I was treated like that too but most people understood why i was in that predicament and the girls respected me for being open and respectful since we didnt have a trans bathroom when i was younger. Back then in high school and college, I always went to the female bathroom even though I was gay (I look really androgynous most people always assume I'm a girl/woman) but never was I treated like that. Most girls in the campus know who I am and they didn't have any problem with it because they knew I'm feminine at heart. Even my female cousins and sister just casually undressed at home in their bras and I was just like "ew, get away" and they teased me for having smol bewbs. What's even funnier is that my male seniors and juniors even joked that I shouldn't be using the male's restroom. They felt awkward when I used the male restroom.
