I remember going with my family to the beach at isola delle femmine when I was little. Our Sunday fun day. Many memories for me even though I was little. Most people took the train from Palermo to Isola. Cars were rare. 🤗

Thank you for your friendly recommendations and your easy conversational presentation. I hope to visit soon after several aborted efforts to travel due to Covid. There are many locations that I would like to see and you have just encouraged me to stay longer and see more. Thanks for sharing.

Castellamare in Italian means castle by the sea. Recently this town was the shooting location for the latest Indiana Jones movie. Beautiful!

Together with my wife, we did a fair part of exploring and hiking trough Sicily, but somehow we have always missed Mazala del Vallo.
We go to Sicily every year, so this summer we're definetly visiting Mazala del Vallo, thanks for the video and uncovering this gem to me
    😊

I really stanned looking that pictures about that men whos digged the sulphur in the mines. That images witnesses the awful poverty of that people. Several times I heard about them , I Knew they used working naked because the hot, but I never seen before so emotional photoshoots.
It's one of reason wich pulled many people to emigrate in the USA.
By the way,.... that three ladies zoomed on begining your video in Isola delle femmine said: we wish to send huge greetings to all that siciliens expat from Isola delle femmine toward America hoping to find luck.

Thank you Silvio! They were naked partially because it was hot partially because when it rained water would seep into the rocks and it would turn acidic and burn their skin. It was easier to wipe it off naked than burn their cloths.

The English were in Cianciana a long time before the famous actor arrived. I bought my house in 2008. He's a lovely chap but he's the not the reason people move there.
