👉 Wow, what an eye catcher Dimash is again and again. The whole package: looks, voice, movement and above all character. That little smile blows my mind and the rhythm makes my feet dance all by themselves. But like Fly Away, this dance song gets meaning through the lyrics. I can't remember ever hearing a tuba (The tuba is the lowest of all brass instruments.) in the orchestration of a pop song… I think it's great. The icing on the cake is the sound of the dombra at the end... great.
Zhalyn/ Flame, a dynamic song in the Kazakh language, was written by Kazakh composer Yedilzhan Gabbasov (co-author Dimash Qudaibergen). Yedilzhan wanted to create something Kazakh with a modern sound: “As a kid I listened to a lot of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and other quality music. This is often my main source of inspiration...“ ...you can hear it.
The Poet Nurzhan Askhatuly shared what he wanted to express in the lyrics:
“To change for someone else is tantamount to losing yourself. If you have changed yourself, you are no longer you. You turn away from your nature and become a completely different person. That’s why I think we should try to understand and accept anyone, no matter how different they are from us. That’s the main point of the song.”
The music video was filmed by Kazakh director Shyngyskhan Tazhikeev in the MOOD VIDEO genre. This music video was an experiment both for him and for the performer himself. During the creation of the music video there was no script with a story. (Dimash news)

It’s sad that MJ didn’t live long enough to meet Dimash or have a chance to collaborate with Dimash, like some of Dimash’s great role models, such as Lara Fabian, Andrea Boccelli, and Placido Domingo… Here he was singing in Kazakh, and that strumming instrument you can hear in the background is a dombra, Kazakh instrument, that is practically in every home. In English, the title of the song is Flame. Dimash reflects upon the idea that he will not change for anyone..."take me as I am! " ❤
The great thing about Dimash is that if he sings opera, he is an amazing opera singer. If he sings pop, he is a great pop song singer. Usually if an opera singer tries to sing contemporary songs, they still sound like opera singers. Dimash has a specific voice for each style. I just love him. You never know what style song he will sing next. He sang a new Nathan Wang song at his birthday concert which I loved. Hope he releases a mood video for that soon.
Did he sing a new song? Thought that was an old ost for a chinese movie, Vanguard?
It's not new. Be Happy was the official OST for the Jackie Chan movie Vanguard released a few years ago. It's just that Dimash has never performed it live before.
