Wilson Shift 300 with some lead tape was my favourite release - great balance between a players racquet and tweener. I just wish they made it less slightly stiff / more comfortable.
Owned both the Aero and Shift and and tried the Gravity Pro for a couple hours. Sold both the Aero and Shift after a couple of weeks use. Lack of control. The Gravity felt a bit to heavy for my one hander bh. The Vcore 98 2023 is my winner. Best mix of everything except the serve, where it is outstanding. A switch from Blade.
Just switched to gravity pro from an ezone 100 since I wanted my game to be less defensive and more aggressive. Love at 1st hit. It feels amazing and confidence inspiring to hit harder. Volleys are rock solid on it too and that was the worst thing on the ezone.
Awesome review Tan, I keep coming back for your reviews and opinions as you are able to articulate a racquets characteristics far better than most. I also finally got a hold of a Gravity Pro Auxetic - after one of your reviews and I too love the frame. Unsurprisingly everything you mentioned in the review I agree with and I find it communicates so well to the player, whether I'm late on a shot, am not coming underneath a ball on my forehand enough etc. It incentivizes me to improve my game even though it's a racquet not specifically designed for my level. It also suits my game more as I first picked up a racquet in the 90's and we hit pretty flat back then lol. Keep up the good work mate and can't wait to see what releases in 2024 :D
Fantastic overview of all the latest releases. I fully agree with you on almost everything. I finally chose the percept 100d as my new racquet and I am fully satisfied with it with its control characteristics combined with the power of a 100inches...it shoots really heavy balls! only downside: I actually wish it was a tad more maneuverable (the standard 100 would be but with too many disclaimers). Well done and thank you
Excellent reviews. I have the solinco whiteout 18x20 and it's great. Strung with MSV focus hex 1.27 mains and Prince Warrior Response 16g crosses at 55 pounds. Controlled power. good spin and great, actually awesome feel. Surgical in fact. Also at 305g it's very stable on volleys and very maneuverable.
I think if you can handle 315 then there’s no point in using a whiteout 18x20 because iso 315 is good at almost everything. It’s just too heavy for me in a long game.
Hello and congratulations again. If you had to choose a racket between the Solinco WO and the Precept 100D, which would you choose? And for an intermediate player which one would be better? Thank you
I disagree that the 100 is better than 98 for Pure Aero. It is more stable and better control with 98 version. I agree with the fact that Pure Aero with Hyper G or Restring Zero are perfect combo
I always use the RPM Blast on my Pure Aero, but you didnt like it? What strings do you recommend, so I can test it out? With this racket I have problems with the 2H backhand because I cant get the ball launched properly over the net, the forehands are divine.
I like RPM Blast on the first 3 days or so. After the coating is gone the string goes dead and I hated it. I strongly recommend you to try ReString Zero at around 48 lbs on Pure Aero. Far better spin than RPM.
I have a gravity pro 360+ that is under spec. So spec wise it's close to a gravity tour, but the beam is 20mm. And with spec i mean swing weight below 330 and a lower balance, because that is what makes a racket feel light or heavy. Static weight is the most stupid spec to focus on.
@@jabirout not selling it. My particular one actually has a very special story with head headquarters in Austria involved. So this one will never be sold. It's one of my most dependable rackets that i have. I also have an under spec pro staff 97RF with a swing weight of just below 330.
I used to play Junior like 20 years ago and then stopped for so long and just came back to tennis for 3-4 years. Now playing around 2-5 hours a week depending on work.
Hey Tan. I recently switched from the DR98 (310g) to the Auxetic Extreme Tour. I wanted something whippier, but after a few months I think this racquet is a bit too demanding for me (I'm about a 3.25 - 3.5 player). I don't have the best footwork. Any recommendations?
The first thing I would do is to change string to something easier like a hybrid or soft poly to open up the sweetspot. If that still doesn't work for you then probably change racket.
@@tantennis thats my problem with the Gravity pro. It is the racket I like the most, but I cant play many games with it. So I´m back to my Blade V7 18 x 20. Bought the Gravity but never could make the switch. Now I keep looking to a racket to trasition from my Blade...
Which has more power, aero 100 or 98? 100 seemed to thick of a head and I could generate more racket speed with 98 that gave more power...on slow swings the 100 had more power...but who plays to swing slow

@@mteca5093 yea I did. It’s totally a solid frame. Why 100L not 100 when you considering Aero 100 and 98. Those are different weight class and not comparable.
@tantennis 100L is higher RA AND platform racket...I'm looking for higher RA 98 99 OR 100 THAT I can add some weight where I want.305 gram max...also want 16x19 or 16x20 that can hit flat down the line....after MANY years of testing and finally knowing what works for me and wanting to settle on one racket
GRAVITY pro needs hyperg soft 1.20mm mains 45pounds and smooth slick 1.20mm poly cross at 42pounds ..I use msv bussard , head lynx, or any slippery cheap poly as cross
Gravity Pro is just too hard to use in a match situation, and even worse if you end up with one that isn't to spec. Better to get the Tour and add some lead etc.
The spec on Wilson Shift 99 is wrong. I forgot to change that from the Pure Aero. Lol
Yep 😅

Great review. But the Angell React 99 PRO is by far the best racket in 2023. You realy shoud try it.
It’s not available in my country
When you will be able to release and show some comments about the 2024 strike? Thanks
Let me check. I will put it up as soon as I get a greenlight.

PA98 is not more stable than PA100
@@nakmuay5034 the specs of both racket don't lie. Why do you think the pros are moving towards smaller headsize, thinner beam and heavier racket.
Hope you could make a top string list also ☺️
Hi Tan, what racket are you using and with what strings setup? thanks lot
Now use 100D with Zero/WasabiX
Blade pro stock 18/19 with tour bite soft
