Sniper rifles generally have the longest potential zero of ~1000-1200M range (I think, haven't played since playtests ended), plus they get the most use out if it, but all weapons can be zeroed. Zeroing effectively means your weapon will fire at an upwards angle so the bullet will hit your crosshair at the designated distance.

Long range sniping is the most fun it's been since BF4. Back in that game getting 3000-4000 point chains was a pretty impressive feat. But in BattleBit I already have a 7000 point chain at long range and multiple 6000 chains haha
Sniping is a blast, but I agree that long range scopes are almost useless right now since the glint makes you an easy target. They should reduce the glint from some of the weaker scopes as well as tie zeroing distance to the scopes so that if you want a point and click adventure at 1000 meters you need a scope made for that sort of thing, not an acog with 2.5x zoom.
Love that you used our bet 40x scope shot as a clip, really shows you how shots like these are easily obtained with a combination of the games simple to use range finder/ range settings and great skill
I think battlebit is distinguishing the roles of designated marksmen between the long range recon snipers, one is a role better suited for close to medium range accurate fire and the other is reconnaissance as well long range sniping which is why they're balancing the glint against the kinetics, but I believe they could balance this by adding a glint to the 4x, but that would not sit well for the ARs with the same attachments. It's a weird conundrum that we're stuck in.
it would be better to just add a random deviation cone to the shots based on a diameter around the middle of the scope (i think like 1% of the sope diameter or something like that). that would make it so that actual long range scopes are more accurate and it would make the 1k+m mid range scope kills way harder because on distances like that you have a diviation of a few meters instead of just hitting exactly below of where you aimed because of the predictive bullet drop.
I believe I heard or read somewhere too that the limited resources needed to run and render everything allows them to extend the view/rendering distance essentially allowing full ballistic/projectile travel. Vs say Battlefield 2042 where you often have rounds just disappearing after some distance.
Sniping in Battlebit is so satisfying, and I love how the devs award players for sniping at longer distances, not only with the marksman bonus, but also with the increased damage over range. It's a good time, and I'm looking forward to seeing some sniper gameplay here
@dangtrungkien4999 Well yeah typically you won't be sniping anyone from over 800 meters away, but it's nice that the devs reward long distance shots rather than having a really good shot only be a hitmarker. So when you were sniping on Basra, you can snipe from the airport tower on spawn for about 1600 to A. If you have the rope you can get on the roof of it and make some barricades for cover. Also what you mean no one uses high magnification scopes, you don't get the full satisfaction of a 2000m snipe if you can't see the bullet impact the dude's forehead. No genuinely, for my longest snipe (2007m) I had to use the 40x just to see where my bullets were landing so I could adjust the drop.
I only snipe from time to time and like that you get rewarded with more points for long distance shots, but what I really love is that you get 400 points for headshot kills no matter what weapon u use.
I watched your other BB sniping video so wanted to give it a try. A few hours in i hit a 1052m headshot with the scope youre using in this game. I was buzzing! Bouncing up and down in my chair with the gf looking at me stupid haha. Love it
When you start shooting around like 1500m on some of these maps. I think people start using long range scopes again. It's just not viable if you don't. However, people haven't gotten smart enough yet to spec into binoculars. The sweet spot for the med range scope is that 1000m range imo. There is absolutely no reason to use a long range scope at 1000m For people who think they wouldn't have sniper fights around or over 1500m. Some of these maps you can have sniper fights from the respective spawns at like 3000m. On a few maps, the normal sniping range is above 2k
I think the medium scopes should show off a glint the further the player is away. Like if you're 100m away with a high range scope then it should be clear glint, whereas a medium scope no glint, but then at say 400m the medium scopes show off a decent amount of glint as well. That way it forces you to pick a scope for your playstyle, do you go medium range so you can still deal with people somewhat close, but not be able to be completely invisible in your spawn, or do you go a long range scope cause they're gonna be able to see you anyway, might as well make it easier to see them.
