    Carnivore 4+ years my blood Uric acid is on high side
    Ground beef 3 days , salmon 3 days and shrimp, oysters, sardines mix anyway , 7th day repeat.
    Fast 96 hrs once a month. Mostly 2 meal a day 12 noon and 4pm.
    Oh yeah I’m older than dirt 72, zero health problems zero meds.❤

      I work all day and then come home and grill my meat on a charcoal Weber every evening. Lazy is just weakness, no I’m not trying to be rude saying that. I was lazy for a long time and now I go nonstop everyday. Everyone can do it if I can. There is the exception of injury or illness but in that situation you can’t be lazy because it isn’t a choice.

    What I like most about ground beef is the flexibility with it... different fat contents, different formats (meatball travel snacks, thin burger patties, formed kabobs, meatloafs, etc, and seasonings if you go that route.)

    I'm somewhere around 1.3-1.5 g/lb.
    I started carnivore about a year and a half ago. The last six months I've added a few things but the main benefit of how I am eating is that I'm not eating junk. I lost all of my extra weight without working out. And now, I've actually started working out and I feel great.

    Great Lillie. Like you ,I am lazy and prefer just the ground beef, however, I recently bought an Air Fryer and I am so enjoying chicken thighs and salmon, yum yum and really no clean up just throw away the liner!!! OOOOOOh life is good. Cheers

    I've been carnivore for about 10 months, and strict for about 4 months, but I'd contend that the RDAs are set for people eating SAD diets. The less sugar and plants you eat cannibalizes less vitamins and minerals. Like for example the requirement for vit C rock-bottoms if you don't have it compete with glucose. The more I've gone strict, I've noticed the more I can eat in the same sitting. Not too sure what that'd mean really.

    I get the twelve pack of pre packed burger at Walmart every other day. Not the frozen ones. I add cheese some days. That’s all I eat most the time with the occasional other meats. I been carnivore since February or March and am down fifty lbs and I have more energy than I ever had. I go go go all day every day.
    This woman is very smart and pretty cool to go along with it. Thanks for the uploads and excellent advice and information.

    I am sad that I didn't start this sooner! I literally don't crave sugary, carby junk ever....EVER!!! I love eating this way and I can feel my body healing. My clothes fit better, I have more energy and I am eating more than I have ate before AND the scale has only moved 3 lbs in 1.5 months. All I am doing, for now, is increase my walking and focusing on getting more calories in as I ate so low for too long and just let my body heal from how I ate before. I am getting to the point now that I want to do more exercise than just walking but I will play it by ear.

    I tried carnivor for weeks and thought I would die with the cramps and more than just cramps but feeling like I had muscular dystrophy. Feet turning sideways and toes spreading apart. It was horrible and I was doing electolites as well. I have gone back to veggies also and still not 100% but getting better. I wish I could have done it but really not. I feel free to eat a well balanced diet again and enjoy all that God gave us to eat. I do not eat processed food and sugars.

      Noboby should 'try' carnivore. You need to slowly transition (cutting carbs gradually) towards it. It is a mistake so many people make. Some (young and healthy) can get away with it but most can not.
      It is a huge change in your how your body works. Take it easy and your patience will be rewarded.

    I feel better when I eat fish once a week, usually canned salmon, sardines or herring. Also quality chicken once or twice a month. I eat 3 or 4 eggs a day plus 2 cups of kefir. The meat is either grassfed ground beef or rare top sirlon which I think is good to get safe rare meat. How much meat? Between 6 oz to 12 oz daily. Usually 8. This depends on weather as I don't feel like eating a lot in summer heat. I also eat fruit to get electrolytes, usually a banana, an apple, a handful of berries and a glass of orange juice, all organic throughout the day. Also tons of butter 3/4 to 1 stick a day on real sourdough bread (I know this is a no-no) just a couple of small pieces a day. It has been close to one year eating this way and I feel more solid, strong and eventually I would like to ditch the bread. The only regular supplement is magnesium citrate and sometimes trace minerals from concentrated seawater. I'm a senior and had made the mistake of being vegetarian for many decades and can say a meat based diet is clearly healthier!! Thanks for all you do to educate people.
    Sometimes I get bored and add some spices or eat a couple cooked leaves of a baby book choy or some zucchini. Like every couple of months.

      Sounds like you are doing great! The only thing I’d change is get rid of the magnesium citrate. I’ve read it contains mold. Try taking magnesium oxide instead.

