Depending on your navigation model - it may not have an English function. Obviously the navigation set up/dash area does not look like the one in the video I made where the "Set Up" button was on the left.

It most likely has no English option. Most Japanese cars made for Japan do not have English options. In the last few years Toyota has started to offer it in some navigation systems...but even then you still need to be able to read/understand Japanese to a point to use the system.

Hi Mick, I got a packet today from USS. I got microSD HC1 card in it along with papers for the car. Is this the SD card I must use? I used an sd adapter and inserted in slot behind the screen but nothing happens when i click setup. Instead i think thats the SD slot for music. You know where i should insert the toyota sd card?

tumur ganbat Navi - it may have an English speaking option but full English option will not be available. Sorry not familiar with that issue - not sure what you can do there.

Andre Spence If it has the language option in the menu it will change to English speaking and show some English on the menu, screen etc - but it will not be 100% English - that is it will still require the user to be able to read kanji (Chinese Characters used in Japanese language). Note-the mapping is also for Japan only - as far as I know the mapping will not show up in any other country. Thanks, Mick.
Monica - thanks for the question but I am sure that that year did not have an English capable navigation. To the point Honda Fit's still made in Japan have no English unless requested from new and even then the English is minimal.

The Syste doe snot change to 100% English - the voice guidance changes and some items on the map and menu will show up in English but to enter addresses you will still need to be able to read Japanese. Note: The navigation system will work in Japan only. Regards, Mick.

I doubt if that model has the English capable navi. If it was imported from Japan the navigation will not work outside of Japan.
