I live in a loft on the 5th floor and love hearing the organ in the hallway!
I love hearing this organ. Such a neat instrument and unconventional installation. Always a treat to see.
I mean this in the most genuine way, but what a lovely little Frankenstein of a Wurlitzer 😂
Such a fantastic and loving description. Thank you for making this video. What a Wurlitzer!
Saw this at a SLTOS “Party on the Pipes” several years ago. Also got to hear the big Wurly at the Fox Theatre. Great people and great fun!
The MIM (musical instrument museum) in Phoenix, AZ, has a small pipe organ which was built just for the museum. Much of the organ case is made of glass so when a key is pressed the mechanical action is visible
I visited in June of 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed hearing it play
I think that the best place to here it is on the 4th level at the back of the room with the chambers to your left
my favorite song of the day was ABBA's Mama Mia
What an absolutely fascinating place!
Thanks for another fine presentation, guys.
Thanks for sharing and the organ also
OK, that's amazing!
How fun! I love this video. Great job!
Sounds like the 1926-ish Wurlitzer that I helped to restore, installed in the McKinney Performing Arts Center, McKinney, TX. I've played a silent film with it as well as a couple of Chapter meetings. These 'things' are FUN ! 🙂
A delightful and fun instrument right in the courthouse!
THIS IS SO COOL!
A great video!
Wow, a homemade post horn. Did you know Dave Brewer at all? He helped George Orbits remove, install, remove again and finally install the Fisher Wurlitzer in the Senate theater in Detroit. He had an organ in his basement and made a 16’ octave from scrap parts for the kinura rank.
This is what HOTR should have done
I've wanted to hear this instrument for a while. It was shut off both times I've been there.
@karlrovey, I would like to play the instrument but yeah I would also like to hear it play too from another organist other than myself.
@@WilliamMitchell-sc3fe If I remember correctly, they have it play back midi files of some of the common threatre organ literature is there isn't an event (such as a wedding reception) going on.
What in God's name
