      @@malobeats Yessir, this video was extremely helpful and informative, and it is no surprise that video is your day job, because I peeped from day one, your content is very professional! I needed to see this because I've been running my channel since 2019 strictly from my Samsung phones, and last year I purchased a Canon M50 Mark ii, but I've been intimidated because it's not my niche. I just finished my 30 Day Beat Challenge, and I wanna take the next few weeks on practicing using it, you have definitely encouraged me with this video my brother. Sorry for the short story lol! Crazy that you have a whole different channel on music production. I know you more from your filmmaking channel back when you used to shoot on the 4K, kinda wish you didn’t stop posting there but it’s awesome to see you doing well.

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh man, you have no idea how much this message hit for me reading it. It hurt me to let that channel go but I still have it and I’m thinking about re-opening it and focusing a bit more on video creation for music production. That channel died for me since I did not have a specific niche. I wanted to talk about other than Cameras but now I kind of want to focus it more on music videography production for concentrators, but it sure is tough maintaining this channel on its own so I know opening up the other one might take some time. Hey man, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this with me it really sparked up something. Nothing but love and blessings to you.

      Absolutely brother, I could do this recording straight into Abel 10 using the Apollo interface but I must stay attached to my computer which I don’t like but with the small zoom H6 I’m able to be anywhere and the preamp‘s do not sound cheap at all they sound amazing and get the job done flawlessly. 🔥🔥🙏🏽

    This was great. Thanks for sharing your process. I appreciated seeing your Synchronize and Detach workflow in FCP. • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Brian, dude you use multi cam clip in Final Cut Pro? I use that on the daily and there are some very cool benefits when it comes down to color grading and processing your audio using the multi cam clips. I’m not sure if you have Instagram but shoot me a DM and I can send you some pretty cool workaround when it comes down to color grade in your individual clips within the multi cam clip

    This is great! I just started my channel and I’m still trying to figure out my style, but it’s more on the cinematic side. One iPhone, no lighting, da Vinci Resolve.

    • @clctvmedia
      @clctvmedia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had that same question a while ago, honestly when you’re using the zoom devices , you don’t have to record into a daw because the zoom is just an audio recorder , that way when your syncing the video and audio clips together, you’re syncing the real time audio, and real time video and not manually applying a, let’s say a hi hat whenever you hit the pad assigned to the hi hat, if that makes sense. You can get a zoom h1n for sub $100 and get started, that way.

    Good stuff. In the past, I was VERY interested in this side of creating content for my music. As time progressed, I focused more on social media interactions with the little time I’ve had. It’s good that I’ve retained some general working knowledge. As I can still notice all the pieces used to enhance results. Your absolutely correct about the need to package music into visuals for maximum impact. I think overall, that’s been what’s drawn me to your channel. The balance of visuals and audio, has become an expectation from you. Btw, I was pleasantly surprised to see an interview with my brethren Sam Poetry. Keep up the great works. Peace…Netm8kr 👍🏾✌🏾✊🏾

    I know this is an older video but i have a question. I think I noticed in your newer vids, you have a volt 476p. Do you use that primarily now, instead of the ZoomH6? I just started my TH-cam (first video up) and I'm trying to figure out the right combo. I record MPC out to ableton, through a 2 channel audio interface. But I really want to have a setup where I can record vocals and MPC at the same time, so I'm kind of stuck on if it's a 4 channel interface i really need, or a small mixer, or a recorder like a Zoom H6 or Tascam portacapture. You've been a big inspiration to me, truly. Thanks Malo!!

    Good stuff Mario! Thank you for sharing the process. I am looking for an all in one solution. Does Zoom make an audio interface/mixer? I wish there was a budget version stand alone mixer with an audio interface built in. A+ on the lighting tips

      The Zoom H6 and the Zoom H8 both doubles as a standalone recorder or an multi track audio interface/ mixer.

I have not use that one myself so I can’t see much on it but it looks very promising and I’m sure it’s an awesome recorder

    2 questions can you still play audio from the mpc live speakers and still get the quality from the zoom h6? sometimes i dont like wearing headphones and is the zoom h6 portable?

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Man, I’m glad you asked this question and trust me I know exactly how you feel lol I do the same thing from time to time. And to answer your question yes you are able to monitor your MPC through the speaker as it’s still sending clean audio through your quarter inch cables directly into your zoom H6 recorder.

  • @Dreckabeatz

    Malo! Happy New Year man! Quick question, when uploading your videos to TH-cam are you using main outs L/R of mk2 directly into your H6? Could I use the headphone out of the MPC instead and go into channel 1 of the H6?

      Hey brother, thank you for taking the time and watching the video and also sharing this feedback. And in regards to final cut pro that is only for Apple computers but there’s a much better editing software called Davinci resolve which is actually free and as powerful as Final Cut if not even better and that one is for PC I would recommend looking into that one.

    hey Malo I'm starting using outboard gear, I bought second hand analog heat, vla pro II compressor, and also from your Electro harmonix comp cuz i see it in your videos and it sound cool : > but my problem is that when i run signal from my mpc x to my audio interface the recording is very quiet and wave form is so tiny but im controling inputs andoutputs gain from all the gear and i can't drive it more... I'm considering changing my Focusrite 8i6 to a Zoom H8 to track all my beats do you think that this can be better solution then interface audio? cuz its seems dope and all your beats sounds great
    please help me 🙏🏼
    I learn so much from you and you and Marlow Digs are my inspiration :> so to say thank you ill grab one of your sampel packs so is little thank you from all the hard work you put in to this videos

    Hey bro!!! I have a TH-cam channel, where I have some beat cook ups and stuff, right now I’m using my iPhone 13, and I’m using my universal audio interface for audio. So far it’s an ok setup. Just wondering what you’d suggest I could improve in the setup? Not really ready to get a new camera but lighting maybe? I use media composer, and wonder share filmora. Also what about promo?

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey brother great channel by the way, I just subscribed to your channel really dig your music and production overall. So I noticed that you’re also in a very tight space which could be a bit challenging but at the same time is a blessing since you won’t need to buy too many lights. I would just recommend one light as your key like the one I would recommend is the one I was talking about here in this video which is the GODOX SL60w link in the bio, that light alone will bri up your space and I also noticed you have a small light lamp in the background on some of your videos which you can use almost as a hair light just in the background of your shot
