Innocent appearing lecture about a frequently recurrent situation but there is a huge amount of essential knowledge packed into this 16 minute video, never encountered trick move, very interesting L&D situation with 10000 year Ko etc, no Go/Baduk patient should avoid to take this medication prescribed by Doctor YW.
I got this request from students. It took me some time to tidy them up, I get to study naturally when I was presenting them as well ^^ Glad that it could answer your questions in Baduk^^
Forgive me for being late, but, at 0:36 you're saying that the L&D of that shape is a ko, but... you mean if white tenukies or as it is? Cause I got my board here and I was trying out sequences to understand each shape better, and if white plays at R19, I can't bring myself to find a sequence where black gets a ko. Am I missing something, or is it assumed that living with R19is gote and white just accepts having to play the ko eventually?
Interesting lecture, a bit hard to internalize at my 5 kyu tygem level but it give some ideas :). What is the plan (at 3m14) when you attach at G17 with black if white play immediatly J17 ? Just hane and fighting will the wall against the J17 stone ? Use a move like E17 or C17 to use aji in the corner ? If white let the corner to black and manage to break the edge, black would have to live with his wall, morever if he his gote and white manage to peep at P14 in the sequence so it look like you need sharp reading for using it, no ?
Normally we respond to contact moves, and the reason for that is if we dont, our opponents will get a big advantage in the local fight. In this case, when black attaches he will be at a 2 vs 1 disadvantage if white answers. But if white doesnt, then black will have the advantage. Probably play E18 and reduce a the corner a lot in sente, depending on how white anwers, and then attack j17 ¡.
Yes, I realized that after recording. Sometimes I turn down the mic, the volume will be too low. When I turn up too much, it will become like ths😂😂 However, there is not much I can do in the editting T-T

Great content! The audio quality is not so good this time.