    Hi Lillie, thank you for your content! 56yo, 6'5" and 210lbs. Been carnivore since February, but the fat loss hasn't started yet. Currently eating 1.33lbs 75/25 GB and 4 eggs daily. I tried eating 2lbs and it was a big struggle and was always miserably full. Tried to eat for my desired weight (190lbs), but it's just too much food. Hoping the weight loss come soon, but still feeling better overall. Thank you again!

      Intermittent fasting will help a lot. I worked myself down to 1 meal per day and I would eat half of what I would of eaten for a whole day. I was still eating till full and didn't intend to reduce my portions but could only eat so much for one meal.

      6'5 and 210lbs sounds pretty skinny already unless you have no muscle at all and a tiny frame. I bet losing weight would be slow. at 6'0 190lbs I look pretty thin. You don't sound like you need to lose weight. maybe lose fat/gain muscle, but not lose weight.

    I highly recommend Lillie as a couch. She has done a great job helping my wife and I in trying to be healthier. We own two companies and our schedule is chaos at best. And she has really opened our eyes to be more conscious in what we eat.

    I used cronometer during chemotherapy to ensure I was eating to rebuild my red and white blood and platelets. Selenium in eggs for WBC, red meat for iron and B12 for RBC and salmon and shrimp for omega 3's. I had to supplement Folate. I delayed each infusion until my blood was repaired. 😊

    Stephanie Keto Person has been talking about this on her Channel for over a decade...I did exactly what Lillie and other carnivores said to do for 3 years...didn't realize I wasn't able to process such large quantities of protein...I was eating around 120g+ protein...I'm only 5'1... eating my body weight in protein was TOO MUCH. Stephanie person recommended women not eat more than 65-70g protein and eat at least 200 g fat. Since changing to her ratio, I've had so much more energy and have lost 10 lbs...

      @@katrizzo9293 i add 4 tbsp butter to my fatty latte in the morning (I cut out coffee thanks to Stephanie's advice on how bad it is for our health,especially that it has mold,toxins,and dehydrates us)...I add 4 tbsp of butter to each of my meals...about 16 tbsp butter a day is about 160g fat... then the fat from the meat I eat and avocado all adds up to 200g/day.

    I completely agree. Ground beef is so much easier than any other type of beef. It is also always soft unlike other beef cuts which are much harder to cook properly.

      Inch thick fillet steak takes only 16 mins in an airfryer, cuts like butter, tastes heavenly. Ground beef takes a lot longer to cook to become succulent, uses the beef waste and needs to be highly seasoned to taste good.

      @@carolwaller9605 Thank you for your feedback. I've never used an airfryer but only hear good things about it. However I am afraid of all the cleaning I would have to do, whereas with ground beef I grill it on parchment paper which leaves nothing to clean.

      100 percent correct. I've bought ribeye that I could barely cut with a knife. I've bought other cuts of beef and ended up putting it in the blender after cooking it because I couldn't chew it. Hamburger is consistently chewable.

    Your liver regulates how much iron you absorb. It makes a hormone called hepciden that blocks absorption if you already have enough. There’s some factors that interfere like drinking alcohol will make you retain more iron. I had high ferritin, I’m 58, so gave blood, goes down by about 50 points each time you give blood.

    This was great thank you so much!! Wow, I can’t believe how high your ferritin was! After my 2 year stint on a clean whole foods plant based diet 🤦🏽‍♀️, mine was left at 9!!! I started eating meat again (mostly red) and brought it up to 56 in 3 months. I need to check it again, hopefully it’s gone up some more.

    I think you're right. I'm skeptical on LMNT though I just try to throw in a mixture of electrolyte foods instead as a dressing when I can in a affordable way. LMNT is way out of my price range.

    As I have lost weight - I don't eat as much as before. But I do eat if I get hungry. And I get lazy too. That is why I have some premade stuff in the freezer plus lotts of hard boiled eggs.

    We raise beef so it is very accessible for us .
    But we also raise lamb, chickens and goats too....and horses ( but we dont eat those. Although i have had a horse ribeye and sirloin before , not much different than beef.)
    Anyway , one of my lazy favorite ways to make ground beef is to put a pound or two in a small crock pot with a teaspoon of gray celtic salt with about a 1/4 c of water!
    So good and so simple .

      @@LisaDeeCanada i use an instant pot, it has a stainless steel inner pot, you can set it on saute, and brown the meat, then add in water and slow cook or pressure cook it on a timer.. super simple & easy and no need to dirty a skillet / pan.