If I recall correctly, the fact that high caliber shots of sniper rifles (I.e. 50bmg) actually are more damaging after having traveled quite some distance, because the bullet starts tumbling and impacts the target almost sideways, creating a bigger hole. On soft targets, armored targets are safer the further they are
DMR's overall are ass until you can reliably 2 tap with them. So either hit your headshots or slowly grind out the attachments cheesing everything and anything you can. For example pixel shots through barricades that make it harder for enemies to shoot back.
@@Krymms they're good supressed, acog + red dot (on top) or x6 with red dot (on top). i've learned their good if you don't go for headshots. i spam at chest height and people are dropping. they think i'm going to line up a shot and not spam center mass. this is with the mk20 btw (worst dmr) they do need some buffs tho. but don't aim for the head. the worst thing is that you need so many kills to make them worth it.
Ima definitely get this game. I don’t even play shooter games but this actually looks fun. Plus the creators of the game are some kool guys & I love supporting ppl that make good games for real gamers & not just greed.
teh main problem with sniping is that the bullets always fly true on the middle line of your scope. you have no left and right deviation at all. so you can use a mid range scope that should only be accurate below 500 meters to do 1700 meter kills. it is one way of how they could nerve snipers and make them a bit more realistic. and to be clear i don't mean gigantic deviations like in other games but just that the bullet can hit anywhere of what the middle 2-5 mm diameter of the scope shows (obviously needs testing and balancing). on distance it could make a difference of multiple meters and it would make it way harder to lens glare shoot someone across the map without even seeing him. it would also make long range scopes better because their 2-5 mm diameter shows way less terrain than the mid range scopes and thus it makes them way more accurate on distances.
The glint mechanic needs some reworking as its too bright and obvious atm. It even clips through objects. It also shows up to a lot more people than just the one that is being aimed at. Makes all long range scopes useless.
I used to love long range sniping on bf3 and operation flashpoint. I think the devs of this game could do something fun and make a map of a valley where all the flags are at the base at the bottom Would be awesome with everyone sniping on the hills and then the people at objectives cqb
I think its balanced , the most ridiculous moments that I had is if you watch trough a window or peek for the first time & get sprayed like they would only wait for you. Its much more annoying than being killed by a sniper in my book. It's quiet difficult sometimes when you get oneshotted by most people for only watching 1cm out :D , if they nerf the Damage of the Weapons over range a bit than it would be good to go on snipers but at that take if p90 can kill people over 100M than a Sniper should do it also :D
1 more thing you need to try with long range sniping is shooting the heli pilots base to base. Its actually lat easier then you guys think. I got one in my first try its on shorts if you wanna check
I’m not sure if being told your shot was denied by a server packet loss is better than just thinking you missed a shot, I’d rather be mad at myself than the game but I guess it’s a good thing 😂
Using the first sniper you get in the game, 20x scope, and calibrating the scope to 500m ( max you can set it to ), furthest I've managed to hit was 1350m head shot
Hopefully the developers don’t take it from content creators and balance things, I mean it’s like developing a game and saying things are too overpowered because they’re watching Shroud, yet for the majority of the play base who are just normal gamers those things are more balanced, I feel like that’s where a lot of games fail especially Battlefield, trying to balance things too much that it feels boring and everything feels the same… like literally Battlefield 2042 every assault rifle feels the same except for the fire rate. Same with SMG’s and definitely snipers, this game promoting long range sniping is HUGE W
If you wouldn’t mind including the attachments you are using in the description or as a pinned comment I’m sure plenty of people (myself included) would find that very helpful!
For sure I’d like to know that too. I can say for sure he’s using the ranger barrel and the bolt type is C. The medium scope is kind of your preference wich one gives you better stats just play around with them
Imo, the glint needs a nerf. Medium range scopes pretty much do the same long range role, so the sniper role is still that shot you never knew coming. I think making it so that the glint only lasts for a moment when you turn your head into the direction the sniper is at, otherwise you'd need to scope in or binocs to permanently see the glint to make sniper vs sniper combat still viable. Medium range scopes don't get that perma glint viewing to nerf em.
sorry stod, i have to say something. stop saying Broken or what ever. this is a powerfull word as a content creator. this game in particular regarding sniping is perfect for casual laidback sniping and i dont want that to get nerfed in anyway.
