I have a 2021 Yamaha Kodiak 450 EPS Special edition. It’s so nice I love every about mine. I got a steal on mine payed 4200 and it had 10 hrs and 56 miles. There is no way in hell I would let my atv ever looks like this. There damn good quads it’s not that hard to take care of your stuff wash it right away if it gets muddy and keep it out of the elements and serviced it when needed.
Mud holes are rough on everything. There are guys out there running these with no issues for years because they do not run them under water in deep mud holes.
I was originally going to get a kodiak 450 but the dealer I went to never ordered it for me so I ended up getting a Rancher 420. I have absolutely zero complaints about it. Things a tank
Needa get yourself a new model. 2018 don't seem to be cutting it for you. I have 4 2021 models and they all run just fine with around 1100 to 1200 miles on em. All factory parts still going strong to this day a year later.
Looks like it's been beat. Don't think most people will abuse it that bad. Yamaha has the best belt drive on the market. One can get the 700 plain machine for about another 1,300. Heavier duty built for abuse. Money well spent. Way more fun than the Honda. ;)
I’m planning on getting a brand new Kodiak 450 when I get a truck I’m surprised that Kodiak has taken abuse Yamaha makes a very good atv the reason why the diffs are leaking and all the Kodiaks you guys had they had problems because you guys abused them if you don’t abuse them they won’t have any problems they aren’t Hondas I had a 06 rubicon and it was complete and utter junk the engine had no start in gear it was extremely cold blooded it had no power the gear lever was extremely finicky it stalled every time it got stuck and every time it stalled it got harder to start until it wouldn’t start at all the seat was hard as a rock the suspension didn’t compress at all when it was moving so if I was driving it around my neighborhood if I hit a crack in the road it would bunny hop up in the air it was junk the new rubicons are much better but they are very overpriced the Kodiak or any Yamaha in for that matter if you don’t abuse them they won’t have any problems including leaks anywhere I will play in the mud with mine when I get it but not any really deep water holes it will be used for some work around the house one other atv I’m thinking about getting too is the rancher 420 irs dct it’s affordable too and it’s got some power too I love the Kodiak but I also like the new rancher 420 irs dct witch one do you think I should get they are both good I’m just undecided right now
I’ve had both rancher and Kodiak still have this Kodiak both are good. This kodiak just broke the drive shaft after tons more abuse but there’s things like wheel bearings that my honda needed early on and the kodiaks are still fine. So both great machines kodiak will save you some money being slightly cheaper in price. I like the Honda better ground clearance but Kodiak has enough most of the time.

When you treat mechanical items like a hammer they break

I just refuse to abuse something that i spend my hard earned money on. If I buy something, i want it to last!
If I spend my hard on money on it I want it have fun with it, if it can’t handle some abuse oh well

I got a 2001 400 Kodiak that runs like a champ. Reliable, no issues other than regular maintenance.
The old Yamahas were great
2006 honda foreman Rubicon 500. 6600 miles with regular maintenance. We use it everyday in our ranch pulling logs and trailer.
Lmao. Complaining about that? That thing hasn’t been taken care of at all. I can’t believe people treat their shit like that.
You miss the part where I say my Hondas have seen worse and my old Yamahas
I driven lots of grizzly’s and kodiaks there amazing machines
Yes they are. This one’s just wore out
Honestly think if your wanting a four wheeler that halls ass for a 450 this is it but if your wantin a mud bike, Honda
HARD TO BELIEVE IT STILL RUNS. TRYING TO DESTROY IT. GOOD THING ITS A YAMAHA!
You should get on a newer grizzly 700. You’ll change ur mind about Honda
Oh here we are. I have a new grizzly. Wait until I make my video. It might shock you
Now i know how to abuse my new kodiak.
Have one of these bikes abuse it worse then u do no issues key word I also maintain it
Blew up at 120 miles mines at 1014 and runs like new
My 4 have similar miles on them around 1100 to 1200 and I couldn't of asked for better machines. They all run like new as well.
@@admillion3312 I’m gone need a motor in the next few years bc mines got a little tick
I've same model same year, will be on its 3rd fuel pump ,only 660 miles! Not impressed.

Have you been able to pop a wheelie with your DCT rubicon?
Yeah
Zero maintenance, lot of abusing, and no shortage of stupidity. Do you need to brake your arm, leg or something???
Stupid? All I did was equally abuse 3-4 Hondas and 2-3 of the Kodiak 450’s and never had a issue with a Honda. Kodiak was one thing after another.
What wheels do you have on that Rubicon?
Itp hurricane 12” with 27” Itp mudlite 2’s
Does it still run in 2023?
Yes no issues haven’t changed anything besides broke the rear driveshaft.
I have an “01 Kodiak in better shape than that. And she’s not leaking!! He’ll be lucky if he doesn’t kill himself on that machine
I’ve got a video of him being cocky and then proceeded to roll it😂
And yes. This machine has been very abused
idk how to tell you this boss but this aint 4K
I recorded it in 4k but I realize now I edit and saved in 720p
@@JacobOverman good try lol =P

To say Yamaha quality/durability is bad.... nah. Not even close lol
Not good anymore. I’ve had good Yamahas. Don’t be in denial lol
