  • There are a number of wonderful Oklahoma state parks and one of our favorite Oklahoma state parks is Lake Murray State Park.
Constructed by the CCC and WPA in the 1930's and 40's this Oklahoma state parks is quite impressive! Lake Murray is one of the clearest lakes in the Oklahoma state parks system so fishing is fantastic and water activities in the summer abound. There truly is something for everyone at this great Oklahoma state parks!
Located in south central OK just south of Ardmore, Lake Murray is convenient to the DFW area as well as the Oklahoma City area. Thanks to the cabins and lodge you dont have to worry about roughing it on your visit to Lake Murray! You can even rent a floating cabin at Lake Murray!
Come along with me as I explore this wonderful Oklahoma state parks!

You are right about the chapel. It was built in 1968. You are also right about Lake Murray being one of the best places a family could spend their time.

Thank you for sharing the video tours of the state parks. It is so helpful when we're wanting to pick a rv camp site.

At rock tower they have added more. Campsite with water access because there’s not much water access at those sites.

So did mine. He had a dump truck he worked for the WPA. It's incredible what these people did in only 4 years.

I'm not certain (yet), , but I m thinkin' that over the years you have amassed the most extensive, ( and informative),library of reviews/ tours of any private video journalist of state parks and COE camp grounds on u-tube.
    With that being said.
Let's go see some more stuff.

    • @DudeRV

More stuff on the way! When I started filming campgrounds I intended on creating the most extensive video library of public campgrounds in Texas and surrounding states. I still have a long way to go and your support is most appreciated!

You are right . They have field dog competitions out there for bird dogs. Not sure how often though. There is also a remote control airfield further up that road. They also filmed a motorcycle movie out that direction.
    Fast Charlie the moonbeam rider.

Fast Charlie the moonbeam rider! Sounds like a crazy movie! LOL! It was a long empty road back to the RC air field! Thanks for sharing what you know and thanks a whole bunch for watching!

What time of the year was this ? You dont seem to be sweating. I have been there several times but was in fall/winter and always seem to be cold and rainy.
