Hey Raychel! I'm so glad you liked that one! When I was reading it, I was like, "Woah, this story is incredible!" I agree! Let's find more of those!! : )
You do a great job in the emotional scenes, like for real. When you get into that persona, I’m just blown away that the actual events aren’t happening to you
@@LighthouseHorror absolutely man! I’m new to the channel and I will absolutely be listening more in the future. The parts where there aren’t emotional could be slightly better, but the parts with emotion are so far above what most other creepypasta/scary story narrators are capable of. You should have at least 100,000 subscribers no doubt about it
I like to think that whoever's stories these are, that maybe this really did happen to them 🤔 especially the ones about the same town, cant recall the name of the town though
My guess so far The train is some living entity that serves as a form of interdimensional travel for those who know how it works. And it sustains itself on freeriders, foreign bodies and likely on whatever the price of the tickets actually it (likely lifetime) The engineers, conductors and intercom are likely just an extension of the train itself. Like limbs. The red passangers are some sort of alien civilisation who have somehow learned exactly how the train functions and use it regularly without any danger. The shimmering creatures are some sort of parasitic organism that blend in as passangers to ether feed off the train itself or the red passengers (as the train itself seemed agitated by them and some followed the red passangers out at their station) its likely they do both. They are so numerous in the train that they are capable of maintaining a solid population in the train despite members of them getting semi regularly thrown off the train.
Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you put into narrating this story. It's such a big undertaking to do these long ones and I really appreciate it. It's a great story too and I wonder now what other stories the author has written. Long or short, keep them coming!
Your voice is one of my favorites; I especially like the way you lift some of the end of your sentences. I'm wondering if that's natural or something you've picked up along the way. Thank you for putting in the time and effort in narrating, entertaining me, and helping me sleep.
Hey thank you Brook. Hmm not sure. My voice teacher Sally said I have a different way of speaking. I remember her pausing and looking at me one day and saying something along the lines of "The way you read is different, but I don't think I want to change it." Lol it was actually very encouraging.
@@LighthouseHorror I know this is an old comment, but that small lilt in the end of your sentences is one of the reasons I prefer your reading style. You have a very good pitch for your general reading, not too low and not too high. Definitely a unique style, though!
It better be... I'm sitting here 45mins in wondering if I wasted my time. All these comments praising the author have me questioning if I know what I'm talking about, or If no one in the comment section ever read a book before lol
@@khurley7654 Considering "these stories" are usually in the creepypasta genre, it wouldn't really be fair to compare them to published books (where there is typically several people working to make the book enjoyable for readers, compared to the single or maybe two people in regular creepypasta postings). In addition to that, in general, certain "types" of people come to these channels to listen. It might just not be your thing. I'm sure there's a Creator out there that does stories you would enjoy. I think patronizing people due to your own personal preference is immature, though. There are many well-read comments here where it's obvious some of the commenters take A LOT of time to enhance their reading and writing skills.
I've listened to dozens of horror stories over the years; this one is by far the best one I've ever listened to. I thought that since that one of the women kicked out an engineer from the train, she was going to be turned into one as a replacement by the others, that would’ve been interesting.
Wow what a story 😲😲😲 it's the kind of fear that creeps up on you. No jumpscares no sudden problems. Yet completely terrifying. The flow of the story is everything. The pacing and all are just perfect. Love it. Although I am left with so many questions How could the junkie see him?! What is the train?!!!! Etc etc But I guess that's the point !!!
I've never understood him questioning the price for a ticket, the time owed for the ticket is both the time spent on the train and therefore time off his life
I know. But I guess it was a Hail Mary. He was desperate. A year on the train is better than eternity. But if the price was his soul that's too much. He'd be better off jumping off or something. Or leaving with the guy he met.
Great creepy pasta , I didn't even know it was 2hr until it end . I really enjoyed this . Lots of love for the narrator and the writer , that was wholesome😁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is probably my all time fav story you have done, I have it on my playlist every night. The story immediately catches your attention and keeps it throughout the entire story. It’s so detailed you have no choice but to visualize everything that’s going on. This would make en epic movie. So much I don’t understand, so much I do. The voice of the old man is so amazing even though it’s not too different than your normal voice, but completely different too. Love love love this story, and the music at the end *chefs kiss*