On firestorm or whatever in bf3 I got my longest ever of 2300 not sure how the game measured in meters or feet but that’s the number I remember. I had to aim up outside my scopes view to actually hit the guy we were on dunes at opposite ends
Question your view bobbing seems better then mine when you are zoomed in and walking with a sniper or is it just coming off that way in the video that there is less? Asking cus if there Is a setting pls let me know
I see a lot of people comparing it to battlefield , and that it is better etc etc ... but I would like to see a battlefield today come out without raytracing , or without the latest generation graphics , it would be split in half the same way ... if we did not require it so much and we didn't criticize so much, maybe companies could do better what they propose

The shot for a sub was funny, also chat was hilarious when your mic died
16:48 i knew you killed me ffs
well at least i made it into a stodeh video
"don't rez me" proceeds to go on the wildest streak.
Even on my trash pc, I love this game - no one hassles me about sitting back and sniping in BattleBit.
There is absolutely no reason to use a long range scope at 1000m
For people who think they wouldn't have sniper fights around or over 1500m.
That way it forces you to pick a scope for your playstyle, do you go medium range so you can still deal with people somewhat close, but not be able to be completely invisible in your spawn, or do you go a long range scope cause they're gonna be able to see you anyway, might as well make it easier to see them.
i didnt know the damage increases over distance and i had a feeling you get more xp the longer the shot. that 1700m shot was insane btw
What attachments are you going with? Also which rifle are you using? Great vid!
I love that you’re rewarded for long shots with the sniper. Absolutely deserves the extra points.
If I recall correctly, the fact that high caliber shots of sniper rifles (I.e. 50bmg) actually are more damaging after having traveled quite some distance, because the bullet starts tumbling and impacts the target almost sideways, creating a bigger hole. On soft targets, armored targets are safer the further they are
Oh man..your aim is so good bro. Im learning to use scout and engineer right now and way far to unlook good scope
hey you should do a long range sniping guide. i'm having a hard time getting into position. also a dmr guide because at least the mk20 is cheeks
DMR's overall are ass until you can reliably 2 tap with them. So either hit your headshots or slowly grind out the attachments cheesing everything and anything you can. For example pixel shots through barricades that make it harder for enemies to shoot back.
@@Krymms they're good supressed, acog + red dot (on top) or x6 with red dot (on top).
i've learned their good if you don't go for headshots. i spam at chest height and people are dropping. they think i'm going to line up a shot and not spam center mass. this is with the mk20 btw (worst dmr)
they do need some buffs tho. but don't aim for the head. the worst thing is that you need so many kills to make them worth it.
@@wesleyblack8302 Not going for headshots kills your TTK and anyone decent will either hide or dump on you with an AR.
Honestly AR's are better DMRs lol
This man has the pedigree of master archers.
This is dirty sniping. I love it!
Ima definitely get this game. I don’t even play shooter games but this actually looks fun. Plus the creators of the game are some kool guys & I love supporting ppl that make good games for real gamers & not just greed.
Stodeh, the "hit was denied by a server packet loss" just means that the your client thought it got a hit but the server didn't agree.
teh main problem with sniping is that the bullets always fly true on the middle line of your scope. you have no left and right deviation at all. so you can use a mid range scope that should only be accurate below 500 meters to do 1700 meter kills. it is one way of how they could nerve snipers and make them a bit more realistic. and to be clear i don't mean gigantic deviations like in other games but just that the bullet can hit anywhere of what the middle 2-5 mm diameter of the scope shows (obviously needs testing and balancing). on distance it could make a difference of multiple meters and it would make it way harder to lens glare shoot someone across the map without even seeing him. it would also make long range scopes better because their 2-5 mm diameter shows way less terrain than the mid range scopes and thus it makes them way more accurate on distances.
