Greetings from the PacWest chapter of R Gruppe! I believe I may have seen this car in Scott's shop a couple of years ago when he was building it. He really does do outstanding work, with his attention to detail being second to none. Whoever owns this car has a truly outstanding example of the sports purpose 911.
Beyond that, I would like to add my hearty endorsement of your ST type oil cooling system. I had been fighting oil temperature problems in my '72 911 R interpretation for years. I'm running a very healthy high compression, twin plugged, MFI inducted 3.0 liter in this car. No trouble at any point in normal street use, but out on the track had been another issue entirely. Hot days would see me cutting sessions short as the oil temps rose to an uncomfortable level. This was with one of your single Wide Mouth coolers and finned lines, which I was admittedly over taxing. I was at a loss, as I did not want to add the center RS style cooler, which simply didn't fit with the "theme" of my car. Your ST style kit saved the day. The car now has more than ample cooling capacity not only up here in the Pacific Northwest, but even when I participate in our R Gruppe "Sports Purpose Days" out in the California desert. And, on top of that, it gets lots of comments on the rare occasion I park it long enough to participate in a "cars and coffee" or other such car show. Not many people, even early 911 guys, know what's going on when they first see it. Very cool stuff (pardon the pun...). I cannot say enough about this kit for anyone in need of some extra oil cooling. It really did the trick for my car.
