I feel like Ars gets a lot of sh!t and dislike from the fandom for what happened with Aisha. Among Rudeus children, many consider him the worst and overlook his good qualities. During the time he was escaping with Aisha, it is revealed that he used his swordmanship skills to protect Aisha from any harm (monsters, bandits) and also trained and worked really hard to provide for both. When he fought Eris, he wasnt willing to give up and stood his ground despite the fact that he took a brutal beating and got his hand cut off. And he was only 12-13 years old. His determinaion its truly worthy of respect.
And the best part is in the Middle Ages, from which Mushoku is highly inspired, marriage between close relatives was normal in rich families, most people today don't even know about it.
