This song means a lot to me. I went through a breakup of someone I was with for almost 5 years. She cheated and left me for him. I discovered this song shortly after. Being able to find solace and listen to a song that perfectly describes the emotions and pain that I felt when going through the same thing helped me find peace. Made me feel less alone at a time when I had never felt more alone. Thank you Witt for creating this masterpiece of a song and being very relatable and honest with the lyrics. People that have gone through it understand and relate to every lyric. For the people reading that have are here because you’re going through a breakup, just remember that it does get better. Take it day by day. Focus on your goals and keep in mind that it will get better, even if it seems like it never will. I almost took my life over it and I now realize that that would’ve been a horrible decision. I’m glad I didn’t. You will heal and come out of it a better and stronger person. I got cheated on and lied to after a year and a half with a girl... 3 weeks before she was about to move in with me, I found out all of the lies and cheating that she had been doing. It is overwhelming because I did everything for her to the point where I lost myself. I treated her with kindness, comfort, and spent more on seeing her and things she wanted than I did on myself.
