Hello from Germany, at the moment i rewatch all of your videos again. And i'm brave enough to leave my first comment here. I love your videos. They helped me a lot ♥️
Thank you for being brave! I'm glad to have you here with us on this channel. Thanks for leaving a comment and feel free to leave comments whenever you are inspired to do so.
You surprised me! At first, I thought it was impossible to make 6 meals with so little food, much less diverse ones. But you did! I'm so impressed! I just subscribed and plan on watching ones I've missed to get caught up. And as someone else commented, I find your voice so soothing, too. Great video. Thanks! You're great at this.
lol. I think I surprised myself too! Thanks for subscribing and your support. I really enjoy making these challenge videos and it makes me really happy that other's like them too! See ya next week!
Wow! I salute you, my dear. Good job what’s nice about your recipes is that I can make any of your meals substituting something else for the meat or leaving the meat out completely. I enjoy doing that, especially since I can add in something that I need to use up. And/or make a substitution for any ingredient that I don’t have or that I don’t want to use. you have taught me to be versatile. Thank you.❤
Damn you are good. Don't know how I got to here, but now subbed. Why so few subscribers when so many views? Great voice,no yelling or amped up, just a calm voice, so nice.
Welcome to Frugally Delicious! Glad you're here!! That's a great question!!! TH-cam is a funny place. I'm not sure why people are watching but not subscribing. I have another channel and it's the same kind of thing. It's so true that more non-subscribers watch videos then subscribers do. Either way, thanks for the voice compliment! See ya later this week in a new video!!!
Yea, for sure! I want to make a low budget desserts video using flour and milk as the main ingredients. Thanks for all of your very very kind comments. I wasn't sure if I'd get a lot of support for these types of videos and I wasn't sure if anyone would find them useful. Thanks!
@@frugallydelicious. They are very useful to people who might be struggling to feed themselves or families on a small budget. You had some protein at each meal. Which is not always easy to do.
I love your content! Not sure why it took me so long to find you but I'm glad I did. You have a very calming voice which is very appreciated and needed in the kitchen.
Thank you so much! I love "playing" in the kitchen and I believe cooking should be an adventure! I actually just started this channel about a month ago! So it didn't take you long to find me! Lol. I actually have another channel that I started about three years ago. It's called Love Anything Art. On the channel I show folks how to make jewelry from Polymer Clay. Check it out if you like clay! Thanks so much for leaving a comment and for your time. Have a great week!
What I like about these meals is that they are realistic in that they fill you up for cheap. Also I love that potato bun idea and the potato dumplings you made. I mean everything was super yummy looking. That soup at the end would also be good if you made mini turkey meatballs 😊
Wow! I didn't know tortillas could be made without a fat in the dough!! Do you have more detailed instructions with kneading time, temperature of the stove burner, etc.? If so, I'd love to see those. Thanks!
Thanks for leaving a comment! I've never made tortillas before this video, so I've never tried it with butter or fats. It probably would come out better tasting with a little bit of fat or butter in it. I mean, everything tastes better with fats, right?! Lol. But these tortillas came out tasting good I think. I kneaded the dough a couple of times, like six or seven times I'd say. I didn't really do much to it. I did let it set for about 10 minutes before rolling it out. I cooked them on the stove at medium heat (it's an electric stove, which is between the 4 and 5 dial setting on my stove) for probably about a minute to a minute and a half on each side or until it started to bubble up a little bit with air pockets. I hope this helps!
@@frugallydelicious Of course! You're right about fats, but they are my storage nemesis, so if I learn where I can leave them out if push comes to shove, I'm grateful. Thank you for the instructions!!
Thank you. I really hope you found the video useful! I'm trying to cut out or limit the amount of diary, meat, and eggs we use. Or maybe only using one of those three in each meal I make instead of using all three in one meal. Best of luck to you! Take care, my friend!
Love this!! Thank you! Especially being a busy single woman. This helps so much! 🥰 an this is just the first video I've seen lol. U make cooking fun an simple. 💜

I've only tried making biscuits a couple of times, so I'm no expert for sure! But I would say that ready made mixes are the best way to go if they fit into your budget. The one's I made turned out ok, but professional ones are always better tasting.
Ok, I have to say your video put me to shame. With so few ingredients,, you made an interesting variety. Even though you were basically eating the same things over and over, you created biscuits, pie, soup and tortilla from the flour and accompanied your starch with some meat and some meals with vegetables. That's how my Mom made her white gravy. Easy to make, but tasty with the butter. She made it for homemade potpie. You could make a pie with the roux (the name for a white gravy) by using a small bakeable round dish with some veg and sauteed meat, add some of roux, mix it up, make a simple pie crust topping with the flour, water and butter (the contents seasoned and mixed together), rolled out then laid over the top and crimped between pointer finger and thumb, then poke with a sharp knife 4 or so times to let the steam escape, then bake like a pie for a smaller amount of time than a full size pie...maybe 400 degrees for about 13-15 minutes? Crust should turn golden brown.

If you keep lard. In times of hardship it makes a flavorful gravy.
This is an excellent idea!
Very impressed, especially because you have used meat too. I’m trying to think what meat we can use here in aus as all meat is so expensive!

Love this video! Is this self rising flour or all purpose!
Thanks! It's all purpose (that's all the store had), but I do recommend getting self rising if you can!
New here! ❤
Welcome!
Supper on day one could have been 2 separate meals, 1/2 of each side of plate
Very true!
How long did it take you to learn to make the biscuits? I feel like any kind of bread I try just never turns out. :(

butter or animal fats like bacon grease are the only things that make good gravy imo.
Yes, I agree!
It's ground turkey
Thanks!
