I think it's a real example of the sheer influence of content creators. I don't put myself in the same bracket as I'm not anywhere the scale of some YT channels. It's almost like negative videos generate more interest so they all jumped on the bandwagon. I love it too :)

I had a lot of fun with it too, for a sequel it would be great to have: - Some basic ship customization like Rebel Galaxy Outlaw or Starfield - More traditional RPG skill trees to make your character closer to your preferred style - More customization of your weapons and being able to hang on to them Totally agree with your takes, the smuggler RPG can be really fun.

It’s reassuring to see a positive review. As a fan of both Star Wars and stealth games, I’ve been tempted by Outlaws since launch, but had been put off by the review-bombing. Now that it’s on sale and has been patched, I may give it a go. I enjoyed both Jedi games and although I finished them, I didn’t gel with the platforming or the Souls-lite enemy respawning. I imagine Outlaws would be far more up my street. Thanks again!
No worries! I find it's too easy to jump on the review bomb bandwagon when those people have their own agenda I.e. generate more views for their channel. I enjoyed it probably more so than Jedi Survivor though it is a close call
I’m only about 15 hours in but I’m enjoying it. (I’ve only been to Toshara and Tattooine so far, so still early on.) Its base is clearly Assassin’s Creed but it’s way more than that. The locations are gorgeous, the Easter eggs are fun, and it’s got that classic Star Wars feel. I do find the stealth fetch quest being the main game mode a little repetitive, personally. I like that Kaye is not confident or smooth in the beginning, I hope that changes as the plot advances.

Thank you! I feel there was so many people using it as an axe to grind against Ubisoft. Other games have started out poor and redeemed themselves look at Cyberpunk. I have a lot of respect for game developers and I don't think they deserved what they got or even the cast of actors in the game
Got it today for Christmas. Only played 30 mins but I can tell i might even like this better than Survivor. I waited for the bugs to be patched and so glad i did. Also happy they improved the stealth aspect. Those two things held me back from buying it. Glad i got it as a gift instead.
I hate to admit I think I enjoyed it more than Survivor too. I think it's the exploration element they have just nailed it better. I spent so many hours searching for treasures. Thanks for watching my video really appreciated 👏

It really is I dont think people give the graphics the appreciation they deserve. I think for me it is also about the detail in the environments and how 'Star Wars' they feel. Have you got the shock rod yet for armored enemies? That was a godsend for me
Exactly. Mad max is amazing and only got ignored because it came out against mgsv and fury road. Absolutely tragic. Such a great game from avalanche. This has that same “wait, what is everyone TALKING about, this game is super solid” (post 1.4 patch)
I'm really enjoying this game, I don't understand all the hate. People need to try it and form their own conclusions rather than believe all the negativity from so called 'influencers'. The clue is in the name - they influence for better or for worse, based on what benefits them the most. In this case, it seems hating is better for views and monetization.
I couldn't agree more! It certainly feels that some people base their whole channel and personality on being a troll. I'd rather take a game for what it is and not be so precious about it. I'm loving Indiana Jones but I'd say the stealth is 100% worse than Outlaws but you don't see people complaining about that game!
I just picked this up played 4 hours and I can’t believe the hate this game got, Im sure it wasn’t great at launch but to be fair the devs have patched up all the major issues pretty quickly. The price tag and all the dlc monetisation was probably a factor in why people were put off but its a really good game for the fraction Iv played

Ubisoft just shit themselves in the foot by releasing an unfinished game. I bought it early n it was bad with bugs at the time. I plan on going back now because it was fun.
Unfortunately with the game industry as it is it seems to be the standard that games aren't finished products when they're released but I agree some of the simplest things could have been done before it was released. Like carrying weapons up ladders lol

I just finally started playing this a few days ago and am constantly finding myself dismayed by how all those Internet w@nkers had done nothing but pour scorn on a game which, I'm finding, is filled with plenty to enjoy. Must be depressing for developers to spend years building a beautiful & fun game only to be shot to pieces by a small group of bigoted bullies: We need more voices like yours!

No game is 100% perfect but at least now games can be changed and updated which is surely only a positive
While there is some redeeming qualities this game( like the environments)it just didn’t hit for me. It needed better gameplay, a more compelling plot,more companion quests, and removal and rework of game mechanics such as dropping guns. When Ubisoft is cooking they don’t miss

It’s a good thing to be passionate about anything in life but it’s your execution is what matters and people see. I can forgive shallow stories but gameplay is king and I think they dropped the ball a bit. For example not being able to shoot freely when being pursued on the speeder bike. But that’s just my long winded two cents lol

You are playing the updated version of the game. They fixed a lot of the nasty bugs and poor game design choices that were present in the game at launch. That's the real reason the game got such poor reviews. It's the developer's fault for releasing the game in such a bad state. They did not playtest properly nor listen to feedback. It's the same thing that happened with Cyberpunk 2077. Something that has become more and more common and is no longer being tolerated by the fans. Even other game developers have commented on this and stated that the game was released in deplorable shape. Though the game seems to be playable now, Ubisoft, however, will not be getting their return on investment for this game after making such a bad first impression. The fans voted with their wallets and did not buy it. Had you played the game at launch, you would not be singing its praises now. Everyone hated it then because it was awful! And it wasn't just the fans. Even outlets like IGN and Gamespot gave it a bad score at launch, and they are access media, pretty much game industry insiders
I guess you didn't watch my video then but thanks for the feedback. I purchased it launch fully in the knowledge of all the alleged bugs. As I said towards the end I was also aware of how many there were, some people with broken quests and side quests. As I said I didn't have that experience. I've played games with far worse bugs that did not receive as much hate. I respect players choosing to vote with their wallets and that is your choice. I'm also agree with you I am sick of developers releasing unfinished games and releasing day 0 patches but unfortunately it's how the game industry is right now. Also, being aware of something and having seen the bugs are two different things. I also mentioned the poor game design choices. Like the fact that any weapons you picked up, the game would force you to drop them at certain times for no reason, and the very bad forced stealth sections of the game. These are the things everyone saw in video reviews, while playing the game or just watching others play the game. There were plenty of game-breaking bugs that made playing the game extremely unpleasant. That you didn't encounter them means you were lucky, because plenty of others did, including professional game journalists.

I loved Tatooine and Toshara the most. Mos Eisley was so good! I love using photo mode on the plains of Toshara, so many good views!

Just DL this in the Steam sale. Got to play a couple of hours before work and loved it. Just wanna go home play some more!

If you die and restart from quicksave point, you will lose a lot of credits from your account! Only normal - manual game saves!
