This is a guide/review of the Nissan Connect 2 satnav/multimedia/infocenter available in some of their models. The video was made by request of a member on the Qashqai forum.
Thank you so much for this video!! We have had our Juke Tekna 1.5 diesil since July 2013 and we have hardly ever used anything regarding what you have told and shown us on here. Speed camera's for just one and 2, how to use the Google 'Nissan Connect'. Indepth video's like yours on how to use the various settings, ways of how to get the best out of the different setting e.g Eco, Normal & Sport engine modes etc should all be compiled onto a DVD for the new owners of cars like these, so everyone can get full use of everything they have to offer. Instead, most of us live by the maxim: "Don't touch what you don't understand!!" sort of mentality. I know there is an operations manual, but watching a video like yours, helps to clarify indistinct information, or what isn't even printed. Thanks again, Glen.
I have a 2018 Xtrail TI and was wondering is there a set up so that I can see Text messages displayed onto the screen instead of looking down at your iphone. When your iphone is paired and your listening your music, i have noticed when connecting another iphone to charge, your music is disconnected.

Just bought a 2013 Acenta CVT and cant even change the clock time which is currently one hour behind BST. I alter it on screen but it doesn't actually change. Should the time appear on the centre screen, currently I only see it in a tiny screen to the right of the steering wheel that also shows miles travelled. The manual is no help whatsoever...so frustrating, any advice welcome and thankyou. !

+DOK I never tried the phone features of the car. I love the satnav..very reliable especially traffic updates; usb-bluetooth connection for my mp3 music on my mobile phone and most of all the driving experience. I drove to London a couple of months ago..really, really nice.

I agree with the USB connection, I have 128gb memory stick plugged in and folders for the wife,kids and myself for different tastes :-) Very comfortable ride on long journeys and no leg pains after 4 hour drive. Parking is great with 360 and sensors. But the connect system with the phone is really getting to me because it's a feature I need. Thanks again.
Hi, I have a question about the apps. I have a 2015 Xtrail. My phone is connected via bluetooth and streams music fine and also phones and links with the phonebook fine..... But when I want to open apps like google search on the infotainment system it says "no smartphone connected" .. How can I fix this ?

does anyone knowa fix for the system getting locked after a while?does not response at all. It works like 15/20 min and it stops working. Also i do not have sd card atm as i am waiting for it to be posted by the garage. Any help would be appriciated. thank you
I have 2018 Connecta QQ and so far I didnt manage to connect any Nissan app to the car! It is so frustrating. I can see on the video everything works fine. Did you install any app on the phone to have send-to-car and other car apps working? Please advice.
At the beginning of the video, it starts with the "map screen". In the bottom left hand there is a "menu button". I'm in the market to buy a Nissan Altima . When I test drove one there 3 or 4 more similar buttons, two were a + and a -. I think they may have been radio controls. Tried everything to "hide them" no luck. Asked the sales person no luck. Very irritating as they cover the upcoming street names.

Hey... I have an Altima 2014 which I drive in Brazil. Right now I am using the same version that came with it when I bought from nissan, which is 'connect 2 2012 - ARG/BRA v12'. I would like to update my navigation system, do you have any idea where I could get a newer map version ? Thank you !!
Thank you for taking the time to put this video together, it is much appreciated. Would you mind expanding on your comment that a sub woofer can be used to boost the quality of the audio? How would you connect it and what model of sub would be best? Thanks again Richard
I used the Pioneer TS-WX110A model active sub-woofer. 1. You can easily tap into the rear speaker sound feed wires by simply lifting up the front doors bottom sill panels, they click back on without a fuss. 2. the wires on the left bottom sill under panel of the car are: Red + and white - , on the right they are grey + and light green - 3. The above named color coded speaker wires are located with a bunch of other wires but they are the only 2 wires twisted slightly around each other red/white, Grey/light green. 4. You can tap into the 12V power supply in the armrest compartment and get access to the wires supplying it, just pull out the vertical panel facing the back seats at the back of the arm rest pillar, it comes off easy and clicks back on. 5. The wires supplying the 12V socket are Blue + and black - 6 the pioneer sub-woofer mentioned above fits discreetly into a depressed space under the left front seat , in this position it also gives extra tummy shake effect by sending vibrations up through the backside of anyone sitting there....this can be a pleasant surprise :-)
Dejligt video :) You could have showed the hidden menu to check the battery voltage :D (rotate the right knob left and right 3 times while holding the setup button down)
Hi i have just bought the same car but having problems with the DAB radio when it's tuning say's can not connect any ideas also when you click on DAB list of channels had alot like 70's 80's 90's etc but now only showing 90's after my son did a factory re-set.Much appreciated if you could help me .
Many thanks for your video, most interesting. My 2014 Micro Sat Nav has always worked perfectly until now. Now it says...insert software disc, which is already there. So I bought a new up to date software, Same result. Any idea how i may over come this problem? Many thanks

I would like to understand if there is possibility to make voice search from contact list. I believe this is a weak point and there is an important need while you are driving.
Hi thanks for this video. I have an issue with my qashqai. I can connect it fine to my iPhone via Bluetooth. However it won’t play my music from my phone when I go into “Aux” it won’t show my music from my phone and will only play it once connected with a usb cable. How can set up wireless audio streaming? Har du nogle erfaringer med dette? Er der en pinkode, når man har taget strømmen på bilen og skal den forbi en forhandler og kobles til Can bus? Ved godt det måske er lidt udenfor dit område, men nu prøver jeg alligevel :)
Hvad er Connect 2 ? Jeg har en QASHQAI Accenta Connect Benzin 7/2014, men jeg har lidt svært ved indstillinger, jeg har også Smartphone koblet til, men ved meget lidt om betjening ;-)
@@paulmouton64 No I wasn't able to figure this out and I was told to update it through the dealership and I don't want to pay for the update. The manufacturer should offer a free update for at at least 10 years.
Is really shame that Nissan switches off nissan connect options like Google Facebook trip advisor in nissan x trail for cars 2014 - 2017 from April 2020. Absolutely disappointed!!! And they do not inform a potential customer about this change...
I agree with you, Nissan har limited the potential of this multitouch display and this will cost them dearly. Imagine the possibilities if it ran on ordinary open source Android IOS.

Hvis din bil er fra 2014 med navigation pakken er den sikkert også Connect 2 versionen. :-)

I am not sure if there is mine is still running the original software from 2014.
Mine is 2014 and still running too. However it happens to not find some addresses. That's why I asked about the update.

If your using the SD card you can buy updates from amazon or eBay for a fraction of what the dealer costs

Nice video. But you didn't try to pair your phone, which is annoying work. Connect is useless, without Bluetooth.
