Learning how to track lost people in the wilderness is an essential skill for all search and rescue teams. SCVSAR trains yearly in this skill and is tested by the Mountain Rescue Association (MRA) every three years. We rely on donations to keep our team funded for new equipment and training. All team members are EMT's and either a reserve deputy sheriff or high risk volunteer as well as MRA certified.
