La mia es de Zacatecas(papa) y de Nayarit(mom).. honestamente aunque amo Nayarit.. no saben hacer tamales buenos como en Zacatecas. Mi familia de Nayarit los hacen con papa y zanahoria dentro y siempre se me hacian raros. Por lado de mi papá los hacen con pipian rojo y con pollo y salsa verde.

I wish you would of mentioned to soak the corn husk in the beginning. I got in the mids of recipe and then realized you soaked them for hours 🙄 would of been nice to know ahead of time.
The only tamales we can get here are mostly masa. I wish people would charge more and really add something besides masa. Why bother making them is my opinion if you're too cheap to add anything inside. Anyway, you add a lot of chicken, etc., in yours. As they should be. Not just a mouth full of masa

Do you have to watch the water in your vaporera? do you add water often?
Your husks looked so nice. I purchased husks that were questionable. I threw half out. Too firm even after in water all night. I need a good husk ty

You can, but I suggest not to. It can cause the tomatillos to get sour.
It will help if you put them in a bath of ice and water for them to cool down fast and stop the cooking process
