    Great Video again, love your solution for the arm rotation. Problem solving is one of my favorite things when it comes to Lego and seeing someone else do it is just as satisfying.

      Thank you Luca, yes I'm very happy with the final solution I landed on for the shoulder joint. And I'm chatting with Alberto over email at the moment to see if I can help him with a mod for some of his existing figures. It'll be up to him of course as they are his designs.

    I found these very recently as I was searching for a LEGO Iron man and found Albo's page on Rebrickable. And surprisingly these mega figures popped up and I am really amazed by this. I do not have that much "flat space" in my flat to put regular ships on display so something that stands tall is fantastic and the fact that it is big and has around 2k pieces + is immediatelly recognized as LEGO because it is essentially a "minifigure" is great as a display piece in my mind. So thank you for making this video, especially the arm joint.

      Thanks for posting a heartfelt and superb comment, it put a smile on my face! I've enjoyed building Alberto's Mando & Boba megafigures and I'll consider building more in the future. As you already commented they make for a superb display pieces. All the best with your Iron Man build, that model looks excellent and I'm sure will look very good in your flat!

    I have just finished one of Albo’s designs! As much as I’m a OG trilogy fan and generally dislike and despise the post Disney stuff, I decided to build the Book of Boba Fett version of the Mega Figure design! I really loved the look of Boba Fett in the show despite everything, and it looks better than the OG Boba design in this mega figure form IMHO!

    what a majestic mega-figure!
    the usage of a 24 tooth gear is very clever!

      Thanks Edward! ...Alberto's just finished testing the new joint with his latest Commander Cody figure and I think will be releasing a 'universal update' for anyone who wants to upgrade the shoulder/arm joints of their figures if they want to. I'm happy that my 'tinkering' with ideas to fix the joint came up with a strong a good result!

      Hi Natthan, thanks for commenting. Alberto certainly has done beautiful megafigure bodies for the Cody & Rex helmets. I personally won't be building them as I have way too many other projects to focus on. But these could be good options for you! Link here: rebrickable.com/users/Albo.Lego/mocs/

    didnt know that grogu was small enough to fit in mando's hands, but thats a great build, I'd definitely make it if bricklink was available here (and if I had the money ofc)

    Is there a guide and parts list for the arm design fixes

    • @CraftedBricks
      @CraftedBricks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Klaus, not yet, but there will be. I've been speaking to Alberto and he's going to use my file to come up with a 'universal mod' that anyone who's built his megafigures can apply to their models if they want to. Stay tuned.

    Hi Simon, thank you for this video! I am not sure if you can use a 3L axle with stud (instead of the 4L axle) to then affix the back of the 2 x 4 plate (with the slope pieces) to the axle's stud. I built this version using LDD (now all I need is to get the parts), and I would be happy to share the LXF file with you if you are interested.

    • @CraftedBricks
      @CraftedBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jerome, I can understand what you are getting at - it's for attaching the 2x4 plate to the inside of the hand. The stud idea is one I've tried, although yes it connects to the one of the anti-studs on the underside of the plate - not in a position where the plate is exactly flush with the top of the hand. Nice attempt though and you can get it close-ish. I'd recommend trying it out and set how you go. Note Alberto has changed the build design of the hands for his most recent megafigures and it is uses a different orientation for the hand build elements that does allow for the inner plate with the slopes to be fitted. Checkout his C3-PO build for what I mean. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Simon

      @jeromemorrow1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CraftedBricks Thank you, Simon, for your response. You are correct that the plate is not exactly flush with the top of the hand, but on my computer screen, the offset looks almost undetectable. Still, per your suggestion, I checked out the C-3PO build and I see that the same plate fits exactly flush with the top of the hand. My fear, though, is that the C-3PO build likely uses one part (3709b) that is not available in dark red (i.e., the color of the mega figure that I am building). I may be able to get around it, though, by using a combination of other parts. Thanks again!

    Excellent build’s, do know if anyone has done a mega Batman

    • @CraftedBricks
      @CraftedBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shawn, I'd like to do Alberto's vintage era Batman megafigure at some point, but realistically I have way too many build projects to get to that this year. I do have Glenn Tanner's Batman Bust in my line-up though and I've got all of the parts. So I hope to do that project later on this year. rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-93938/glenn_tanner55/lego-bat-man-bust-moc-chest/#details ...but to answer your question sorry I'm not aware of any other TH-camrs or people who have built Alberto's mega Batman.

      @@CraftedBricks thanks for sending me that video! I was looking through a couple of stores to buy the pieces but they’re all over priced for no reason. Do you have any Advice to save some money?

      Completely agree!!!

    • @CraftedBricks
      @CraftedBricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi ND_Minecraft - BrickLinking parts for a build can be an expensive exercise! Key tips would be: Try to get as many parts as possible from a 1-3 sellers for your project to save on shipping. Always order parts from domestic sellers. Avoid 2nd hand parts (they are always always crap/poor quality and not worth the savings). Hunt through your existing sets/builds that you no longer want or like for parts / or find cheap sets on Gumtree to build up a collection of spare parts to use for projects. I hope this helps!

      Have a look at the Inventory tab on the Moc page on Rebrickable. That's the best way for me to answer, as it should display a parts estimate in your currency. rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-102953/Albo.Lego/the-mandalorian-mega-figure-fits-official-lego-helmet/#parts
