3 of us went to hunt a old school site that has been pounded to death. They both hunted with equinoxes and I had my Deus 2. They each found a wheat penny. I found 3 IH,s, 2 wheats, eagle button and silver ring. Coming from being a equinox user to the Deus 2 I could not be happier I made the jump. Love it.
Just got the Deus II couple of days ago used it twice and I’m impressed with it. Your videos on the machine have help me greatly. I actually posted a video on my channel of my 1st find with it ! MC🐆
Nice vid. Deus 2 on the way to me. I do often hunt colonial in iron. The Nox has been good company the last 5 years. I’ve used all kinds of detectors since 1986 and the cream of todays detectors are the great unmaskers. The Nox has located Spanish silvers, British, state & federal coppers and more at these sites. I will put the D2 through the nastiest carpets of iron at these sites, I know there is more.

Just got mine in today! Scheduling problems with meeting UPS for signature. Lol,I actually chased the truck down flashing my high beams. But I got it and did an hour test this evening. 7 year Deus 1 hunter. Omg I got some freshies to hit tommorow. Great vid and thanks for the tips!! So pumped. Nothing like learning a new machine. Breathes some youth back into the hobby!

I traded in all my detectors and got the D2 because my previous ones (MX Sport was newest) were all heavy for me and my medical condition and I wanted a good multi frequency machine for salt water beaches and lightweight. I finally got out, twice, detecting again after a year and a half and my arm was great. my body gave out before my arm. Now I just need to research and line up more permissions for the fall/winter/spring. thank you for the great information and videos.

I agree with you, I love the Deus2! It’s an extremely efficient machine, the menu system is very logical, and easy to learn, and the metal detector is light! Especially the machine I put together using the WS6 Puck as master. Your videos are the bomb! I watched all your instructional videos on the Deus2, and save them to my phone.
That's a great hunt, again, love the coin program !! Looks like it was a little chilly ..... I found yet another hidden cellar behind my place this winter and needed to hit it before it grows over. Very nice hunt. I don't care about the comparisons either. Gotten crazy. Even the update "issue" with the D2, something I am not experiencing. Still yanking good targets out of the dirt, no problems. Don't have hot dirt or use FT much anymore due to the square tones. Really like it in 5 tones, square, with tone breaks.
Good Hunt! I have been hunting in a lot of modern trash, I really enjoy using sensitive full tones with Square. It hasn’t taken long for me to get a grip on how Square full tones communicates with some tones warbling, clipping or starting and finishing abruptly. I can just about tell when something is round, or at least I think I can. When I’m getting into the big lawn fields, I love fast, also with full square tones. Pitch is great too. Fast has had no problem finding minuscule little pieces of tinfoil and canslaw. But that just means I’m also finding the micro jewelry. It’s already happened plenty of times. Depending on the situation and the feedback, I may adjust silencer and reactivity but half of the time I really don’t need to make too many adjustments. I am loving this instrument and pulling up tons of coins in areas I have already scrutinized with my deus 1 and my equinox. This unit is spooky😆. Thanks for the fun and peaceful video

