Notes from lecture: subhanallah
Characteristic of ideal Muslim wife:
Religiously committed and obeying Allah and His messenger. Not suited for kitabi women, no control over household and children for tarbiyah. Permissibile but not recommended to do, especially for kitabi women in the west, who most likely have lost their chastity.
How to enter paradise from all of the 8 doors:
1. Prays her 5,
2. fasts in Ramadan,
3. guards her honor and chastity in his absence:
Guarded from the past, past contacts, not revealing herself
Allah swt says: and do not spy on one another. Not permissible to search and look at your husband's info
4. Serving her husband: story of Asmaa, she guarded herself even understanding her husband's like, dislikes, and comforts and serving his needs. Taking care of husband's feelings
5. Keeping husband's secrets- especially what is private
6. Appear before him pleasing to his eye
7. Doesn't remove or reveal her clothing outside the home ( besides proper hijab)
8. Not fasts or brings someone to his house without his permission. ( not even to buy a gift and use money without his permission) what she spends in charity without his order, then half of the reward is for him
9. Not ask for divorce without a reason necessitating it
10. Avoiding cursing and being ungrateful or harsh in speech

When I went to enroll at the university; my husband was there from 2000 miles away on business. I had never met any Arabs or Muslims before. He’s giving up trips to Dubai for “fun” and I have set his watch alarm to the prayer times for him. I was a virgin when I married him but he was a very kind and patient man. People of the book are not all evil.

Allah forgive the circumstances my family is dealing with
The single persons are in haram relationships all better parents won’t approve of their Choice of spouse
And parents will Never allow or support the childrens marriage
They’ve decided to be in a happy relationship as long as the parents don’t find out
Otherwise it’s depressing marriage forced marriage or divorce marriages
Narcissistic psychopath manipulative parents are the worst

Voor de eerste keer na het veel beluisteren van lezingen van Al Furqaan Islamic centre, ben ik toch wat teleurgesteld in de meningen die de spreker uit over het gedrag van bepaalde vrouwen en ook over de vrouwen van al Kitaab. Soms zijn de vrouwen van al Kitaab die de moslimman terug dieper in zijn geloof zal laten zoeken. En Allaah weet best. Ook als zij een echte gelovige is, en de Koran, het grootste wonder en leidraad voor de mensheid, zal lezen, kan zij niet anders dan moslima worden….
We mogen niet alles zwart op wit nemen, niet veralgemeniseren. De man blijft de leider in een gezin. Als die leider goed zijn best doet en leeft volgens de sunna, zal een vrome vrouwe zich goed voelen en ook haar man willen behagen zoals het van haar verwacht wordt….als Allaah het wil en Allaah weet het best.

Wat de spreker zegt klopt gewoon. De man zal 40 uur per week op zijn werk zijn excl reistijd. Dat betekent dat de kinderen worden opgevoed door een niet -moslima. In een samenleving als nu is dat gewoon niet realistisch en verstandig. In theorie wat je zegt klinkt wel leuk en aardig, maar in de praktijk is dat helaas niet terug te zien.
Het is daarom de bedoeling om een sterke (mentaal &geloof) praktiserende zuster te trouwen die hem en zijn kinderen kan versterken

Jawel het klopt wat hij zegt. Zeker als de man buitenshuis gaat werken. AlhamdouliLlaah als dat het geval is.
Maar men mag niet alle “vrouwen van het boek” in het algemeen “minderwaardig” afschermen. Eerlijk. Ik was een vrouw van het boek, maar werd al redelijk snel moslima na het lezen van de ahadieth en Qoran. AlhamdouliLlaah.
In het begin van mijn huwelijk kende ik nog niet veel en werden er mij dingen opgelegd “zogezegd” islamitisch zijnde…. Door buitenshuis te moeten gaan werken en alle huishouden zelf te moeten doen, had ik weinig tijd om me bij te scholen in de ware Islaam.
AlhamdouliLlaah toen mijn kinderen wat groter werden en hielpen in het huishouden, kreeg ik tijd om mij te verdiepen in de Islaam. En gelukkig had ik nog mijn “eigen waarden” om mijn kinderen fatsoenlijk op te voeden.
AlhamdouliLlaah met het nodige geduld kon ik samen met mijn kinderen ook mijn echtgenoot (en zijn familie) terug meer op het rechte pad krijgen en culturele waarden achterwege laten. En het zijn mijn grote kinderen die me ook nog dagelijks informeren over de Islaam. Want zij moesten van mij zich bijscholen, Arabisch leren,…. AlhamdouliLlaah.
Bij deze wil ik ook melden dat er helaas geboren moslim(a)s zijn die niet meer kennen dan Ramadaan en EID l ADHA. Dat heeft ook geen goede basis voor opvoeding voor kinderen. Toch?
AlhamdouliLlaah. Moge Allaah ons allen standvastig houden op onze religie en ons laten sterven op de enige juiste religie: al Islaam. Ameen
