We see new iterations with GNSS with each passing year, and with the SparkFun mosaic-X5 Triband GNSS RTK Breakout, you'll be provided with the easiest way to start using L1, L2, and L5 bands simultaneously! At the heart of the Triband GNSS RTK Breakout is Septentrio's most compact high-precision GNSS receiver, the mosaic-X5. The mosaic-X5 module is an ultra-low power, multi-band, multi-constellation GNSS receiver capable of delivering centimeter-level precision at high update rates. The receiver supports the GPS (USA), GLONASS (Russia), Beidou (China), Galileo (Europe), and NavIC (India) constellations, including regional systems (i.e. SBAS and QZSS). It also features Septentrio's unique AIM+ technology for interference mitigation and anti-spoofing, ensuring best-in-class reliability and scalable position accuracy. - บันเทิง
This is amazing, never new about all these different positioning technologies.
With these prices Spark just took the fun out Spark.
Going off of my experience with the previous RTK module:
6mm precision... if you're standing perfectly still.
But cm-scale at high update rate is quite the leap over the previous gen which was accurate to about a meter when the receiver was moving.
Hope there will be an RTK facet 2 using this ship and IMU
Cool tech, I wonder what usage case is this good for... Needing that much precision and that much range! Kinda overkill for my usage case (land surveyor rover)
This looks amazing. I jumped in to order one then I saw the price. It is probably great value for money but it's way too much money for something to just have a play with!
My world famous saying; "You don't have to justify the cost of a hobby. If you did, there would be no trout fishermen."
support gnss precess ionosphere?
I guess that I am out of date on Sparkfun's target market.
For me, I would prefer to see products that wouldn't require the level of purchase justification this one would.
In other words, it is certainly amazing what is available if you don't care about cost.
Yeah now compare with professional systems with the same GPS radio capabilities and then suddenly you realize how cheap these are.
Jesus Cristos! Is it made of unobtainium?
No 3D sensors.!
For a mere $700...yikes.
