I don’t know if you are familiar with the Goose berry patch books?? They were very popular back then. I remember loving to look through the craft ideas back then. My mom gave me all of there cookbooks that she had and I still enjoy looking through the craft ideas. The older I got the earlier I wanted my antiques to be so I'm more into 1800's antiques and treen , crocks old lighting pieces . old leather bound books antique baskets etc. Keep you eye out for some earlier things to add to your look.
Absolutely, I love digging at country malls and antique shops. Some of the items you’ve mentioned are definitely on my wish list. My uncle was really into antiques and I had a cousin who had a antique shop for many years, sadly they both passed away before I developed a love and interest for old pieces.

Love that you are decorating in the style. I call it a style but this is my homestead to a dime. I still use a lot of my pieces daily. I am now 70 yrs. Old and have items as far back as from my great grandparents.

The cupcake pan looks like the one. My mom gave me, the bottom of the cups have that lined design for lack of a better description on it as well, but hers is the 12. One time when I was making cupcakes for my grandson for something and I borrowed hers and she said I never use it go ahead and keep it. So if my memory is correct, it was one of their wedding presents and so it’s over 70 years old.

There have been a few times when my mom has gave me something that she had for a long time but she saw it as nothing important….. but when she gave it to me it was like she gave me the best gift ever. I’m so thankful for all of the things that my mom has handed down to me over the years. My mom giving me something that was hers means more to me then anything she could ever buy for me. I just found your channel and I am thrilled with your new content! I have always loved country decorating in the more traditional style, but in the last few years I have shifted to a more primitive country farmhouse style! We live in a hundred years old home and it definitely lends itself to this style! I am excited to find more trends seeming to go back to the more primitive styles of decorating! I love watching you tube decorating channels, but have been disappointed to not find as many primitive country styles. Now it seems there is more of that making a come back and it is so fun to watch and get more inspiration! I am looking forward to more content you will have in the future! Growing up that’s what my mom and sister decorated in so I guess it came naturally that I would follow in there footsteps. I do the mass majority of my décor shopping at country malls and thrift shops. I like to think of the story that all of my pieces I buy have to tell. I was very lucky that there was a cabinet available at the country mall I love so much. There is a waiting list with two people ahead of me for a larger area. But I’m thankful that I was at least able to get the cabinet. I hope you are able to get a spot soon, it sounds like we have a lot in common and I look forward to getting to chat with you. Hi Melanie, I am new to your channel. I am a mixture of some styles, I love antiques and replicas. I like rustic and farmhouse. But recently I am wanting to add some primitive as well. When I look at video's of just one style it looks nice but not me, I like to find a way to combine these and still look like a style (if that makes sense!) I liked how you used the scoop light in the birdcage. Something unique.

She used it when my mom was a little girl and my mom is 84 years old. I will be sharing it in a future video. I love that you also have a sentimental attachment to precious treasures. I don’t know if you are familiar with the Goose berry patch books?? They were very popular back then. I remember loving to look through the craft ideas back then. My mom gave me all of there cookbooks that she had and I still enjoy looking through the craft ideas. The older I got the earlier I wanted my antiques to be so I'm more into 1800's antiques and treen , crocks old lighting pieces . old leather bound books antique baskets etc. Keep you eye out for some earlier things to add to your look.
Absolutely, I love digging at country malls and antique shops. Some of the items you’ve mentioned are definitely on my wish list. My uncle was really into antiques and I had a cousin who had a antique shop for many years, sadly they both passed away before I developed a love and interest for old pieces.

Love that you are decorating in the style. I call it a style but this is my homestead to a dime. I still use a lot of my pieces daily. I am now 70 yrs. Old and have items as far back as from my great grandparents.

I seen a picture someone took of a old metal chick feeder the round one with holes and the jar was full of buttons so cute
The cupcake pan looks like the one. My mom gave me, the bottom of the cups have that lined design for lack of a better description on it as well, but hers is the 12. One time when I was making cupcakes for my grandson for something and I borrowed hers and she said I never use it go ahead and keep it. So if my memory is correct, it was one of their wedding presents and so it’s over 70 years old.
Hi Anne 🙋♀️the pieces that are passed down to us from our moms are priceless aren’t they❤️ it’s wonderful to know that it was her wedding gift. There have been a few times when my mom has gave me something that she had for a long time but she saw it as nothing important….. but when she gave it to me it was like she gave me the best gift ever. I’m so thankful for all of the things that my mom has handed down to me over the years. My mom giving me something that was hers means more to me then anything she could ever buy for me. I just found your channel and I am thrilled with your new content! I have always loved country decorating in the more traditional style, but in the last few years I have shifted to a more primitive country farmhouse style! We live in a hundred years old home and it definitely lends itself to this style! I am excited to find more trends seeming to go back to the more primitive styles of decorating! I love watching you tube decorating channels, but have been disappointed to not find as many primitive country styles. Growing up that’s what my mom and sister decorated in so I guess it came naturally that I would follow in there footsteps. I do the mass majority of my décor shopping at country malls and thrift shops. I like to think of the story that all of my pieces I buy have to tell. I was very lucky that there was a cabinet available at the country mall I love so much. There is a waiting list with two people ahead of me for a larger area. But I’m thankful that I was at least able to get the cabinet. I hope you are able to get a spot soon, it sounds like we have a lot in common and I look forward to getting to chat with you. When I look at video's of just one style it looks nice but not me, I like to find a way to combine these and still look like a style (if that makes sense!) She used it when my mom was a little girl and my mom is 84 years old. I will be sharing it in a future video. I love that you also have a sentimental attachment to precious treasures.