    People that know I eat healthy have asked for my favorite recipes. Recipes? That sounds like too much work. I cook most of my meat in the instant pot.
    Once a week I cook a pack of chicken thighs and a small roast.
    The chicken thighs are part of my breakfast, alternating days with frozen salmon fillets or frozen precooked shrimp.
    The roasts are used for dinners. I alternate between pork and beef each week.
    I pour the chicken/beef broth into separate bowls and use the fat that solidifies on top to cook with and I drink the broth. The broth is gelatinous when cold, which should mean it has some collagen.

      😂, I fry my hamburger in butter in a cast iron pan, I fry my eggs in a cast iron pan and eat right out of it. It saves a lot of time and work and my food stays hot until the last fork full. My chicken drumsticks get baked, enough for 3 days. I keep eating about as simple as you can get.

    I've owned and operated restaurants for 30 years. I eat none of what I sell. I eat ribeye, porterhouse, the occasional sardine, mackerel, and cheese. At 53, I'm fit and internally very healthy. My restaurants sell southern food. I feel bad I make good money poisoning people. Seed oils and carbs will kill you sooner than you like.

      Survey your customers over a week and ask them if they want their food to be cooked with tallow or canola oil. Try to implement changes that wouldn't sabotage your revenue.

      Guess what? You can bake okra instead of frying...and our family likes it better that way. Lightly coat the sliced okra with cornmeal/flour/salt...after you heat the oven to 400 degrees. Olive oil in baking pan and bake small amount of chopped garlic ( about 3- 5 min.) before putting the okra in. Bake 20 min. YUM. Make your own ghee (clarified butter)...so much better for us than butter. I cook Southern style...but hardly ever fry anything.

    I have learned to listen to my body/tastes. I started the first few weeks and had tons of food. Beef, bacon, pork, eggs, etc. Ove time I favor chicken more, or beef more, or pork more, or seafood more. Its not always the same thing. Plus, I have reduced my need for food intake now that I am much healthier. I find I got back to beef or chicken or whatever on protein cravings. I think I wouldnt do a beef only diet, could be because I love bacon too much lol. Ive been eating this way for 2.75 years now and its amazing still! Ive lost over that time 150#, I dont take vitamins, suppliments, or medications. I am heathy, energetic and more. Ive more to go, but I think variety keeps it just fine. For me, I have no electrolyte issues, I simply just salt my foods! I dont put down those that do but for me, its not necessary.

    I started with one(1) pound of ground beef per day, I’m going into my third year as carnivore and now I’m eating 4+ lbs per day. I started to eat more when introducing gym exercises. I doubt I would be able to survive eating 2 paddies a day at my current carnivore journey. Cheers 🥩🥩🥩

    Girl I mix my ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, pork and ground organ. And it's leaner beef. No, I don't enjoy cooking, so I can make enough for 2 meals for 3 days, 11 oz a meal. I also add powder bone broth,collagen, yeast and colostrum. But I also have chicken thighs or pork loins not to get bored. I don't worry about ferratin, as mine is extremely low. My body can't store it.

    To balance the B vitamins, I always mix a 50-50 pork and beef, so I can keep things simple. In case you are worried about iron and do not want to check how much copper and calcium you consume, just throw in some endurance workout. High intensity training and endurance training increase the iron loss by almost 70%, since red blood cells are breaking down faster during those activities. There are 2 spectrums of having too much from some macro or micro nutrient. Either you eat more than you should or you move less than you should. So for those, whom are willing to do more than lifting weights for the minimum effort, throw is some hard work.

    LILLIE - Regarding your elevated Liver Enzymes (ALT / AST). I think I found an explanation, and it is NOT related to diet. Refer to this study: "Muscular exercise can cause highly pathological liver function tests in healthy men".... "It has long been known that physical exercise results in transient elevations of liver function tests". There is some good information there and I am hoping you see this before you make too many alterations to your diet. Because I know you and your husband are very active and frequently working out in the gym. It sounds like a reasonable explanation.

    Maybe cooking in the cast iron pan is also effecting your higher iron level 🤷‍♀️… just a thought 🤷‍♀️

    Love your videos, Lillies! I have found that I prefer ground bison to ground beef. I add grass-fed butter to make up for the lean nature of the bison. What are your thoughts? Does it really make a difference, nutritionally?

    As a trained Chef, I'm in the process of switching to more of a carnivore diet for my health. No weight issues here, but serious inflammation issues along with other chronic problems for which I think this diet might help.
    It's very strange to me, learning how to just cook and eat a hunk of meat and dairy/eggs.
    I think I might be pretty happy about that!

