both the cord end has weak connections, what you are seeing is heat that has been created from the loose connections. Please Replace as soon as you get to your new location!! I would suggest that you get an electrician to check the "load" of your tiny home. The connection you have may be a bit too small in capacity for what you have. Safe Travels!!
when we have the electrician set up the RV hook up we will have them check out a few things in the tiny...like the plug and why the overhead lights stopped working about 2 years ago 🙄 It will be nice to get those things addressed!
I loved your pictures at the end of your memories there. I sure hope it all goes well for you. I think it will. I'm happy for you guys. I hope you love your new location. Cheers!
I was riveted and keeping everything crossed for you guys. The end of this video was so lovely and a really nice, emotionally healthy recap of your last seven years in your home. I wish you and Patrick tons of good energy, prayers, luck, and blessings for this new portion of your journey together. Pats to Red too! ❤❤❤
Thank you!! It is a very big step for us & such a long awaited moment that sooo much planning and preparation went into...and still so much planning & work to do 😊
Time has a way of warping everything doesn’t it? The day you moved in, the day you left. It seems surreal. Safe travels to the tiny house. Happy holidays!
Those plug-ins are notorious for that burning up just the weight of the cord will actually cause it to slightly be like a loose connection , these RV cords are really not meant for full-time use ,You need to change it to a marine plug-in.
That's a beautiful scene that you're leaving, with the autumn colours and sunlight. Are there normally anchoring points on the wall for tying down appliances and furniture? Or is it normal to have to remove large appliances and furniture?
we dont really know- the title says 11,500 lbs, but thats the title for the industrial flatbed trailer & it was never weighed after we finished the build...so its a mystery
If they were drawing too much power, the 50 amp breaker would trip , the RV cords are really not meant for full-time use. You’re better off, changing it to a marine plug it’s a better option than an RV plug, you would be better off having an electrician install an actual disconnect and hardwire everything in
Oh my soul… I would have found someone to haul it in one piece. God just look at what you paid for a uhaul? So what if you needed to fix something or buy a new appliance which is very unlikely. Whats the difference really, transport using uhaul where appliances are not bolted down or just leave them in place “bolted down” in the tiny home. Anyway… just hoping you guys are living not worrying about all the other crap too much.
we dont mind a bit of extra work to ensure that everything arrives safely...and we do tend to be overly cautious about things 😂😂 There was no way to bolt them down in the tiny house without doing damage to the new floors and or walls...but we may live to regret that when we do the final move 🙈 we will see!
Glad to see y'all are finally making the big move down here in "Not-Always-Warm & Sunny" Florida! 😎👍
we are getting there one little step at a time! ...at least theres no snow 😃

Thanks!! Lots of good memories there (and also some challenges!) but its on to the next chapter in Florida 😎
Such an emotional video, so many memories, and many more adventures to come. I hope Stella arrived safely!
Lots of memories at good old Swan Lake 😍 ...now onto our Florida Adventure!
Following Closely!
Its gonna be interesting!!
I'm Really Happy For The Three Of You! Give Redford A Hug For Me!!
Thanks!! He is looking forward to that Florida Sunshine

Congratulations on your successful move. I'm happy for you both.
Thanks!! This is just the first half...moving the tiny house, it will still be a while before we can follow

It was very strange thinking about all the experiences, changes and memories from those 7 years! Its been interesting for sure 😊 Happy Holidays!!
One of those hand trucks from Costco makes moving large and heavy items much easier. Much better than the one you rent from U-Haul.
that sounds like a good investment for moving day!

we need to upgrade for sure- that plug did not look good 🙈
I was surprised to see it being towed away with a truck. I thought it would be a semi truck.
thats the neat thing about a tiny house- it can be pulled by a heavy duty truck
Hope yall got there in one piece. Will be sitting on the edge of my recliner to see how it went.
🤞hopefully i-95 is kind to her!
Replace your 30 amp plug with a RV smart plug. They make a better contact less chance of electrical arcing.
that sounds like a safer option! 👍
I think I am having a panick attack on behalf of u guys ! Good luck...it will all go good no doubt.
It was a stressful few days! but it had to be done for the next chapter to begin 😊

Looking at the frame of that, and knowing Florida, you should clean it well, let dry, and periodically spray fluid film on it.
How much does the TH weigh?

How much does the tiny house weigh?
we dont really know- never had it weighed, but the title says 11,500
I believe that.
drawing to much power on that plug that is only 50 amps not like a house of 200 amp service.

a marine plug! that sounds like a better option- I will look at that & we can have the electrician do it the right way 👍
thats another reason we may move some of the appliances out of the Tiny House- more space and less strain on the electrical system

Can we just say house, lose the tiny, please? It's your home.
It is a Home with lots of memories...and its a strange thing watching our home start rolling down the road 🙈
Yay!
There she goes!! 😎
