Lovely video! Love to see more Class 73's in action. But one question. Was that a fan trip with that 73? Also, love seeing the 47's in various aspects of the job! And that 33 was the icing on the cake! Thanks, and Happy New Year!
@@ONEFATE9 It was the name of a railway engineering workshop, it was having an open day weekend and the class 73+EMU ran a shuttle service from Ashford Station to & from the works.....
Crompton's weren't booked traction by then but were used to help out when class 47s were unavailable......indeed, one worked on the last day of WoE loco hauled operations in 1993.....
OMG, Ashford as i remember it! Spent hours trainspotting there as a kid in the early 70's.
Great stuff. To see the Scotrail locos down south. 714 is now at Wensleydale back to life for her soon
Those images of Ashford were before the modernisation for HS1 when the station was renamed ‘Ashford International’.
It's back to Ashford. No more international services 😂

Excellent video, especially of that Crompton. I’m guessing it wasn’t a regular on the WOE diagrams in 1992?
