I run dragon king eyepatch, Kulve chest beta, Kaiser vambraces beta, kulve waist beta, and kulve legs beta, paired with the paralysis kulve glaive, and it provides a great base set with wiggle room to add a few skills dependent on what charm, and decorations you want to use.
If you switch out the flawless jewels for mighty jewels you will have 100% affinity on the ground. I have a build with another glaive that hits 1200 attack with all buffs.
Universal insane damage elementless crit build: weakness exploit 7, crit boost 3, weakness exploit 3, part breaker 3, non-elemantal boost and a couple other freebies (resuscitate, flinch free 1, stun res 2). You will need Death Stench A (destroyer jewel), Kulve chest A (expert jewel), Xino Claws A (expert jewel), Odogaron Coil B (tenderizer jewel), Dante boots A (2x expert jewel) and breaker charm 2. Your weapon also must have a lvl 2 jewel slot for the non-elemental boost (vice glaive, diablos clubs 2 DB, etc). I highly recommend this build. I also have another similar build that swaps critical eye for attack boost
There's a really good golden insect glaive with 20% of afinity, ice element, and 700 something attack. when i did a build for it ground attacks were 50-60+ it was great as a base for the build, but you vid gave me ideas to edit my build :3
If you have enough expert decorations, I would take off the one steadfast and 2 vital decorations and put in 3 more expert so you can keep your expert 7 as well as free up your charm for something else like maybe attack charm 3 or unscathed charm II for 2 flawless to free up one of your 2 slots on your build and get flawless level 3 for attack +20 when at max health, maybe put in a mind's eye decoration since you might ding off of some things like Kushala's wings with only blue sharpness if you have that decoration. Pretty good build though.
I got two questions 1. How did you do a hit with crit and a hit without crit cuz I couldn't tell the difference 2. You said you get 80% affinity? I didnt say that either
I have the non elemental insect glave with white sharpness but the base attack is 527 it's cool but my golden axe build does more damage I also find the neragante helm with 2 points of max might along with a might gem would have better results.. do to the fact your stamina grows back when your on the ground and not rolling so you always have full stamina there for full might

Keep in mind my hunter rank is 434 so the build I have is definitely more optimal but it requires 4 attack jewels and more. That being said here is a set that uses nonelemental para glaive. This set is something you only use if you dont have tarorth water or a master's touch set that is too difficult to maintain on a given monster Para Glaive- Non elemental boost Nergi Helmet Alpha- Attack Jewel Kulve taroth A Or - doesnt matter just have a critical boost in it plus another attack jewel kaiser vambraces- critical boost. or lunastra gloves with tenderizer and critical boost nergigante coil - Maximum might Dante's leather boots two attack jewels Agitator's charm Assuming its augmented, this results in 95% affinity when hitting weak spots on the ground. agitator charm is another dps skill but it can be anything else. Handicraft charm is overkill on the blue it already has. You can forgo the affinity augment and rely on the agitator charm for the near 100% affinity to get the regen augment instead. However the lunastra xeno glaive is a better regen glaive potentially outperforming non elemental glaives as well. The three extra attack jewels can be replaced with critical eye as a substitute. not bad if you dont have it augmented. if you dont have Maximum might, literally anything else airborne if you want to be a helicopter as for critical boost jewels. keep grinding. I copied your build but I removed the flawless gems and augmented the weapon with 1 gem slot and I didn't use vitality gems so guess what I added to the 5 free slots Attack boost level 5 u can sacrifice to level 4 and add ariborne for dmg too
Diablos glaive might have higher raw damage. But the -30% affinity is god awful. The build will work with any weapon really. Just swap out the elementlesss gem if you are using an elemental weapon

TagBackTV having negative affinity with high damage weapons really isn’t that bad. I think people really underestimate negative affinity. I just wish it had better white and blue sharpness. But the big raw damage more than makes up for the affinity. It still puts out insane dps without any affinity upgrades. I said affinity way too many times. Love the vids Tag!

Stomping Tyrantrum you honestly just need dps. Healers and buffers ( HH , ect ) and tanks arnt really necessary. I'd never deny a HHer but seriously 4 dps on one monster = 3 to 5 minute run. 4 dps that know what their doing at least. Support roles are always nice but this game isn't a typical mmo where roles are particularly needed.
No man, you didn't get the point. adding 1 point of evade wont make you a support build or saving someone with a lifepowder because he is stun or paralyzed
If you're going to use IG for ground combat only you're far better off using another weapon other than IG. With that being said this video seems rather pointless since it takes away the one aspect that makes IG so unique. I get you're a content creator and need ideas to put videos out for, but the second you mentioned ground only IG I immediately stopped watching.
If you watched you would have seen the Addition of an Arial Varient. While It is fun to do the Arial Attacks. The Damage is actually a fraction of the damage you do while on the ground. Its great for closing gaps or doing damage while evading. Also, the damage from a "ground build" also increases the damage from arial attacks ;). My personal opinion is, its fun to flop around, but you loose a ton of damage doing it.
Triad2474 Personally, IG has the most comfortable grounded moveset and feels good, so telling me not to use it as my main ground weapon is ridicules. The aerial attacks aren't even worth the effort seeing as the grounded moves do way more damage per second.

Assuming its augmented, this results in 95% affinity when hitting weak spots on the ground.
agitator charm is another dps skill but it can be anything else. Handicraft charm is overkill on the blue it already has. You can forgo the affinity augment and rely on the agitator charm for the near 100% affinity to get the regen augment instead. However the lunastra xeno glaive is a better regen glaive potentially outperforming non elemental glaives as well.

airborne dosen't work on insect glaive air attacks.. it only works on jump attacks.
