One of the most underrated groups ever imo. Their albums House Tornado, Hunkpapa, and Real Ramona are absolutely incredible. :) I would recommend the songs Dizzy, Devil’s Roof, Not Too Soon, and Red Shoes. So many great songs. Earlier albums included sisters Kristin Hersh and Tanya Donnelly. Tanya also was part of The Breeders on their debut album, and then went on to form Belly. TM has been around a long time and definitely worth multiple listens. :)
Thanks! I love this band. Something I only found out a couple of years ago. Dinamics, you nailed the band's main quality. That was a great introduction to the band. But Not Too Soon and Counting Backwards are their quintessential catchy stuff for me. The entire Real Ramona album is a must have one. But there's much more to dive into their catalogue.
Please do „two step“! It’s one of my absolute favourites. I think it’s the definition of a perfect song, also counting backwards Some other not well known bands from the 90s: I Love You - She’s the one/ I.N.S.E.T. Another Sunny Day - You Should all be Murdered Love Battery - Out of Focus The Wellwater Conspiracy - Sandy and Lucy Leave Other recommendations from the 90s: the Sundays -Can’t Be Sure and My Finest Hour Porno for Pyros - Pets Curve - Horror Head and Fait Accompli Buffalo Tom - Late at Night and Sodajerk Sorry, can you tell how passionate I am about 90s alternative? Haha, love your reactions!
Another band I'd never expect anyone to bother reacting to. Red Heaven was a great albumn. Try Pearl or Rosetta Stone, they both play with the tempo a lot.
If you're new to Throwing Muses - first priority is to dig into the 1984-1991 period, including all the self-released rarities - it's brain-burstingly brilliant (especially if lime me you've wasted time failing to master drums and guitar).
Ohhhh Nick . . . You have become my favourite reviewer... Thanks ever so much for doing this wonderful song...

The Real Ramona is an album of theirs you have to check out. Try Counting backwards from that lp.
