Rdj still doesnt go to Japan even today because of that incident. this particular fan meeting was held in korea for those few japanese fans. Also aside from rdj's incident look at the current situation in japan, the politics, the things their people say on the internet. all their dirt is starting to surface. japan is currently on the verge of demolishing as a country.

And probably those japanese fans have gone eating Korean BBQ beef, bibimbop and soju drink for meeting Robert Downey Jr. And ladies gone to buy Korean cosmetic products. And thank you japanese fan for spending lots of money in Korea.

Indian fans are such a huge part of the viewers that MCU even filmed a special tribute by showing Tony Stark attending an Indian wedding in Spider-Man Homecoming. And as to only visiting Japan because it’s a rich country?? What? RDJ never visits Japan at all! Not since getting kicked out over a decade ago after the first Iron Man tour. This is a special fan meet with some Japanese fans that spent their own money to fly to KOREA to meet him in person. He agreed to do it because he feels bad he’s not allowed to go to Japan and so wanted to meet these fans to send a message to other Japanese fan he wouldn’t get to see on the extended press tour.
