My mother used two eggs and soft rising flour salt and pepper and other spice and mix it up like you did she didn't put milk in it neither and they turned out perfect all the time I made noodles with that and not cut them into squares my son used to just love my dumplings sometimes I mix it up use a a spoon and used to take out the mixture and put in the boiling broth I used to put in chicken soup and and bean soup and different other kinds of soup oh my God my son just loved that my dumplings I called them doodads
@@Aprilinthekitchen I just got done making this recipe and I think I need to improve on some things. The thickness of the dumplings. I think mine were too thin cause mine came out too chewy. The bright side is they didn't fall apart Yay! I used 2% milk which might make a difference and maybe over working the dough. Also I used chicken thighs instead of a whole chicken, so maybe too much liquid cause I was not able to get the dumplings cooked down like yours. I could have probably done a slurry. I will like and subscribe cause this is so so so close to what my mom used to make. Thank you and I will keep trying. Delicious nonetheless!
It depends boneless skinless chicken breast takes about 15 minutes to boil depending on the thickness a whole chicken about 90 minutes I do have a chicken broth tutorial on my TH-cam channel hope this helps 🥰✨

@ what kind of flour did you use

@ you just probably over mixed once you have everything incorporated just go ahead and roll it out it’s kind of tricky but you will get it 💜

The veggies that made the broth I discard because all of the the flavor they provide is in the broth now
