great Ronnie man, you are a really calming influence, we love you, seen you and the Stones in the UK several times, great atmosphere , great gigs, you seem to be a good influence despite the 40 odd years, they need you xx
“He’s either doing something stupid and doesn’t know it, or he’s doing something very funny and he knows it. Both of them are funny.” We should aspire to have our closest friends talk about us like that.
Who would have thought that the STONES would be the last band from the '60s standing, given all the debauchery and abuse?? (yes, I know the Who are still playing, but it's only two of the original members) Just amazing. What a brilliant group of guys.
@Ronnie Wood Ronn, what a satisfaction. Amazing. Of course I would like to receive your information. It would be an honor. I watched the Stones in Porto Alegre, that night of heavy rain. And I watched it in Copacabana…I was in the middle of those 1500000 people. Dreams come true. I hope that STONES, the greatest band of all time, come back to Brazil. What a satisfaction.
I think it's very cool, that they today make zheir music think like 40 years ago. The old good times. I like the Rolling stones very much and the Beatles, and I'm 13. We have this theme actually in our music lessons and I'd like it.
Ok,how in the hell can I read a fucking list of the top 39 Rock bands in history and not have the Faces in at least the top 15 with the Faces making it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Mr Ronnie Wood propelled them to early Rock History stardom with Rod Stewart and the rest of the great musicians that made up the Faces! Ronnie, you are highly underestimated and I'm a huge Stones fan and love the Faces music that was absolutely timeless! You're a walking legend my friend! MAGGIE MAE & MANDOLIN WIND ARE MASTERPIECES & FAVS!!
@Ronnie Wood Hell Yes Ronnie Wood, I'm One Huge Ass Fan Of Yours with you being a pure MUSICAL GENIUS! Give me your personal info and tell SIR ROD that the FACES wouldn't be in the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME without the GLUE on lead guitar and that would be you, Mr. Ron Wood! I sent a text to Guinness Book Of World Records about the FACES inducted together in just six years! Ron Wood you propelled the FACES into Cleveland, Ohio's Hall! BET THAT and giving you recognition you so much DESERVE! Look over those twin girls well Ronnie and GOD BLESS!
He is amazing❤❤Ronnie is so funny a real good jokerman he needs in Stones😊😊😊❤❤❤Mick is the boss and desided a lot in the band❤❤❤he is the brain and Keith is funny to a lot off joke in the band always❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊And Charlie so cool❤❤❤so handsome man miss him so much😢❤❤❤he is always gone be one off them and Bill Wyman to❤❤😂and Brian never gone forget him either❤❤❤❤R.I.P .Charlie and Brian..❤❤❤❤❤
chrisbacos I don't know about that. Mick Taylor was only with the band for a very short time in comparison, and elevated their music to heights not matched since. However, I do think Ronnie was perfect for them at the time. He had the attitude and personality to "be a Stone" more than MT ever did, and his calming presence and sense of humor probably helped keep the band together when Mick and Keith were at each others' throats.
Im so sick and tired of the whole "Mick Taylor was the greatest thing that's ever happened to the Stones" bullshit narrative. The creative engine of the Stones has always been Jagger and Keith, and Taylor just happened to be in the band when those two were at their creative peak. Taylor never actually contributed much to the writing or the recording of the Stones hits and he knows it. It's true Taylor is a fairly skilled guitarist and has had multiple cool live performances with the Stones, but there's no shortage of blues players in rocknroll that play the same Clapton-esque style lead guitar as Taylor, who are arguably way better than him, both technique-wise and creative-wise, which explains his awkward positioning outside of the Stones. Ronnie, on the other hand, though not supremely skilled or creative in terms of songwriting, offers his own unique style and energy to the Stones sound which is refreshing and infinitely more interesting. and as Charlie Watts perfectly put it : Ronnie is a great band player who knows how to adapt and fit in. Have you even heard Keith and Ronnie weave? Talk about magical
Actually as far as sheer versatility goes Brian Jones was by far the most versatile Stone. The guy could pick up and play any instrument and add just the right amount of color to a song. All of those great singles that the Stones released early on are great examples of his versatility. From the basic but tasty slide work on Red Rooster, marimba on Under My Thumb, sitar on Paint It Black and many other songs Jones displayed a knack for taking a good song and making it sound great. Yeah Brian was a real bastard at times but he was the most influential Stone back then. Mick Taylor was the best guitarist to play in the Stones and Ronnie has filled the role of Peace Maker/Little Brother in the Stones for longer than most newer Stones fans have been on this planet. Average guitar player at best but works well with Keith and is a great guy.
RON ; YOU HAVE BELIEVED THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN YOU THE POSITION OF GUITARIST IN THE STONES BECAUSE YOU ARE GOOD? NOT RON, KEITH NEEDED A FRIEND, NOT A GREAT GUITARIST, THAT DARKS HIS WORK BY THAT, DISREGARDED TO FRAMPTON, LESLIE WEST OR JEFF BECK, YOU ARE HORRIBLE, YOU HAVE WON THE LOTTERY AND YOU DO NOT DESERVE IT, IT TAKES THAT PATH OF THE PAINTING THAT YOU DO IT VERY WELL
How do you judge a TIMELESS ROCK LEGEND LIKE MR RON WOOD ! IS IT WITH EYES &"VISION"??? IS IT "EARS " with funtionability ??? DICKY YOU DEFINITELY NEED OPTOMETRIST ALONG WITH EAR NOSE & THROAT APPOINTMENTS ASAP!!!
Dickey i dont care if you"ve been on a World FUCKING TOUR and you play the STEEL GUITAR & the FUCKING DOLBRO as we ! When you trash RON WOOD for the brilliant guitarist that he is in being an ICON LEGEND that he is with what im talking about ! He's in the ROCK HALL OF FAME with the STONES & the FACES and that's a huge accomplishment without question !-

