Ms Jay thank you for the insight and energy you bring to these videos and lessons! I can not tell you how much you have helped me through certification journey. I have been watching your videos every week as I prepare for my CPC exam (I take the exam in June). I have also shared your website/videos as a handy resource with many of my fellow students. Thank you again for your time, positivity and beautiful spirit.
Hello Mrs. Jay, you are a fantastic teacher. You, teaches to the highest level of understand this course. Very grateful. i am new to this medical coding course, and i just finish the training on your ICD-10-CM part 1 - 3, but i could not find part 4. Can you direct me to where to find it please. Thanks again for you gentle teaching.
Thank you so much Mrs. Jay for helping me to understand prolonged services 100000 times better. You are always so inspirational and the best teachers I have had in a long time even though I am not officially one of your students.
Great Question. If you are an AMCI student, I would suggest attending the Group Studies, and doing practice scenarios in you homework module. If you are not, then see if you can locate Evaluation and Management scenarios. AAPC may have some and I found this link on Quizlet: quizlet.com/674898242/cpc-evaluation-and-management-questions-flash-cards/?i=kp31g&x=1jqt Best wishes you are on your way.
Help! What if there is a time range? Example cpt 99215 (40 - 54 mins). Guideline on pg. 29 says "clock starts" at 40 mins, but must hit 55 mins before you can add prolonged time. Please tell me if I coded this correct. I think the answer is 99215 & 99217 x 7. Total time is 150 minutes so 150 - 40 = 110 mins. Forty mins for the office visit and 110 mins in prolonged time. Established office visit. The MDM is high, and the doctor spends 40 minutes with the patient. However, the patient has many questions and the doctor spends an additional hour and 50 minutes in prolonged direct patient contact.
Thank you for this super video which are easy to understand..could you please upload other systems video of 2023 like intrigumentory and cardiovascular system thank you in advance and keep up the good work
@@AMCIMedicalCodingI'm not sure if I've missed an initial video somewhere, but I'm still missing the basic foundational stone of: when do we use E&M codes? Is it every single time a patient is seen by a QHP? Do we use E&M codes in conjunction with other CPT codes? (Your videos are wonderful! I truly do appreciate you taking the time to make and share them!)
All 4 great E/M presentations. however, will topics after prolonged visits like standby services, case management services, preventive medicine services, etc be covered? or has it already been covered in another presentation? kindly please clarify. Thank you AMCI and Ms Jay and her team for all that you do!
Thank you for your videos. It was really helpful. I have some confused in Scenario #9. In this case might be 99235 is best code than 99236 because When the patient Re-examed , the MDM level is moderate and also Why ED code is not mention in this Scenario even though service was done here. 😕 Please explain
I have a question if anybody knows the answer kindly reply Bill, a retired U.S. airforce pilot, was on observation status 12 hours to assess the outcome of a fall from the back of a pick up truck into a gravel pit The physician discharged bill from observation that same dayvafter determine that no further monitoring of his condition was necessary. The physician indicated that MDM was low complexity

Thank you for your response. I will send this to the instructional team.
I think the reason that they code 99236 is because it documented Dr's total time is 90 min.
@@AMCIMedicalCoding hi ,In scenario 9 why is option C not D becuz ED also mentioned
where can i download PDR CHART
head to amcicoding.com/contact so our team can assist you.

Thank you for your response, but maybe if you slow down the lecture, it will help.
