It's interesting how a segment such as Geoffredy would bomb on any other podcast and yet it's such a cut above/from the same cloth as the rest of this podcast as to make Amir GIDDY with excitement
Had a panic attack while listening to Geoff try and explain not only the lyrics to this week's rice song, but the entire history of the hyper niche, inside-inside "joke" as a whole while Sean and Hayes stared blankly ahead, silently begging for either the merciful end of the show, or even the sweet release of death - Whichever would have been fine, so long as it put an end to Geoff's, well... Poison.

I can't get over Geoff's ankles. They truly are the most thin ankles I've seen on a grown man.
Heard so much about Geoffpardy and I have to say I'm not at all disappointed. I can see why I keep hearing about it. My favourite part: the format.
I maintain that the reason Geoff can't explain the shift from songs being just kind of about rice to specifically being about burning rice is because the anti-rice sentiment in the songs is a (subconscious?) response to having to sing the rhythm of the rice a million times during the 24 hour livestream
Geoff’s leg is all sock. He’s a stuffed animal boy.
With these new guests, it feels like Amir and Geoff recognize pretty early on the type of episode that this is going to be, and then they both roll with that because they understand it's going to work. Really excellent.

This episode was laugh out loud funny. Geoff being his usual character and two absolute masterful guests imitating his negativity, disinterest, and vitriol to a tee. Amir was leagues below his cohosts yet again.
Oh man, that's exactly right - it's like the HH and Scott episodes, except this time it's with a 20 year old
Geoffardy… honestly one of those segments I could do WITHIN. As in, every episode should contain geoffardy within it.

Amir was much more subdued this episode. Usually he's a lot more vitriolic and generally unpleasant. I hope everything is okay, and that his midlife crisis isn't hitting him too hard.

ikr, never listened to their show but they just seem like total assholes, totally rude about headgum on air and refusing to even try and work with Geoff's style, really pissed me off lol

@@flamingsketches They are playing the rude part up for the episode. Also if you agree to join a respectable studio, you would imagine things working smoothly. Somethings humiliating your superiors will get things rolling faster. Why are they saying this to Amir is beyond me though because it seems like he doesn't really do anything at the company. Usually when Jake gets asked details about the company, he knows all the answers but Amir never knows anything, sometimes not even if a guest is an employee of the company.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Headgum is extremely dysfunctional bts, people who join as employees tend to leave quickly.

So let me get this straight…just to be clear…the HH guys want elaboration and to ruminate on…every single thing that’s said? Flatly? Is that what’s happening here? Is that what the whole episode is? Am I understanding this right? I think that’s what’s happening here. The sarcastic, monotoned enthusiasm too. It truly never got tired. For the whole hour. Two great bits. We’re scouring and workshopping every spoken word of conversation…correct? Is that right?…and also we’re not impressed about it.
Headgum fans should listen to the HH ep with Amir and you'll understand what happened here a little bit better....I mean yeah and the fact that there were a lot of technical issues for 2-4 weeks probably didn't help
I mean, this is just what the Headgum podcast is like. Headgum fans will not be confused. This is not an abnormal episode in any way.