Dude the story was awesome. But the music you played at the end was perfect!! 💞💞 So many of these stories have depressing endings. It's wonderful to find one that doesn't make me feel sad at the end.
Great story. Just one thing; he still has to reckon with the one year and five months (I think it was five months?) Since it wasn't his time left on the train it could mean out of his life, it could mean slave labor, it could mean anything. Something to keep him awake on cold, windy nights.
I don't write comments very often, but I felt I had to after listening to this. I just really wanted to say how much I really liked this story. I also wanted to say that I truly appreciate all the hard work and time that you put into these narrations. The love that you have for your craft shines through and brings these stories to life. I have pretty severe anxiety and depression. Reading and writing used to be an escape for me when I needed it, as well as something I really enjoyed. For a while it has been difficult for me to get into those things or other creative outlets. These narrations and some others have allowed me a new escape into the fictional or even nonfictional worlds that I love so much. So I apologize for the bit of a rant. I just wanted to say thank you and explain a bit of how much these narrations mean to me. I can be a bit of a sap. You have a wonderful gift. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Yep. First he confronts the junkie and keeps hassling him over a dumb ticket. Then he keeps talking to the red people and the scared lady. I hate bureucracy. He could gave turned and left the junkie alone and thought it doesn't matter. The train was empty and his life is not worth a ticket check. He's not a cop.
I figured a little bit of the story out, but some parts still confuse me, I can't figure out the voluntarily riders like the old man and female from the group. There are other parts that are confusing, I got the recycling aspect and I think I know what the red people are. The story was interesting, sublime, surreal, and I would view as a sci- fantasy short story.

Great story, sublime narration Lighthouse, just superb 🚄🚉🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I am SO glad you liked this one!! I spend all night on this, drinking coffee and not sleeping at all. But your comment makes it totally worthwhile. Thank you so much for all the kind words and support Itallia! -LH
@@LighthouseHorror you are most welcome & you deserved all the praise because of the great acting involved in your presentation of this story.
Its funny but all the way though the story i pictured the train conductor as Tom Hanks probably because of his narration & animated image in the Christmas Express or was it Yuletide Express? Ah well you probably know the animation film i mean.
I pictured Tom at the age of around 40.
He would have made a great conductor if this story was made into a film
I always "see" the film in my mind when the narrator really brings it to life as you did in this story
(Itallia is my daughters user name which i use but im Elvira Snorhorse courtesy of my scandinavian grandparents, no one would take a user name like that seriously! Lolol its why i use my daughters 😆)
If you could just do everyone a favor and not ruin the ending next time, im 3/4 through the story😂😂
@@WaleedWahidi im so sorry, i was just so impressed with this story i forgot about other people & that was very selfish of me.
Please accept my apology & reminding me to keep my comments away from aspects of any story that could spoil it for others. I mean that in a sincere way. My only excuse is that i rarely read comments before i listen. I never rely on others views as i might not listen to something i would enjoy because of their negative comment.
Enjoy the story, i hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
Thank you for yr constructive criticism 😁.