      There used to be a time when people could only eat what was in their immediate climate region. As the globalized import/export business grew w efficient distribution methods, people enjoyed trying exotic things from the other side of the world, and the exchange of scientific and medicinal understandings spread along w it albeit much more slowly - everyone needs to eat, not everyone is equipped to be educated at the level of what is now considered to be a 'professional practice.' It's not really that we're told how to eat, it's that we've prioritized economy over health and there are plenty of people and organizations out there that have no problem profiting from the ignorance or laziness of others.

    We need to connect! I've been fairly strict Carnivore for 6 months... (I eat a little cheese, whole cream & whole milk yogurt) but I CANNOT eat enough.. would love to hear what CARBS you add!     That's some really high zinc intake from all that beef! Honestly when I first started this 7 months ago we bought some steaks but I didn't even likethem & still don't. Too much to keep chewing, my jaws hurt! I have 2 hamburger patties every night but I should weigh them. Sometimes I add a chicken thigh or drumstick

      I have been carnivore for two years and haven't messed up a steak since the first month. It's really not hard. All you need is a timer and a thermometer. Regardless of whether I'm using an indoor grill, outdoor grill, or cast iron, I sear at a high temp (450 to 600°F is fine, it really doesn't matter that much) for 3 minutes on each side and then check the temp. If it's a thicker cut, I then move to indirect heat (turn one burner off on the grill or throw it in the oven) until it hits my preferred temperature range of 118°F to 130°F. It's pretty much foolproof. Are there more precise ways that might eke out a slightly tastier steak? Probably, but my minimal effort approach makes for a delicious, juicy steak every time.
      Also, if you really want to eliminate mistakes, sous vide is pretty hard to screw up.

    I eat a variety of beef daily. Ground beef, beef liver, steaks, roast, stew meat, etc. Not all in the same day everyday obviously. But I have beef with my breakfast, basically beef, bacon, butter, and eggs. The type of beef is variable with my breakfast, but it's beef every morning.

    1:00 I eat a lot of ribeye because I'm lazy and cheap. When I say this people say I can't be 'cheap' because a 16oz thick cut ribeye is about $20. But it fills me up, when I spent 5-7 minutes per side cooking a $20 ribeye and $4 asparagus, I don't feel hungry again until sometimes a day and a half later. $24 a day is so much cheaper and quicker than $6 for breakfast, $15 for lunch at a deli, and another $15 for dinner. I cut my food costs so much by eating just meat and grass, which is my favorite anyway.

    High ferritin in your blood test is a marker for inflammation. It is not a marker for high iron levels because ferritin in the blood stream is light ferritin meaning that it contains little or no iron.

      Ferritin is the storage form of iron. The body sequesters the iron if someone has an inflammation process. A virus or a bacteria or some other inflammatory condition. See Dr. Paul Mason videos. 🎉

      I do fully agree, as I have same issue and I have done research about it. That's mean there is inflammation in the body, organs or joints or anything else. Which is cause ferreting level high. Meat itself increase body iron, not ferretin(iron protein). Doctors blame red meat for ferretin level, but this is wrong. Lillie have long time standing issue with inflammation of her skin that is easily cause ferreting level higher. I am trying carnivore diet now to see, if it reduce my inflammations - almost 2 months strict diet and will keep going to see any good or bad result.

      My ferritin was 430. I’m 58 though. Donated blood a bunch of times and it goes down by about 50 points each time. Keep in mind your body regulates how much iron you absorb based on need. Your liver makes a hormone called hepciden that blocks absorption. But certain factors might affect it though. Alcohol is one factor.

    Love your channel! We are the same height & weight but I’m twice your age.
    I eat grass fed hamburger patties everyday. Love & crave them! They are also easy for a long day commuting and work. My only issue is feet cramping through the night. I take an LMNT daily and salt my food but can’t seem to stop the cramping & my sleep is disrupted. Any advice?

    One thing to take into account when talking about the levels of nutrients in meat, is the fact that our absorption efficiency is orders of magnitude higher than from plant-based foods, so it might not matter if the quantity of a certain nutrient seems low in meat

    Allow me to share my Carnivore experience and struggles:
    I have been eating meat and eggs for 8 months.(Red meat most of the time. Chuck steak) I am a healthy individual with no chronic diseases. I started the carnivore diet to lose body fat without starving or starving myself.(body recomposition + satiaty)
    I am 180cms tall, 185 lbs, and +-21-22% BF. I have not lost any body fat in the last almost 4 months.(My goal is to be 15%BFor less, what would require me to lose at least 15lbs of fat)
    I eat 500-600g of meat(usually read meat/Chuck steak) and 6-7 eggs. I also do strength training 2-3 times a week to help lose body fat and maintain muscle mass.
    Allow me to ask some question about the Carnivore diet:
    1- What adjustments do I need to make to lose body fat on a carnivore diet, without being hungry?
    2- Should I use the CICO model if I can't lose body fat on a carnivore diet? (should i start counting my calories to lose bodyfat?)
    3- How long should it take to evaluate the carnivore diet (I've had poor results so far and i am starting to consider to quit)
    4- How do I calculate how much fat and protein (even calories) I should eat on a carnivore diet to lose body fat without, being hunry or starving myself?
    5- Is it a problem to eat leaner cuts of meat?

