    When Palmer's on the ball, everything slows down. Hardly ever makes the wrong decision. Along with his shooting ability, vision and composure, he's deceptively quick with intelligent movement. Glad he has freedom in this Chelsea side and not shackled on the wing under Pep.

      Exactly! Anyone objective knows Pep wasn't giving a young 'artist' football freedom (and, frankly, stifled Palmer!). He'd be looking for evidence the kid could fit into his system (and possibly fill in for more senior players already doing that). What it took was the freer vision of the current Chelsea manager. Simple.

    The way Fabregas is describing Palmer's ability, there is only one player I am being reminded of who could do things like that and make it looks effortless. And he was the focal point of the strongest ever team in Europe, the 2009-2011 team of Barcelona.

    What makes Cole Palmer so special?
    I think I spoke about this, the other day on another channel.
    His in-game football IQ and game awareness is phenomenal. Tremendous peripheral vision, first touch on the ball, and almost instinctive finishing in front of the goal sets him apart from the pack. In professional football, there is a saying, 'to be able to visualize a pass is already half the job done'. This is so true with Palmer. He is literally a living embodiment of the saying. Having been an exceptional midfield talent himself, Cesc can identify and acknowledge these qualities in Cole Palmer.

    • @berlinocelot
      @berlinocelot 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He's not better than Oder if you wanna compare positions, which realistically doesn't make any sense. The things Martin O does throughout the game are incredible attack or defensive wise. Cold P is a pure attacker, and as soon he gets the ball, he's going at you. I love that about him. Cole couldn't play Martin O's game and vice versa. For me he's my favourite player in the world at the moment.

    Frustrated me how Palmer was held back for so long and not given a chance at City.
    He could have been doing what he’s done the last year or so at 19/20 rather than 22, or even younger when you compare him to say, Lamal, who is 17.
    Owen, Rooney, Walcott, Anelka, Wilshere, Sterling, Trent, Joe Cole, Fowler, Giggs… all given the opportunity in their teens.
    I don’t believe at 18/19 Cole Palmer wasn’t ready to have his when you see him now at 22.

      Hey. Good points, but if you look back at the 'early' Cole when he was in the Elite squad he looked like he does now, but when he stepped up he wasn't there physically so when he tried these things he'd lose the ball, which Pep doesn't like, besides Cole always looks for the forward pass, which is sometimes risky and again loses the ball. I'm gutted he was sold and even more gutted we don't have a buy back clause. he's an amazing talent I just hope England can sort out the Bellingham, Foden, Cole problem

      @@beejj6190 agreed, but you missed the fact I was responding to a comment that Palmer could have done what he's done for Chelsea whilst at City, but that's not the case due to the way Pep likes his teams to play, so in essence I said the same as you?? he also needed bulking up so he was stronger which your now seeing. 4 years ago he was a lightweight. I know I've watched him for years, and I'm STILL gutted that he's left, but so proud of what he's achieved, even if its for another club. That's how highly i rate him