Great fun. Great shooting.
Leveling faster than medic has to be the biggest cap I've heard in Battlebit
I have changed to medium scopes because of your vid, and you were right they are really usefull. You can hit 1km shots easy.
The glint mechanic needs some reworking as its too bright and obvious atm. It even clips through objects. It also shows up to a lot more people than just the one that is being aimed at. Makes all long range scopes useless.
I used to love long range sniping on bf3 and operation flashpoint.
I think the devs of this game could do something fun and make a map of a valley where all the flags are at the base at the bottom
Would be awesome with everyone sniping on the hills and then the people at objectives cqb
My guy, thought i was only person who remembered op flashpoint. Loved the gun play in that game.
@@gazk9424 Was unreal back in the day 😂👌
Bruh, i can't shoot a guy across the street and this dude snipes people by seeing 1 pixel move
7:14 glock goo brrrrr 😂
about the sniper setup, sure it's a nice game mechanics over there
Love love love long range l96 sniping
I think its balanced , the most ridiculous moments that I had is if you watch trough a window or peek for the first time & get sprayed like they would only wait for you. Its much more annoying than being killed by a sniper in my book. It's quiet difficult sometimes when you get oneshotted by most people for only watching 1cm out :D , if they nerf the Damage of the Weapons over range a bit than it would be good to go on snipers but at that take if p90 can kill people over 100M than a Sniper should do it also :D
These BB sniping vids have been amazing, keep ‘em coming! I wanna see some real degen spawn camping from a FOB 😂
The biggest enemies of a sniper are the enemy's snipers.
never wrong.
1 more thing you need to try with long range sniping is shooting the heli pilots base to base. Its actually lat easier then you guys think. I got one in my first try its on shorts if you wanna check
they need to add the BF1 sound effect for the headshots
this dude with a sniper is a legend
No way that first shot was legit. Jeeeeeeezzzz
I’m not sure if being told your shot was denied by a server packet loss is better than just thinking you missed a shot, I’d rather be mad at myself than the game but I guess it’s a good thing 😂
i see you're using the goat scope
Sniping in this game is so good.
Using the first sniper you get in the game, 20x scope, and calibrating the scope to 500m ( max you can set it to ), furthest I've managed to hit was 1350m head shot
What are you using on your rifle? I have the same weapon but I can't get my bullets to travel that far
Never did like long range sniping. I like running around in light armor with a sniper that has a medium range scope and Unica.
The medium scope is kind of your preference wich one gives you better stats just play around with them
Maybe a good buff for long range scopes would be to only have glint after 5 seconds of ads
Yea reminds me of delta force when 10 players camping with snipers everyone 10 kilometres from each other waiting for someone to move
sorry stod, i have to say something. stop saying Broken or what ever. this is a powerfull word as a content creator.
this game in particular regarding sniping is perfect for casual laidback sniping and i dont want that to get nerfed in anyway.
You are the reason I have half the maps blacklisted.
On firestorm or whatever in bf3 I got my longest ever of 2300 not sure how the game measured in meters or feet but that’s the number I remember. I had to aim up outside my scopes view to actually hit the guy we were on dunes at opposite ends
once you get the deagle you can 1shot headshot people lol, good sidearm for sniper
i prefer the km shots with a medium range scope, i can still see them with ease plus i dont get targeted by the 20 enemy snipers in turn.
Question your view bobbing seems better then mine when you are zoomed in and walking with a sniper or is it just coming off that way in the video that there is less? Asking cus if there Is a setting pls let me know
This game brings me memories of BF play4free.
what zeroing do you normally use? 50? 0?
I see a lot of people comparing it to battlefield , and that it is better etc etc ... but I would like to see a battlefield today come out without raytracing , or without the latest generation graphics , it would be split in half the same way ... if we did not require it so much and we didn't criticize so much, maybe companies could do better what they propose
You have surgeon stable hands, it's insane
