Thank you AMCI. I've been reviewing your EM videos. The explanations are so easy to follow. The break down of each code set keep me engaged and I want to listen to learn more. The presentation is perfect. Thank you!
Disappointed in the mistake Sandeep made in the last scenario. Answer was 99222, 99284-25. He said 99285 and showed the answer as 99285-25. I'm sure it was just an oversight but as a student, I expect the presenters and teachers to make sure they are giving the correct information. This isn't the first time this has happened. Frustrating
THANK You for this! I have my CCA, but I have not purchased new books. I needed this refresher and the new Updates along with these clinical applications.
AMCI explanations are truly superior to any other program. I think its the way the instructors speak that makes it accessible to anyone. Specifically Ms Jay and Ms Tamika. These videos have been a lifesaver. I'm in AAPC program currently, but whenever I don't understand something I look up AMCI videos.
In the emergency department gudelines , the second guidelines say only code critical care but in the cpt book its mentioned that ED +critical care codes both may be reported on same day ,when after completion of ED services the condition of the patient changes and critical care services are provided. Please clarify this doubt
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The Course has terminated, however there is another CEUs E/M and Integumentary Course. I placed the link in the description if you are interested.
1:50 Transrectal ultrasound or Transrectal ultrasound guidance separately reportable service, we can't consider it under Data, Therefore Data level go for Level 3 and Final MDM level go for Level 3 - 99253
In Emergency department guidelines point 3 in this video states that if OBS status, admit and discharge on same date, nursing facilities donot code ED However in scenario number 9, there is ED encounter and later patient is admitted and the answer is 99222,99284-25. Please explain....
Hello, are these scenarios in the AMCI book? And if so how many scenarios do you have? And does the AMCI 2024 book have scenarios? I would like to get the book if it has these scenarios and answer keys.
Hi, From the perspective of a requesting provider ; can a consultation service be counted as Discussion with external physician after the requesting provider gets a report back from the consultant ?
in the scenario one why its not subsequent visit as the same dr has seen the patient earlier and in your guidelines you stated that if the consultant has seen the patient earlier then hospital visit is subsequent . please expalin
Hello, for hospital initial and subsequent observation do we need to code discharged code if in encounter if it is mentioned the patient discharged on another date if admission and discharged on another date, should we use discharge code
It will depend on whether the documentation indicates that the patient has discharged. If a patient discharges on the same date (then you would use an admit and discharge code [if there are two encounters documented]). If the patient is admitted and discharges. Code the appropriate visit codes for the dates of service, however for the final (discharge) date of service. You would use a discharge code. I hope this helps. Make sure you tune in to part 4, we will review more and you should have more clarity.
