Danny's Cover of The last unicorn, is so beautiful. He did it to promote a tour the book author was doing after settling legal shenanigans with the people who held the rights to the movie.
I first saw Nausicca as a little kid as the shortened Warriors of the Wind-well before I even knew what the hell anime was. I remember when I read about stuff like Akira and Bubblegum Crisis and thought, "oh cool, Japan does some sci-fi animated stuff." A few years later, "HOLY SHIT THEY DO ALL THE ANIMATED STUFF!"

YES!! This is one of NSP's greatest songs and it was made with so much love and power behind it
Danny don't you know and heart boner are really good songs by them. They also have a band called star bomb that focus on video game themed songs. If you want a more serious song sung by danny, I suggest nightrunner: magnum bullets or maybe starlight brigade by TWRP. TWRP and NSP actually collaborate a lot
And if you want another rock opera type, though very much not serious, 6969.
Glad you are doing more NSP, this was a good one for sure. On a side note Congratulations to the singer Danny who just recently announced that he got married, they had been withholding coming out with it publicly so they can have it to themselves for a while but being in the public eye, with bands (yes plural, unless I missed something and NSP isn't doing new stuff since Danny's new band), a youtube lets play channel where they often talk openly about deep personal stuff, and on that same channel a series where they do a bunch of random funny videos it is bound to come up eventually
I cannot find anything announcing he and Ash got married. It isn't on either of their Instagrams and Dan doesn't use Twitter.

I second all the songs other people have posted of theirs to do next, but I would add 6969 to that list. It's a lot like this one but in a futuristic setting and inspired by Rush.
NSP loved Rush and their epic songs from the 70's and 80's, which in turn inspires some of their music. They've also done some great covers of Rush songs in their "Under the Covers" albums.

LOVE love love that you've found NSP...I just found them myself. Their original stuff is great. Musically on point and very creative. I actually really like their covers, like "We Built this City" and "Take on Me"
Every live action performance is a cameo and internet icon! The guy who fell asleep with the stuffed bear is Jacksepticeye (Sean McLoughlin) on TH-cam. When this was recorded and released, his father had passed away quite recently.

I'm a simple man, I see a reaction to NSP and I watch it and watch them love it like I do.
Danny Don't You Know is my favorite NSP song (though The Mystic Crystal is a very close second). It's hilarious yet heartfelt and I relate to it so much.
NSP, or Ninja Sex Party, is Danny Sexbang (Dan Avidan) and Ninja Brian (Brian Wecht). The story is that they were both Ninjas and Danny decided he didn't want to be a ninja anymore and just wanted to sing and dance, to Ninja Brian's disbelief. Their first song is "I Just Want To (Dance)". The joke is Brian hates everyone and everything but is made to participate in Dannys light-hearted shenanigans. Brian is always killing Danny and other characters whenever he gets a chance and Danny is always poking fun at Brian for no reason, like saying he has erectile disfunction or an STD (referenced in the songs "The Decision" and "The Decision Part 2: Ten Years Later", the latter of which references a TON of their songs they've performed in the last 10 years). I could write a novel about these guys.
Dan Avidan is also half of the group Game Grumps, they play video games and just have a good time.
Keep up their works of art. 6969 and Danny Don't You Know next. Those combines with this song are passion projects for them.

You were very close about the animation being close to beauty and the beast. It takes heavy inspiration from Don Bluth films, who did work for Disney at a point, but it takes more from the movie The Last Unicorn, an animated movie Dan the lead singer has said several times is one of his favorite movies and books growing up. Even did a cover of the theme of that movie.
If you want a Rock Opera you need to listen to 6969 by them, its an adventure...
