Ashley: Men struggle with incorporating colors in winter wardrobe
Also Ashley: Wear this dark grey crewneck with dark jeans and dark brown boots. And also look at this all black look by David Beckham.
I've noticed that many jackets look great on a model when they're unbuttoned/unzipped in front, showing off the layers beneath. Many of these jackets don't look so good when they're done-up, especially if you're wearing a shirt or sweater that's longer than the jacket. This is often the case if you live in a country with a REAL winter, where you need to fully bundled-up to protect yourself from the cold. I'd love to hear your suggestions for styles that include coats that are NOT open in the front.
for those occasions, Parka or an overcoat is the way... most of these jackets mentioned in Ashley videos are for moderate cold weathers ... in a few other videos she does mention that, i.e. what to do in heavy winter areas, but not often enough... but having said that, the jackets when buttoned should still look good, or perhaps you are buying too tight jackets
Gotta disagree with Ashely on one point here: A collard shirt under a crewneck gives you a finished and classic look...every time.

Not really kinda of comes off very school boy/professor. A V neck sweater/ collard shirt combo elevates the style and just looks better.
While a v neck does look better with a tie I wear crew necks and collard shirts almost everyday. Clean as heck

I understand why people think otherwise, but I think crewnecks with collared shirts can work. I also think that loafers with socks can work with winter outfits; it’s a cool look for dinner parties in my opinion.
Loafers with socks in cooler weather is very acceptable. I think she’s just sharing her personal preference but idk 😅
I wish she’d shine light on getting organic clothes or 100% cotton, wool, linen etc and also some great Japanese brands or great Italian, Korean brands. I still enjoy her content.
Straight fit jeans, or chinos are fine for a smaller built guy, if they’re tapered. Some of us prefer a little room in our pants.
The camel over coat with the gray monochromatic look certainly got my attention!

Great video as always, but I wish you'd do more using Real Men's Body models. The models in the video are in a very rare percentage of body types and could wear bin liners and still look great. It makes it very hard to judge how some of these combos might look in the real world. You mention it in regard to the bulky sweater, but please show us stuff that the "Body Positive Movement" are championing. It is good enough for Rihanna!! Let's see you talking about the stuff worn by Zach Miko, Kelvin Davis, etc.

Hey Ashley! I'm getting married next September 2024. Can you start doing videos for grooms? It'd be great if you could talk men's wedding styles. I have an idea of a navy suit, teal tie, white shirt. But I think a lot of other guys out there will need some ideas for being a groom and also just going to a wedding as a guest. I love your videos. Been watching 3 years!

As a weightlifter I have to always go with an athletic or relaxed fit pant, legs don’t fit in straight leg pants.

Great info as always. Would appreciate if you could qualify your style recommendations for the ‘mature’ (older) guy demographic following you. Not trying to look young but at the same time some of us are in really good (one might say) youthful physical shape. This circumstance poses a real conundrum on how to be subtly stylish, show physicality but not trying to look young?! Help😮
I mean Daniel Craig is 55 at this point. Not sure how old that photo is but basically Casino Royale was like Daniel Craig at 38 and the last movie was him over 50 so. The key is obviously keeping in good shape and I don't think any of Ashley's recommendations come across as for youngsters. David Beckham must also be like 50 at this point. My point is that they looked great and they are by no means spring chickens, neither trying to look particularly young.

....just take away the general idea behind every combination/advice that she is giving and look for that in your price range ....what she is suggesting in her links are from her sponsors ...the same color/patterns combos,you can find everywhere... but, don't forget - fit is king

Well, 'winter' in this video clearly isn't what I'd call winter :). It's minus 15 degrees Celsius here! So, I guess Mens Fashioner is more tailored towards people living in tropical areas
I'm loving all these coats, but if I aint got no padding in my coats in the winter I'll literally die, tough choice. Most of these items would be great for fall, but in the winter it's way too cold for this stuff. Even the ''below zero'' outfit ain't gna fly, walking around with open jackets in sub zero degreees, bruh, imma die.
Not if you layer properly and make use of scarves.

No.
Joggers can only be worn before warming up to engage in athletics. Joggers are not pants. Men (adult males) wear pants for causal and formal social occasions and professional occasions.
The only other time one can wear joggers is at home when retired for the day and not expecting company.
Chelsea boots, aka Austin Powers / The Beatles boots belong in the past, in the 1960s. Such boots are a terrible fashion choice.

Doubt 007 was wearing two puffer jackets. More likely he wore a puffer jacket with a puffer vest underneath. Anyway he looks horrible in his outfit...shoes are not for that weather either... I would jump out like that had I experiences a hangover in the morning and needed some remedy urgently.

A man NEVER wears runners unless he is running and dressed in athletic garb. A man never wears joggers unless he is well, jogging. A man never wears all-white court sneakers unless he is on the court. A man never wears sneakers in winter as one's walking shoes, absolutely never.
A man always lives by the golden rule of fashion: *Fashion follows function.*
What does that mean? You dress in suits for business, tuxedos for formal events, athletic gear for athletics, laborer's clothes for laboring, and so on.
A status man lives by the only other rule of fashion: *Dress one degree better than for what the situation calls.*
Ashley dresses her viewers like a mom dresses her 'tweener son.
Daniel Craig looks like the dorky kids in the flagpole licking scene from a Christmas Story.
Speaking of a Christmas Story, Ralphie at the Christmas scene is better dressed than what Ashley presents. With his sweater vest, his tie, his grey sport coat and grey wool pants, his black, collared overcoat and black winter boots.
Keep in mind always. Never dress to look metro.

You play everything SO safe that the takeaway is that you think all men should dress more or less the same. I think it’s just rude and amateurish that the only advice you ever have for “bigger”(than what?) men is to hide under a coat. Why don’t you just use average sized models to begin with?
Finally, you rarely get close up to show detail or texture, nor do you give any price advice.
I respect how popular your channel is, but as a fashionable man myself, I think you could do a lot better.
Much as larger guys shouldn't wear sweaters as the outer layer, shorter guys shouldn't wear turtlenecks or overcoats. You need to be tall to look good in them.

These outfits are for man not for kids.
I do not understand the wearing a brown shoe with black outfit. I do not get that. It drives me nuts. I will see a guy in a like a blue suit wearing brown shoes and boots or shoes. Yet to be honest that is just me it seems to me I just think the black is better and does not stand out. Yet again me. Yet who am I to say.
I also dislike the black pants with brown shoes but Brown and blue go together.
Ashley missed again. Sport jack in the middle of winter? NO.. Turtlenecks and button down cartigan sweaters? NO. We will not wear 90% of these outfits.
