Not to mention the track feel, the bike feel when moving around on it.
It's pretty much impossible and useless to try and simulate a bike as opposed to 4 wheels. The only possible thing to learn from it, but they were doing the same with PlayStation's 20 years ago is learning the track layout.
They aren't simulating anything here though. They aren't controlling anything. The bike doesn't match with the movement on screen, it's just a video. It's more for building body strength for pushing and pulling in the bike
It would be kind of cool if they did connect it to a sim for track knowledge, but they may as well play a game for that anyway as there's no way to recreate what they do on the bike, unlike in car sims that can get pretty close
@grandmasterj5 they have connected them to the sim my dude. My local ducati store is currently giving a new supersport 950 away to whoever comes down and puts down the fastest laptime on the sim (also hosting time with Glenn Irwin)

Rare privilege to see athletes from a very different viewpoint, you know.
Notice how smooth and gentle they go into a corner lean? If you watch a rando on these machines, they try to huck all their weight left/right violently. Very interesting to watch
That's also how people turn on the road too..i make the bike move casually left and right with subtle movements and you see people yank their sht around thinking they are fast😂.
No I couldn't because the cameraman couldn't stay in the same position for more than 0.5 seconds

Friend of mine was on the crew for Canadian racer MIguel Duhamel about 30 years ago. There used to be an arcade game that would have several of the leaning bikes and everyone competed against each other in virtual races.
He said Duhamel had so much mentally in reserve he could be winning the race, intentionally distracting his opponents (the race team) with chatter, and checking out the girls all at the same time.
Those things were the sht when i was a boy at the amusement park.
Sadly i didn't have any weight or power on me baci then to play on it,i still have the pictures with my father on them.. I'd kill to find one again nowadays.

That look so damn fun. Especially seeing them and not actually driving these powerful motorcycles. Respect to all the racers in the four wheel and two wheel racing vehicles. Just seeing wgen they race show me that it isn't easy especially for someone who isn't a racer nor has never raced before. The smiles say everything. They had so much fun on the simulator.
I would like to try like it looks cool.
Binden doesn't care he wasn't the fastest, because he knows he is fast.

I've used this at my shop and its not as easy as riding a racebike around track. its stiffer and much heavier to flick the bike side to side!! plus the TV screen isnt that big so if you are used to hanging way off you cant do that on here because then you cant see the TV. it needs like a 75" TV screen

Do they have to pull the bike back up themselves on ghe straights? Usually when you throttle out the bike comes up you know? This looks like alotta work without that. The g force thing isnt too big of a deal because sim racing is still huge and we still can't replicate the g forces there but its real enough that people can go from sim rig to car without much hesitation

Anyone willing to help! I bough a simulator like this but after installing all the sensors and software needed, throttle doesn’t work at the trial version. But throttle seems to work properly at the main menu, it does goes up and down when acelereting. What could it be the problem. We went over the instructions but nothing about throttle troubleshooting.. 😢

Be a lot more realistic if the engine was running and the wheels were spinning.. they DEF have the technology to make that kind of sim.. honestly thinking about it now I'm surprised they haven't

A couple of gyroscopes connected to the throttle on those bikes simulators , to mimic the feeling of centripetal force might give it an even more realistic feel.

Hopefully he'll change this up next year.
He'll figure it out and hopefully the Acosta, Binder and Miller can feed off each other.
Even if they come in 7 - 10th , they are still very quick. It's just that everyone watching thinks 1- 3 is only acceptable.