"No ticket...."
Lol, a la Indiana Jones! That's awesome.😂😂
Wow...
This has got to be the best story I've heard thus far. I was gripping my phone the entire 2 hrs, hanging on the every word, every emotion.
Love this channel!
Find more like this!!!
Hey Raychel! I'm so glad you liked that one! When I was reading it, I was like, "Woah, this story is incredible!" I agree! Let's find more of those!! : )
I know I try listening to it while attempting to fall asleep like usual. But I had to break it into a few parts because I was gripped into the story.
I keep coming back to this story. It’s such a good analogy for the immune system. Narrated, as always, fantastically by the amazing Lighthouse Horror.
I think about it all the time
You do a great job in the emotional scenes, like for real. When you get into that persona, I’m just blown away that the actual events aren’t happening to you
What an awesome compliment Jason. I really appreciate that!
@@LighthouseHorror absolutely man! I’m new to the channel and I will absolutely be listening more in the future. The parts where there aren’t emotional could be slightly better, but the parts with emotion are so far above what most other creepypasta/scary story narrators are capable of. You should have at least 100,000 subscribers no doubt about it
@@jasonbernard9012 I appreciate that Jason! And welcome to the channel!
I like to think that whoever's stories these are, that maybe this really did happen to them 🤔 especially the ones about the same town, cant recall the name of the town though
My guess so far
The train is some living entity that serves as a form of interdimensional travel for those who know how it works. And it sustains itself on freeriders, foreign bodies and likely on whatever the price of the tickets actually it (likely lifetime)
The engineers, conductors and intercom are likely just an extension of the train itself.
Love your comment. I like that this story didn't give everything away and we have to try to put the pieces together
@@LighthouseHorror exactly!
Absolutely adore these long bizzare and mysterious stories!
That makes sense...
It's a circulatory system red and white blood cells.
This was absolutely amazing. I didn’t even realise it was over 2 hours until I was at the end!! Well done Lighthouse!!!
Thanks Dollie!! I'm so glad you enjoyed that one!
Me too lol 😂
I just finished the story, and didn’t even realize it was 2 hours until this comment made me check lol
17:13 "I've put my trust in you, woman. My life is in your hands!" My first thought as a baby, coincidentally.
Ah, you remember?
This would be a great concept for a point & click adventure imo
I'm kind of amazed at how much this man insists on talking after being warned over and over to stay quiet.
Good thing he did though, because if he wasn’t curious, he would’ve never escaped… 😅
That ending is so wholesome 😭😭

Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you put into narrating this story. It's such a big undertaking to do these long ones and I really appreciate it. It's a great story too and I wonder now what other stories the author has written. Long or short, keep them coming!
My pleasure Johannah! Thank you for listening
This is definitely one of my favourites so far from you. It shrieks creativity and an incredibly satisfying ending.
One of the best ones Ive listened to. It didnt end with a ‘‘Bad Ending‘‘ like how others are but it feels right. Wonderful!
This story is so epic!!! You're one of the best narrators on TH-cam!
Aww thank you so much Nneka!! Happy almost New Year!!
That's exactly how I felt about it the first time I heard you read. Unique and capturing for sure!
@@LighthouseHorror
I know this is an old comment, but that small lilt in the end of your sentences is one of the reasons I prefer your reading style. You have a very good pitch for your general reading, not too low and not too high. Definitely a unique style, though!
Legitimately the best ending to any of these stories I have ever heard.
It better be... I'm sitting here 45mins in wondering if I wasted my time. All these comments praising the author have me questioning if I know what I'm talking about, or If no one in the comment section ever read a book before lol
@@khurley7654
Considering "these stories" are usually in the creepypasta genre, it wouldn't really be fair to compare them to published books (where there is typically several people working to make the book enjoyable for readers, compared to the single or maybe two people in regular creepypasta postings).
I'm honestly at a loss for words upon finishing listening to this, but I can say this at least: there will scarcely be another story that can top this one, and good god your narration skills are absolutely exceptional, (you'd make one hell of a Dungeon Master in D&D).
lowkey cried at the end. It's rare to have a good ending in those type of story lol
Your voice acting made it even more emotional, it was great!! Thank you for this video!
Makes me think twice about train rides now. ;-)
Great job by both the author and the narrator. Excellent narration. Glad I stopped in today.
Thanks Joseph!
Do you go fare dodging often then? 😂
There is a Norse Rune (Raido) that means Journey (an R made with a triangle)...that's all I can come up with. Loved the story. You are such a natural storyteller, great as usual, Thank you! xx
Sometimes, people dont have sense of self preservation and let their curiosity gets the best of them.
That’s ironic, considering it was his curiosity that got him out of the train in the first place 💀💀💀
Absolutely fantastic story by Darkly_gathers magnificently narrated by Lighthouse Horror!! What an amazingly awesome journey delivered with such terrific, at times horrific brilliance!! Thank you both so very much!!