CIAO! 👅
Woodie has also established himself as a more versatile artist in a way neither Brian Jones or Mick Taylor could have ever achieved.

I don't know about that.

Brian Jones was definitely a more versatile artist
Upeeta! That's Finnish language and it means GREAT!
Also, the title of a cover story of rolling stone magazine in 1975 which read " rolling stones are born not made" truer words were never spoken!
Great guitar player; great guy, Ron Wood.
What tune is that playing under the interviews?
ARIZJOE 'Pretty Beat Up' from Undercover
Nós fazíamos parte da banda podre vom o Mick, Beatles não era muito a nossa praia....tempos bons!! Hello Mick!!
Ye Ronnie isa stone an I like him
At his best with the Faces as a writer and a class guitarist & painter/designer
Humble guy. Esp for a rock musician
Does anyone know the piece of music played over the closing credits to this documentary?
what is the song on the background?
+Эрнесто Гевара Pretty Beat Up from the album Undercover, written by Jagger, Richards and Wood!
+The Rolling Stones thank you!
CHarlie is my darling next to KEef
Too bad Ronnie didn't join in 69 . Far more versatile musician, and far more of a true Rolling Stone . Taylor just never fit in that way to me. 😎
What's he done. I can't think of a single song he improved.
Probably because you've run out of charisma pills
That yellow shirt in Orlando....
Ronnie be goode
at least he isnt "the new guy" anymore lol
I know Ronnie, at this late date, has a new wife and a baby. That right there shows that he’s a stand up guy.
I miss Mick Taylor with his beautiful guitar playing..
and the rest??? Darryl,... Tim ries...., Chuckl.....Lisa,..... bernard......what about their time spending with us???
Brian Jones == Mick Taylor== Ronnie Wood
переведите на русский.
Have no idea what he brings to the band................................
Listen again then
Mmmmm. Lost on me. Whereas Mick Taylor? He da man. Ronny got nothing on him.
@@themillwall442 I agree they’re in different leagues but Ronnie brought a lot to the band
Doesn't have a musical bone in his body body and never a "Stone". Only there 'cause he isn't Mick Taylor.
But still less of a Stone than Brian Jones and Mick Taylor.
Shite!
Er um Ronnie sucks
Musicalement Ron Wood n'a strictement rien apporté aux STONES, au contraire ! C'est la plus grande erreur de casting de l'histoire du rock and roll !
40 years of missing Mick Taylor, & Brian Jones
Should've stayed with Jeff Beck, as a Bass player
Lead guitarist? LMFAO
Rockin Ronnie Wood the Guitar Slinger ,.
Love Ya Ronnie see you in Pittsburg, !
