    Thanks for the beach fishing advise. While on vacation a couple weeks ago in Orange Beach, I got my first surf catch using a spoon (it was bluefish and got a couple that morning). And on the pier got some spade fish using what you’ve shown in the videos. It was awesome. Thanks for the help!!

    As a former resident of Dauphin Island, I enjoy seeing areas where I used to fish.
    Nothing beats a fresh homemade po’boy, but a close second was a place a mile or so from Keesler AFB. I went there a lot when stationed there in the 70’s. The sandwich was whatever they had and changed from day to day. Could be fish, shrimp, sausage, oysters, chicken,….or any combination. I’ve never had anything as good except what I make myself. Yours looked pretty good.

    On your sonar, how can you tell the difference between a massive school clumped up on the bottom, or just a reef?

  • @anibaldiaz3790

    I have a question, you used two Avid rods and one of them had k series guides. I wrote to St. Croix asking which rod has those guides in Avid but they say that the Avid inshore only comes with Kigan Master guides. Did those guides come with the rod or did you customize it?

      Awesome! There's plenty of under utilized saltwater species out there just because of "hearsay" ! I like to try them all unless I hear from an ultra reliable source it's garbage haha

    Hey, when you use top water, do you use a certain knot to tie the leader to the main line or a barrel swivel?
    thanks

    • @BamaSaltwater
      @BamaSaltwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tie a Rapala Loop knot to the lure, and my line to leader connection is a double uni or sometimes an improved Albright. The double uni has never failed me and it's quick plus I can tie it in the dark

    If we really want to conserve the fisheries we have to go after the commercial fisherman and people have to have the attitude and do this on their own because we don't have enough police roaming the waters

  • @robhaynes7630

    I know it doesn’t make since but it’s pronounced Roma lod sauce.

  • @lastranger1330
    @lastranger1330 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another issue we have is it's hard to keep the fish alive and if the fish is going to die anyway why not keep it it's all quite stupid people have to conserve the fisheries on their own you shouldn't have to tell people that

  • @aaronorr1450
    @aaronorr1450 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why would you let that redfish go back? If your allowed one over then why not keep it. Studies have shown that big reds like the ones you just caught are not good breeders

  • @lastranger1330
    @lastranger1330 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You're so concerned about keepers the main problem is the commercial fisherman that's the ones that they have to watch and how could they catch people we don't have that many conservation officers on the water