I’m not too interested in digging giant craters but how many times have you clearly heard a nice tight nonferrous signal and thought it was only 5 inches down? 🤣🤣
@@MentalMetal it’s crazy took me nearly a month to get used to the way objects sound at depth. I’m pretty much using audio response at four, I’ve gotten used to that now and I am pulling up objects at the bottom of my plug or in the bottom of my plug. Geez it took a long time to figure that out though. It interesting how changing the silencer from 0 to 3 isn’t really affecting coins much, at least not in the soil I’m testing in. Thats cool GML glad you are figuring it out. Now, even though the Silencer isn't impacting coins that much, try raising your reactivity to 3 and see what happens. I have video on that coming out soon. But teaser alert, for deep coin hunting don't go above 2 on your recovery speed.
Been using your D2 coin program for a couple weeks now. Works great, but nickels are killing me, being so close to pull tabs. However, played with my Legend for a little while today and it seems to hit on nickels pretty hard. Great videos for both machines as Ive used several of your settings.
Thanks Jerry, if you watch the xy screen you can 90% of the time make out the pull tabs, they will have a hook at the end of the line (zoomed in at 4).
Excellent video… I used your coin program the last few times out and it has helped me sort out a lot of tones but now I am anxious to get out there and try the fast program. Since I am in Pittsburgh I think we are sharing soil that is probably pretty close . Thanks for the great videos
Don't over think FAST, just start out with the defaults and watch the numbers, add in a notch if you need to. Get ready to be #blownaway :-) Good luck and thank you!
I read somewhere that if the numbers jump in 3 or 4 either way probably junk. I really didn't need it, but I'm waiting to get it, I want to run it along side of a old Gardiner 202b @ 26khz.
Yeah if it jumps 3 or 4 I probably wouldn't dig it and I'm also going to check it with the XY screen as well. That usually seals the deal on a dig or no dig situation unless its really deep. In that case, I will always dig because some of those deep silver coins don't come up with a solid number.
I have a Nox 600. I want to upgrade. I’m Considering the Legend. But I’ve heard the Deus 2 is great. What is your opinion of the two I’m considering. Is the Deus 2 very complicated?
Hey Mike so I have both but find myself picking up the Deus II more than the Legend. But I'm very familiar with the Deus. I have more time on the machine than I do with the legend. I think the Legend has a lot to offer for the price and there is a mountain of debate whether its just as good as an Equinox or Deus II. With the new update they came out with version 1.08 made the Legend more competitive for sure but now I think its more complicated to navigate than the Deus is but thats my opinion. I'm sure if I picked up the Legend more I would feel different.

Hey Mike, I'm not going to be able to answer your question yet. I don't have enough time on the Legend to make a good judgement. I'm very familiar with both the original Deus and Deus II so I'm biased. I was never much of a fan of the Nox until I used one and its performance sold me but I never like the way it felt. The Legend is built better than the Nox and you get more for your money. If I told you to go with the D2 over the Legend I would only be giving you biased information. Once I get more time on the Legend with this new update I should be able to tell. Sorry I just don't feel good leading you one way or another. It all comes down to how you intend to hunt with the machine as well and if weight of the machine matters and so on.
Want to move up from a Garrett AT Pro to either a deus 2 or equinox 800, possibly CTX 3030 not sure about the money on that one. I hunt a lot of different areas been hitting a lot of trashy areas lately not too much luck. I also enjoy your videos very informative, Mark from Ohio, thanks

The coin program in this video is based off of Park and I've tried using Deep HC but I don't like it as much. I'm still messing around with it in Deep HC.
It's terrible unfortunately. I've seen loads of people complaining about the iron signals creating wasteful digging. Even in my club everyone with a deus 2 are complain about the problem with iron. Upto now XP have not responded to any Emails people have sent. I really hope they sort this with a software update.
I've had great success with it in iron. I think you are hearing folks complain about the full tones that have some going crazy (if you like hunting in full tones). I've never been a big fan of full tones but some really love using it that way.
I finally figured out what I'm going to do with all of the old lead I've found over the years....melt it down and cast them into bullets for my 444 Marlin and make sinkers.....that's all i got today....nice finds!

Just got back from my 1st Deus 2 hunt, EXTREMELY trashy ghost town site. NO CLEAR GROUND ANYWHERE! old lead sealed cans everywhere. Popped a 1896 dime, 1896 Indian Head & a 5 gal water token. Time will tell if its beating out the Nox, ive hit the same site with the 800 & have had some success also.
Nice and congrats. I don't think its going to be easy to say if one beats out the other. There are many out there doing just that. They are both fantastic machines. I think its going to come down to personal preference over performance to be 100% honest but that's just my opinion.

Still learning with my Nox 800, haven't hit such trashy areas that ive bought the 6" coil yet, but have heard others have success with it in real trashy areas? Overall, just curious how the Nox 800 with smaller coil would compare to deus?

