- This is a synth based on most modern Federal Signal UV (Ultravoice) Electric Siren Controllers, with quick one second windups and no hiccups. Simulated distance is about 75 Feet at an area with many buildings for reverb (such as at a college campus). Other simulated MODs in this video are approximately at 1/3 of a mile distance. Both drawings of the MOD 6024 and DSA are by me. I plan on doing a Whelen, all tones synth very soon.
Signals - These are the standard 7 signals, Whoop is not included in this synth.

Ah the Ominous sirens they have at McConnell AFB in Wichita that scared the living crap out of me when I was a kid since they did a talking voice with them.
Strange sound at 8:05. Chicago warning systems sounds this sometimes!
the dual tone makes it sound like an EOWS 612
I'm stationed in Fort Hood, Texas and we have Modulators here which go off at 6:20, 6:25, and 6:30am for Reveille, 7:30 to signal the end of PT (physical training) Noon to signal lunchtime, 12:55 for the end of lunch, then 4:55 and 5pm for retreat of the colors and Taps at 10pm. On Fridays retreat is played at 2:55 and 3pm. They don't go off on weekends
The chime can be used to audibly test the siren without disturbing the peace.
The pulse steady sounds like the lightning detection systems around my house doing all clear tone.

my favorite standards tone is steady tone 2:02 alternate steady tone 3:20 and pulsed steady tone as well 4:41. incase of well actual severe thunderstorms or tornado warning. or siren testing.
there is wail tones alternate wail pulsed wails as well its also known as attack tone.

i came here from benjamin tuckett's "when day breaks." this siren is SUPER-HELLA'MAZING 'cause it's scary
First one: ambulance siren
Second one: annoying siren
Third one: ice cream truck
Fourth one: emergency alert system
Fifth one: Chicago’s emergency alert system
Sixth one: my first grade school bell
Seventh one: distorted ice cream truck
I have to say that pulsed wail (6:13) is down right CREEPY 0_o

I've never seen a yellow modulator the only colored modulator i know of is the one in Hawaii, though i never been to Hawaii

I hear 4 sirens. 3 are on Dual Tone, but 1 is on Pulse.
The only coloured Modulater is in Hawaii and it's colour is Green because (COLD WAR ERA)
Henry Lu modulators were made in 1996 5 years after the Cold War there must be another reason

Since the "whoop" tone isn't in this synth, I'm probably going to assume that the Modulator isn't really capable of doing "whoop". Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong.
The modulator can do whoop. Hawaii has a lot of sirens that can do this. But if I remember right, it has to be programmed in.

In the case of tornadoes, why would they use the pulse signals?
I don't think there's much of an advantage of using the pulse signal for tornadoes. I feel like the pulse signal would be better suited for a HAZMAT incident.
I've seen these on the island of Oahu in Honolulu.
The federal signal Modulator was discontinued, parts are still made. It was replaced by the Modulator II. Models are: MOD1004B MOD2008B MOD3012B MOD4016B MOD5020B MOD6024B MOD8032B. The MOD6032 and MOD6048 have been replaced by the MOD8032B which is shorter, lighter and more compact.

How do you get the drawings that you make onto the computer if you didn't make them on the computer? Or did you make it on a computer software?
I just scanned them onto my computer with a printer/scanner combo.
