We hiked in on a ridge that ended in a cliff edged butte. Core veneer rubble filled walls went around the perimeter of the butte and blocked off the ridge access. The perimeter wall was around 1 1/4m wide with the highest point about 1 1/4m on the inside. The wall was higher on the outside. We did not see any loopholes, but the wall was in bad shape with lots of wall fall on the level below the cliffs. The area had burned sometime in the past leaving little shrubbery, but lots of grasses. The inside dimensions of the walled area was roughly 64m NE/SW by 88m NW/SE. There were 2 clusters of rooms inside the wall. We saw a faced side entrance on several rooms. A cluster of 6 rooms was in the NE part of the site. A cluster of 6 rooms was on the SW part of the site. In the SW part, a skewed entry went directly into one end of 2 contiguous rooms. 5m north of the skewed entry was a possible entry that led into the open area of the walled enclosure. The SW area also had a mortar and metate fragment . Plain and decorated pottery was lightly scattered across the site. An enclosed ring of upright embedded rocks in the SW part of the site may have been a shrine. The diameter was less than 1m and there were no signs of a campfire. Agave was scattered around the entire site.