Not only do we get an awesome train story, its over 2 hours long!! HELL YES!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! SO MUCH LOVE TO YOU SIR
My pleasure!! Much love back at you!
Seconded!
Holy crap! This Seriously Needs To Be Made Into A Movie.! I would go and watch. That was an awesome story
Glad you liked it - I loved that one too!
Love it. Although I am left with so many questions
How could the junkie see him?!
What is the train?!!!!
Etc etc
But I guess that's the point !!!
I've never understood him questioning the price for a ticket, the time owed for the ticket is both the time spent on the train and therefore time off his life
I dont understand it either considering it was 11 months, but the price was 1 year and a month
@@illeatthat yeah... it's weird. I'd love a sequel.
I know. But I guess it was a Hail Mary. He was desperate. A year on the train is better than eternity. But if the price was his soul that's too much. He'd be better off jumping off or something. Or leaving with the guy he met.
I’m truly loving these longer series. Thanks for this story. Gonna enjoy some coffee and get into it 😁
Great creepy pasta , I didn't even know it was 2hr until it end . I really enjoyed this . Lots of love for the narrator and the writer , that was wholesome😁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm not ashamed that I cried in the end. That was wholesome ASF!
This was an incredible story. Thank you both (LH and author) for sharing with us. Means more than you know, and it was entertaining!
I played this so I could have something to sleep too. Instead, I'm wide awake and listening to the story. I love your way of narrating.
I was just watching Snowpiercer last night an the feel of this meshed with that for me.
This is really innovative and fun, and trains will always, always, ALWAYS be a little spooky. Well written and well done!!
LH- I have been listening to your story work for about 3 months now, I have to say I absolutely love your longer stories because I put on my Bluetooth ear buds and that's when I get an extraordinary amount of work done in and outside my house even tho I find myself occasionally looking behind my shoulder at times☺ I am addicted to listening to 8 hours of many of your pieces one right after another, waiting for the next story! Thank you LH for telling me this story of an 11 month bloody train ride that I truly enjoyed as I prepared my dishes as host for Thanksgiving Feast tomorrow at my home, no train ride or ticket necessary for this one on 11/25/2021.👍
Woo-woo! That was epic, the real Soul Train. All the more intriguing cuz he never got to the front or an explanation of the origin of the vehicle. Like a cosmic oopsie. Wonder what he's in for now that the training is over?
Glad you liked it Rod!! I agree completely, I think the fact that he never got a full explanation made the story even better. I would LOVE to see this one continued. Thanks for the comment!
One of the better train stories, i appload the author as well as the narrator; great job.
Thanks Blue!
Dude the story was awesome.
But the music you played at the end was perfect!! 💞💞
So many of these stories have depressing endings.
I had a theory that it was time he or his daughter had left to live...
same thought. i was searching the comment section to see if anyone talks about this
Very good. Minor point about the ending though, the daughter instantly says "Dad?" When he's phoned her from a stranger's phone.
Maybe the daughter went crazy after her dad disappeared for 11 months 💀💀💀
Hollywood is missing out on good stories like this
Fr. Mike Flanagan hired a nosleep writer though. But so many stories go unnoticed.
Man, even the train conductor is tired in the script 🤣🤣
This is such a great story, I've involved in it so much that I actually feel all the emotions that every character in this story. Needless to say I really want to go on a journey like this. I want to see that world.

Just binging trough all of the videos posted on this channel. Narration is outstanding, as always, it matches the tone of the story perfectly. And for the story itself, well, this might be my single favorite horror story I had a pleasure to listen to in my entire life.

I put this on for a nap and had a wild dream about a train. 10/10
Was it a haunted train?
@@LighthouseHorror not quite, but it did seem to be slightly magical. It teleported my friend who had our tickets to the front of the train and I had to be like "my friend has our tickets and they just disappeared?"
Also JK Rowling was giving out hugs to children.
I don't know how these stories popped up on my TH-cam feed, but I'm so happy they did. I love these stories! Keep them coming. I'm a new subscriber and fan!💖☠💀🍻
The conductor was pissing me off! 🤬
The red ones are recycled. The train is a multidimensional being. I have more theories if you wanna hear them
I really loved this story, thank you so much!
my pleasure to narrate it! Thanks for the kind words Kristen
