There is a fan continuity that's still active if you're interested in the Transformers TCG WotC made! We're 3 waves deep into new cards and have nearly exceeded official cards by volume! I highly recommend giving it a second look!
Nice review! The simplicity and accessibility is well done. Doesn't look quite like a winning formula just yet, but it's nice to have new TF stuff nevertheless.
I'm a little confused where the game is here? You make a deck with 30 strength but what do you do after scanning the first card in PvP, just sit back and watch? If that's the case it's a big pass from me and something to further make me sad that WotC binned of the trading card game during the pandemic :(
I guess the gameplay is kinda from upgrading the characters and such and then selecting the best team possible, but yeah, the action itself is basically an animation based on the stats
Very mixed cause while the tech is cool it's kinda it, i worry that the gameplay being so simple will lead to this game quickly dying from the inability to expand to tournaments
@@SixoTF I don't want my comment to discourage, I'm just worried this game isn't going to last personally I think they should try to expand into other IPS as a way to continue getting more people into the game
@@SixoTFPerhaps the most enjoyable part is playing with children? I think this is more like a parent-child game than just for adults. I can imagine the surprised expression on my children's faces when they see those Transformers fighting on the cards.
These are also my thoughts. There's not really a "game" to be played outside of putting your cards down and letting the little AR bots do their thing. Even past that, there's been a lot of these AR games with similar structures that have come and gone well before this. It almost feels like it's a product a few years too late to really get into the AR craze.
I started collecting them on Thursday as I wasn't going to as all my local games had sold out very fast of the large packs. I recently thought "eff it I'll buy some starter packs and boosters. I bought a starter pack on Thursday and 6 today with 10 booster packs. I now need 11 cards to complete the set and 1 is the Megatron that you see in the window of them bigger packs. Will be hard getting the final 11 cards as they are all harder to get by the looks of it. Thanks for the help explained it all
Wow that's design it's so heavy directly of Transformers Earth Wars designs 😁
I hope this TCG gets to spread its wings. I loved the last TCG we had and having it be discontinued hurts still.
Fingers crossed

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
OMG! I saw packs of these in Game two weeks ago, I had no idea what they were. I couldn't even find any videos or posts on them.
Yep, they've really kinda flown under the radar
This is pretty cool! If it could work with something like the Quest 3, I'd be all in.
That I definitely don't know about, haha! :)
Great video mate. Now I know what these are haha. They look pretty nice.
Haha thanks

This reminds me of the mobile game years ago "Transformers Legend"
I'd have to look that one up
@SixoTF it was fun and the artwork was amazing!

I'm far from an expert on that kinda thing, admittedly - it's keeping us entertained well enough at home for the moment though

@@bepisthescienceman4202 oh I didn’t take it as such - I thought it was a fair point based on my limited knowledge! :)

The in game models look to be taken from Transformers Earth Wars.
Noted!
They are reused by earth wars