I hit a pounded site that wasn't given much up and ended up pulling a 1913 large cent and a 1875 farthing using the stock fast program. I'm coming from the nox and wont be going back till i master this machine.

Have to keep plugging away at the channel it took a couple of years to get some decent viewers for me. I'm no superstar but occasionally it works out with a good video at time. To answer your question about the difference between the 2, I would say the biggest items that brought me back is a better, quieter, and more stable machine. Making it 100% waterproof was something else we have been asking for. They are still both complicated machines but once you unlock some of the magic they will compete if not outdo most of the machine on the market in the right conditions.
Doesn't even mention the base program! The most important aspect of a custom. Program. Sorry, but you do not know how to use this detector. Nobody would use 5 tone one a site like this. I am guessing your base program is general.
Don't get your nickers in a bunch my friend. It was something I was trying out/testing but you are wrong, base program was Park and it was 5 tones but if you know how to use it then you would know that by setting the 1st 2 tone breaks down to 100 hz then you really only have a 3 tone program if you don't count the iron sound. But you would also know that if you did that you would be missing a bunch of GOOD targets. But if you raise the 2nd tone break to something like 400 hz then you can hear those other signals. I disagree with your 3 reactivity opinion. The D2 is super fast and you will hardly ever need anything above 2.5. Thanks for the passive aggressive comment though. Just a simple question or two would have been a better approach but you did get my attention. Now I'll go back and read the manual and check out your how to videos on the D2 on your channel since I don't know what I'm doing. 🤣

I like your attitude I hunt heavy iron with my eq 800 hunt in park 2 recovery speed on 8 sensitivity on 16 iron on I hunt slow an have great results

I hit a pounded site that wasn't given much up and ended up pulling a 1913 large cent and a 1875 farthing using the stock fast program. I'm coming from the nox and wont be going back till i master this machine.
Fast is great in high trash and iron but you won't get a lot depth. Check out Deep HC or Park to pick up those deep targets.
Also is it just me or does the MI6 operate noticeably differently on the 2 versus the 1?
That is one thing that I have not done yet but will soon.

I’ve been using the AT pro international for nearly ten years and I love it , but I have to say I’ve always been interested in the xp deus and now the xp deus 2. What’s the difference between the two? Thanks for your video.
I’m thinking of finishing my channel no ones watching most of the time ha ha ha might just start to get out there and enjoy it for myself and no filming he he.

Have to keep plugging away at the channel it took a couple of years to get some decent viewers for me. I'm no superstar but occasionally it works out with a good video at time. To answer your question about the difference between the 2, I would say the biggest items that brought me back is a better, quieter, and more stable machine. Making it 100% waterproof was something else we have been asking for. They are still both complicated machines but once you unlock some of the magic they will compete if not outdo most of the machine on the market in the right conditions.
I really want one but $1700 is pretty steep.
I really wish they would come down in price too.
I didn't see anything that amazing compared with the newer machines out these days. Only that it costs twice as much.

Doesn't even mention the base program! The most important aspect of a custom. Program. Sorry, but you do not know how to use this detector. Nobody would use 5 tone one a site like this. I am guessing your base program is general.
Don't get your nickers in a bunch my friend. It was something I was trying out/testing but you are wrong, base program was Park and it was 5 tones but if you know how to use it then you would know that by setting the 1st 2 tone breaks down to 100 hz then you really only have a 3 tone program if you don't count the iron sound. But you would also know that if you did that you would be missing a bunch of GOOD targets. But if you raise the 2nd tone break to something like 400 hz then you can hear those other signals. I disagree with your 3 reactivity opinion. The D2 is super fast and you will hardly ever need anything above 2.5. Thanks for the passive aggressive comment though. Just a simple question or two would have been a better approach but you did get my attention. Now I'll go back and read the manual and check out your how to videos on the D2 on
your channel since I don't know what I'm doing. 🤣
