SAFETY BREAK on the Otis High-Speed Elevators - The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL

- Here's the Diplomat Resort in Hollywood Beach, consisting of two towers, in which both towers have the same exact elevators. As you can tell by the thumbnail and the title, I almost got stuck in one of them when the elevator safety broke (just like at that luxurious hotel in Chicago), and you'll end up hearing what the rare voice says when stuff like that happens. Also, towards the end, you'll get to hear the floor announcements by that particular voice.
MY THOUGHTS:
Yet another startling experience with the elevator safety breaking and stuff. Besides that, these run pretty fast for 36 floors, and I definitely like the rare voice on these things. Additionally, one of the cars in the North Tower says "Lobby level" instead of "Lobby floor" whenever it arrives at the lobby, which is even more rare!

Oh wow that elevator said that, "we are experiencing minor technical difficulties". At least it warned you. I would have nervous if that did that. I have been stuck four times.
Consider yourself lucky that the safety mechanism was able to correct itself to make the elevator continue to operate properly!

@@benjamintu3214 This voice is actually a prototype to the modern US voice. Despite this, it's more commonly heard in Australia (still rare in comparison to the US voice), and was thought to only occur there.
When I was in college, there was an elevator that would say this message *every single time* it stopped at the Mezzanine level going up! The doors would close, it'd wait about 5 seconds, say this, and then continue on.
The more interesting thing here is the voice, which is actually a rare prototype version of the modern US voice, and is more commonly heard in Australia with quite a few known installs there. This, however, is both the first occurence of her in the US as well as the highest rise one (I've previously only known them to go up to five levels with one horribly modernised example going to seven).
The voices were the original gen 2 voices but for some reason. otis replaced them
the only place i know that fully have the old gen2 voices, are the Elevators at Barnes Hospital Center for Advanced medicine in St. Louis MO
@@gradientgamer5480 Australia must have loved it when they did hear it, though, because it's far more common here than in her home country. I think both are the same voice actress, just with different recordings.

Hmmm... I can honestly say I've never heard an Otis voice say "Lobby Floor". "Lobby Level" seems to be the most common where I've been... but there's also the "sexy lady voice" that just says "laaaaahby".

Are these Gen2s? Gen2s have a lot of safety systems and usually stop abruptly when the slightest abnormality is detected. But these look too high to be Gen2.

Or, an Otis wouldn't usually accelerate this slowly so it was going overdrive to full speed (shouldn't have taken 15 floors to accelerate to 800fpm) and the governor trippefd the safety break at floor 16 when it passed 800fpm
From now on whenever I go on an Otis that accelerates slower than it should, I'm going to expect a safety break *(but I could be wrong)*
It depends on how it is set up.
This is the Vanity Voice it’s a variation and it sounds cool. This would be the mother voice and the Gen 2 would be the Grandma voice.