    I eat 2 lbs of fatty gb per day. But i'm 165lbs. In my last blood test everything was in the green, but they didn't list cholesterol numbers. 😂
    A recent study on women, however, showed that hypertension, obesity, etc., were much higher risk markers to heart disease than higher ldl.

    2 things: 1. red meats are not all the same, for example usually you have choices in ground beef (regular, medium lean and lean) the leaner, the more protein and iron) so, choose regular and the amount of good fat will help 2. Uric acid is your friend, that is the most powerful antioxidant made by the body to reduce free radicals

    To lower iron you may want to get a carbon steel fry pan as opposed to cast iron. I prefer cast iron for cooking but once in a while I mix it up by using carbon steel. I also tend to overdo it with protein because I “can’t get enough”. I’m type2 diabetic so when my fasting glucose gets higher, I back off the protein and add more fat. However, this “fat for satiety” doesn’t work for me. I do like it though as it’s a good vehicle for salt.

    I'm all for variety but labs are not an objective measure, apparently. It's like labs would say that high LDL is a problem but is it really? Are all lean mass hyper-responders at risk? - I doubt that. There are plenty of people eating close to only beef diet for years and do they get any issues from that? Mikhaila Peterson is a famous example on her lion diet.
    It's important to remember that many of RDIs, tests and lab ranges are designed for the general population eating an average diet, not a carnivore diet. A person on a strict lion diet should get scurvy quickly according to the RDI but the outcome doesn't seem to show that.
    Variety is still great and likely optimal, at least from time to time as it would naturally occur.

    Hey Lilly. Was looking at you and your husband's blood work and noticed that your sodium and chloride are on the lower end. My sodium was also low and I was getting some issues with confusion, which I was told can be induced from low sodium. So I added 1/4 tsp 4x a day, since when you eat a non processed diet, you really get very little sodium. I use Redmond salt (because I live in Utah!). Not sure how much salt you take in a day, but I think carnivores should focus on getting at least 2 grams a day and more for active people.

    I know you said your goal in this video is not to confuse but it actually makes it confusing because a lot of the carnivore influencers are eating red meat majority. And I know you disclaimed what works for them is good if it works for them and not for you but that it did at one point and for years and now all of a sudden it doesn't makes it confusing. So basically the sum of all recent videos is that we all react differently to carnivore so one must tailor ones foods menu as we all react differently to each food? So is Dr. Chaffee and Dr. Baker and Mikhaila Peterson, Jordan Peterson, etc. have too much iron and is their liver going to have issues? Or is just some people will have the issues?

      Not Lilly,but...the artificial sweeteners in diet drinks started shutting my kidneys down,one was so damaged it took 4 years to get normal. These drinks are bottled warm,stored warm,transported cold,get warm,then refrigerated again. This changes the chemical arrangement,and your body basically converts it to wood alcohol. Artificial sweeteners are also killers of your gut health,which gut health is a key to healthy weight. Try to keep your drinks clean of artificial stuff,your body will thank you:)

      Same, too many women are fear mongered about meat and try to treat their anemia by eating more spinach…it doesn’t work.

      @@Orangejui I always ate meat and never ate spinach though. I wasn't absorbing due to years of PPIs and even possibly gluten sensitivity. Important to find root cause. Of course, the iron group I'm in has lots of women who went vegan and it was harmful to their health (some still refusing to change).

    Thanks Lillie.... question: I have a female friend who had her "Gaul Bladder" removed a month ago. She is 5'9" and weighs 122 lbs. I have watched her eat and I suspect she has anorexia nervosa!! I know this issue has deep roots with CONTROL about everything in their life! Any suggestions to help me guide her to eating RED MEAT and Eggs?

    I'm carnivore 3-4 days a week, and keto 3-4 days a week. And even when I keto I keep the carbs 10 grams or less. On keto days I'll usually eat a large salad with no carb ranch or Caesar dressing and no croutons as one of the meals, the other 1 or 2 meals will be 100% carnivore or very close to it. Anyway, these meals plus my exercise routines works well for me.
