I’m 48 and I started wearing crochet braids back in the 90s.. I’ve NEVER stopped wearing them! I’ve gotten ‘regular’ braids over the years but hated that I had to keep them in for so long and they take too long to take down. I don’t know who was the first to do it but thanks to whoever started the trend of using the ‘rubber band method!’ That’s a game changer. I found this channel after seeing a video of sis only using rubber bands on the perimeter! THAT was all I needed to see! That saves even more time and I like her styles!! Lol.. ☺️
Thanks for the video, I struggled a lot learning to do my own hair, but I watched your videos and learned how to crochet. Thank you for showing me how amazing doing your own hair can be.
For anyone in my awkward situation 1:10 this right here is gold. I could never figure out why my illusion boxes always looked so wrong. This explains it. I might give crochet another try
So I went ahead and ordered them! I’m 5’6 and the CT 22” is a great waist length on me. I got the 96 locs and I’m glad I did because I used most of them
I absolutely love watching these videos. I just did did something very similar with the synthetic box braids using your Fondation/ technique in the back and crochet individuals in the front. Your videos are very helpful. I plan to do faux locs next however with my hair texture (very fine) the individual crochet method looks better for spacing on me.
This is perfect for vacation in general. If you aren’t the kind of person that submerges your hair under the pool or ocean water the style will look fresh even longer. I don’t do it even with individual braids simply because I love the fresh braid look and I want to stay away from all the minerals and “stuff” in the water that can cause dryness and break off my sensitive hair . If you dont mind going under, be sure to create smaller cornrows if needed. You’ll be able to wash your hair the same as regular braids as long as you’ve secured your hair appropriately. Hope this helps 🤍
So I have watched your videos and been practicing with synthetic locs. I actually just brought 3packs of YWigs locs but I can’t seem to perfect it like you do. 😢I’m going on vacation next month and you make it seem easy but I must be slow lol
Hi! I am super happy that I found your channel. I just wanted to let you know that I can do this. Thanks. I did the BIG CHOP in November so I am in the "Mini Afro Stage". I was thinking of having them done however I just could not justify the cost.
You shouldn’t need to use a ton of hair to achieve the style. To open the hole you need to pull back the hair to widen the hole. I loved this style so much! I ended up having left over hair. I don’t mine the density also.
@@ForeverCryssyI agree, I have been dealing with crochets for years and some are tighter on the loop end than others, just pull down on the loop and loosen it before you put it in your hair. That should be better.
I got this hair too, and I've done many a crochet loc, and some of these are like you said... much much smaller than others and machine wound very tight and tiny, to the point where the hole could not be widened. Two of my bundles are good but one of the bundles the locs are tiny and very stiff. I reached out to the company to give feedback, so far they just offered a return but I'm on a time crunch
Love love, love thanks so much for sharing. Going to try this very soon. God bless you. Your skills are awesome to God be the glory for your skills. Amen.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Love your crochet videos!! Have you tried washing these? The site says they’re unsuitable for washing which kind of defeats the purpose. Curious about your experience
I agree! I would only invest in these if you know you’ll reuse them. If the price point is too high for you, I would use hair from the beauty supply that may be a blend of human or synthetic. 🤍🤍
Hey hun! The loc wrapped pieces aren’t human hair but the strands left out are human hair. The locs seemed to hold up well. I just took them out after 3 weeks.
Thanks beautiful! I agree, we should be saving money. I’m aware that most braiding hair is not reuseable which makes investing in human hair worth it. You’ll never pay for a stylist and you’ll get multiple wears out of the style 🥰
My advice I use a net for most of my head and leave a small amount out around your perimeter or you can tailor it to suit you. The net helps with fullness and staying in place and the take down even easier you can cut the net and majority of the style is out in 2 seconds 😂😅
ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVS! I'll be sharing a ton of different crochet options for you to choose from this spring/summer. Enjoy Family! Love y'all 😀

I tried your method bc I struggled! And girl I did it! This is gonna be my summer style

Of course! Thank you 🤍🤍 there’s so much freedom in doing it yourself sometimes. Maybe we can get Braiders on board to add this to their services also.
It’s the bun for me 😍
Just gorgeous sis! 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you! 🤗

That quick lil intro is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣. Love your videos
Thank you thank you for this video. I love the hair and will definitely try it. I ordered the hair. ❤
What length are you wearing? And did you use all 72?
Waiting on a reply for this question 😊

She is beautiful ❤ a makeup tutorial is definitely a must ☺️

Thanks so much my love! I’m happy that I’ve been able to inspire you to try a new style. I love the locs so much more than the braided boho hair tbh.
What a gorgeous and talented woman!❤
Beautiful ❤ Do you have a video showing how you do your base with the rubber bands?
Beautiful Sis👏🏽
Hello, looks really nice! How many packs did you use?
Excellent job ❤ this definitely will save my thin hair from being twisted too tight with individual locs
Girrrl 😮you have those Angela Basset arms 🥰goals😮💨💪🏽
U did excellently well. Travelling next month you and THIS IS WHAT I WANT❤
lol I love the intro screen
You said you would do a video
On how to wash and reuse their crotchet braided boho box braids, when will that be getting posted please
You mentioned vacation…would you recommend this for the beach? Obsessed but will it be ok in water?

How long did it take you to get your order? I ordered a week ago and my order hasn’t shipped yet 😢

Is there a difference it gives for the distilled water vs reg?
I bought this hair and it's HEAVY. The hole is SMALL I couldn't put my nail through. I ain't even bother I was SCARED of the weight!

Me too 😮

How many times can you reuse the hair?
Is it heavy?
How many packs?
how many packs did you end up using?

Practice makes perfect 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you soo much
98.00 for 24 locs is expensive

Love you ❤
Love you moreee
Yes that is expensive just to wear for a short period of time thanks
@@esthercribe1289 it’s reusable just like bundle and clip in hair 🥰

Are those faux locs human hair?

You're given Fatima from Sisters 🤭🙌🏾
Ofcouse I love the style and versatility. Definitely Beautiful. but the goal is to save money, not spend 300 or more on hair.

Just get you some cheap hair
