Toasty: The Dong player is actually quite skilled, if you were even paying attention to the combos and JDs he was pulling off. It's easy to say he needs improvement when he's matched off against a player with a better character...it was a really close game, and I commend the Dong player for keeping up.
Howard Arena's tier list is based off of win percentages with certain characters, so it's definitely not an accurate representation of who the best characters are, since it's just a small population of players who may favor certain characters over others. Some characters don't get nearly as much play as the more popular ones. Regardless, Jenet has long been regarded as upper-mid, which mind you, is close to but NOT top tier. You can argue all you want about it.

But my original point was that people truly can use incredible skill in fighting games. 1 frame links between moves for example DO get done reliably by the pros (see Daigo Street Fighter matches, or Pharaon92i's channel for HNK examples etc).
Dude, check out Hokuto No Ken games to see plenty of people fighting this well. It's not necessarily scripted, just takes LOTS of skill and dedication. Hokuto players can pull off (say) ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY PLUS HIT COMBOS which need the input of every single hit. Matches are won and lost in an instant with these combos and with the instant kill Fatal KO moves. Players HAVE to play with no mistakes in high level matches or they lose!!
yes he is, btw what does gato says when the fight its about to start? something like "you look strong, prove it"? also at the end. I've always wanted to know what does the chars say but obviously i don't know japanese, any page or something?
Not so. There's no combo checking because the characters in the anime use *single* strike killing arts; the player can essentially do this too. This is one of the few reasons Hokuto No Ken is truly different from other games! Although it must seem TERRIBLE to players who aren't used to fighting this way, being the opposite of how game design has been heading, this style is exactly what people like me play that game for in the first place :D. We want to do what we see in the anime! B) :D
i like to use Jenet & Gato. also i use this characters in King Of Figthers XI. Garou & KOF are cool Games. SNK have many cool titles. in the PS2 have some games.
noobnoobnoobnoob blabla for humanity sake you both know a lot about the game and tier debating is not really something people should take into account,because sometimes it makes new players play with characters they dont "get the flow" if you know what I mean.also most tiers are based in tournament placement

Too bad all these good matches are obviously macro / scripted. No names of players... the person who posted them said they wanted to be anonymous. You will never see matches like these... Theres just no error at all.. A good example is the gato vs rock. Thats just a bs match. Obviously scripted with macros.
Scrub -- people can & DO practice how to do that shit. Just because you can't fathom the yomi these guys are playing at doesn't make your attempt at analysing their moves right. You're still wrong. Go find some better players; maybe you'll reach this level with practice...

Those were some nice corner combos by both players within the last round... Overall a good match anyway, but those were all amazing.

haha, i love dong hwan. He is just freaking hilarious. I'm really amazed how well he plays Dong, cause he is one of the harder characters to control
