For #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek we headed out onto the water, chatting everything from teamwork to food supplies and just what it takes to look after your mental health when rowing across the Atlantic.

Correct me if I’m wrong - but I didn’t hear him say “I” once. He focused on them and kept saying “we”. You Brits should be very protective of this guy - he shows the best of you.

The Royals shine the light on others, not on themselves. So whenever they perform their duties they will always ensure the cause is the highlight.

We have and always are very proud of him and his lovely family.
The RF are diplomatic public servants, that is their role and one the Queen pledged her life to. William made the same pledge to make his mother proud. Unlike others who complain no one asks them how they are doing.
For someone who endured the same tragedy as his brother, he has grown into a very balanced individual. He is so mature and endearing. I admire him and his family

There is no doubt in my mind that the Prince of Wales will be a wonderful king.
You just wonder when comparing what the monarchy does with what the politicians are doing for the people.
The way I see it monarchy is a respite from the self serving politicians. 🤔

I feel sorry for William as his brother is psychotic and drug addicted.
What a great team of ordinary people achieving extraordinary feats and raising funds for some awesome causes.
And they are not receiving any awards like others who do nothing but receiving awards for doing nothing other than talk about themselves and complain about everything.
This is what it’s all about. Well done William. I hope his mental health is OK people forget about him and his family how they must feel. ❤
William's feelings are forgotten in the incessant noise, whining and complaining of his brother. There were two youngsters walking behind that coffin in 1997. One has lived his life with grace, dignity and honour. The other one is called Harry.
I don't think anyone "forgets' ...It must be terribly difficult watching a loved family member self destruct. Everytime another antic happens, my heart hurts for PW.
Especially when their mental health is very top of mind for the family.

It’s sad however the younger one thought his path would be a better one. Who is trapped now. Poor silly Harry.

I liked how Prince William referred to mental fitness at the end of this video.
Both coincide with each other, can't be mentally fit if your body is falling apart and visa versa...can't be physically fit if you're not motivated mentally to get out there and work at it .

@nakaida Kahn I don't think any child ever stops getting compared to their parents(looks like, behaves like)...it IS who they are. Using parents' EXPERIRNCE or tragedies for excuse or comparison is another thing.
I love to see the Royals doing their thing and seeing all the awareness brought to the public. Prince William is so warm and engaging.
William is so at ease in these situations. Its good to see him doing what he does best. He is a brilliant asset to Gt Britain.

Agree 100%. Speaking as someone who also lost their mother at a young age: I hope he knows how very proud she would be of him. Both Prince and Princess are doing a beautiful job.
When you see Prince William in situations like this he is so relaxed and that smile lights up his face. The interaction was fab. Good look to the team. Sadly the support was not there for my late brother an RAF air sea rescue winch-man in air sea rescue, i am thrilled that today mental health support is so much better. Well done Prince William for doing your utmost to rid the stigma which enables help to be sort and given.

Mental strugles are so real, but often not visible to other people. Having a genuine support is also often a line between surviving and suicide.

This conversation was beneficial so people can understand the mindset of what it takes to complete this type of daunting task. This is not easy and competing on top of it adds a layer of difficulty that is not easily understood.
I am really proud of HRH Prince William for backing his wife and including her cause in his. Blessings to the entire Wales family and I hope the team did well in their competition. I hear you YRH Prince William.

Coming from the USA, and having struggled with various mental health issues, I find it amazing to see someone in his capacity showing all that _"it's ok not to be ok"_ Prince William is such a great role model for the world.
What I found so humbling was the approach - there was no need for fanfare over PW, the focus was all about the hard work and efforts of this amazing team. He seems so down-to-earth and genuinely interested in these charitable endeavors for the betterment of others.
What a lovely caring man Prince William is, how very proud his late Mother would be of him and what a great King he will be when it's his turn to be on the throne

I remember when William was born. It’s fulfilling to see him so responsible, so respectful, so intelligent and engaged. He’s so tall and has such a deep voice that he’s regal even dressed in shorts for a row.

I am sharing this video with my son to show him how there are communities of people who listen, understand and support each other holistically. My 23 year old son has bipolar illness and a severe anxiety disorder and finds it very difficult to connect with people because so few are willing to show him empathy and connect. Thank you for keeping this conversation going and, please, don't stop.

I would love a go in that rowing boat. I have done team sports for charity and they are the greatest fun. You are often closer than family because you are struggling with the same task. The hardest part is always the mental challenge. Good luck to the team ❤.
