0:00 More Choices Geralt Would NEVER Make
0:30 Succubus x Geralt (Skellige)
5:45 John Verdun (At the Mercy of Strangers)
9:43 The Extremely Hot Elf from Velen (Death by Fire)
11:25 The Hanging Baron Event (Crow’s Perch)
12:04 Witch Hunter Raids (bonus choice)
12:39 Werewolf of Velen (Wild at Heart) - เกม
I sometimes think a top 10 witcher characters video from you would be fun until I realize it would be so obvious that John Verdun would top the list so there´s no real mystery.
Correction, John would top "best characters of all time" it's that obvious and a waste of time to reiterate.
#1 Vesemir
That's it.
It brings me joy that despite I haven’t yet read any of the books, I made all of these Lore-Accurate choices in the game. I felt like the writers did a phenomenal job establishing just what kind of man Geralt is through his dialogue mannerisms and tidbits of backstory in the Witcher 3. This was enough for me to be confident in making these choices for him in game
What do you waiting for? Do it. If you wanna know more about Geralt and his friends, do it (Regis, Cahir, Melva, Dandelion, Angoulême, Cratch) more context about others characters like Yennefer, the best villain in the Witcher, Vigelforzt.
In defense of killing the succubus, it is within Geralt's character to get all the mutagens
Correct, cows are also harmeless, but Gerald killed thousands of those 😁
@@TeapodeIs Geralt an eco-terrorist trying to rid the world of methane from cow farts?
Kill the Novigrad one, that one actually deserves it.
Same here
Yeah, you simply kill the ones that had a string of murders attached to her name with a method that can only happen during sex.
12:59 This quest pissed me off because both end choices are to kill Niellen, even though he tells Mizlav in White Orchard that he can help with lycanthropy and Niellen didn't kill Hannah on purpose. It irks me that there wasn’t even an option to help the guy who was a victim to his condition, one that he tried and failed to cure on his own.
While I do agree that it is a shame you can't free the Niellen from his lycanthropy, I do think the option where he follows Geralt to be killed to make sense. The poor werewolf just found that he killed his beloved wife by his own hands, accident or not, thanks to his sister-in-law being jealous of his relationship with his wife. Also, Margret said that he wouldn't stop until the one reponsible for his wife's death was punished and as the one who killed her must be killed in recompense. Besides, if I'm correct Niellen doesn't remember the details of transformations and would forget about the truth that was revealed to him during the quest, so that only adds more motive to put gasoline on his pyre to ensure that he is killed for his crimes.
I came to this video to hear that argument
I think, that geralt knew, that guy just wanted to die, after learning that he killed his own wife.
I once went through the game selecting only the top dialogue option. All the decisions made sense.
Which in the case of the Novigrad succubus in 4:40, means killing her. I disagree with Neon here, that one is guilty as fuck. Guards, medics and the notice board all say guards were killed "in recent days" and that it is a "string of murders", heavily implying the deaths didn't happen all at once but over the course of some time.
Yet the succubus only claims she "does not lie" and "does not kill without reason" and that it was "to defend herself". Makes no sense why she would expose herself to life-threatening situations every day, so either it happened all at once (unlikely, given all other evidence) or she is lying.
In regards to Wild At Heart and Geralt's super-human hearing, I really wish there would have been a way for CDPR to have incorporated using Witcher senses during cutscenes for stuff like the sister's dialogue
I don’t know, from what I remember in the books, it’s not a thing, so he might just be lying to intimidate the guy. Witcher abilities can be kinda wishy-washy in the books though, and generally less powerful than in the games.
That would just make everything so easy. The regular Witcher sense already makes every investigation as simple as just following the yellow lines. It's not super fun. The interesting part of dialogue is using context clues and thinking through a situation logically to determine if someone's most likely lying or truthful
played through the game atleast 10 times, never met john verdun wtf
I've met him and saved him but never found the followup. 3 playthroughs
Now that's a wild level of obliviousness cus you can hear him scream as you travel the road, and he's located near a road that is mandatory travel for the main plot.
Ok dude @@headwindshield
@@ritaverdronk4341 He's right though
@@ritaverdronk4341he's right, literally 10 minutes after arriving to Velen, if you try to follow the main quest you will walk along the road that he's near.
I was expecting an April's fools video, but it's even better : It's a real one !
I know right, the odd 'fool' video can be fun but when it's absolutely everywhere it just gets tiring, so it's nice to see some genuinely delicious content from an old favourite
Yesss Neon, the guy in White Orchid lying about the horse cart. I always thought that Geralt knew he was lying from the start.
Shit, even I knew something fishy was up when I first spoke to him.
@@TheXivu_Arath I kinda felt the same way, but man really putting Geralt's ability to sense when someone is lying into context. Makes it seem like Geralt probably only gave the guy the benefit of the doubt before calling him out.
@@MatthewMaddox-ss3zp which makes sense. Geralt is the type of guy who wouldn’t throw around accusations without evidence as well as dismiss the guy when there is still a sliver of truth and the man genuinely needed his help.
You could argue he needs context. I mean that guys heart could have been pounding because he was talking about, well, almost dying.
"he is not like other gir... i mean like other men"
cracked me up so hard
also, would love a video on the witcher comics! I have no intention to read them, but I'm kinda interested in the stories
Although I’m not really a comic person (I may have read about 5 comics (at max) in my life), I enthusiastically read the Witcher comics because I love this universe so much, and I really, really enjoyed them. I couldn’t keep myself from reading the next one immediately after, in fact. They’re truly like some side quests that turn out to have really good stories that we all enjoyed. I highly recommend reading them, you won’t regret it.
@@egeozdemir5094Which ones?
@@Nai-qk4vp Well, I enjoyed all of them, but I’d say "Fox Children" is my favorite, followed by "House of Glass". “Of Flesh and Flame” was really good and kinda fun too, but "Fox Children" truly stuck with me. "Fading Memories" was also excellent, focusing more on the deeper aspects of The Witcher universe. I haven’t read "Witch’s Lament" and "Once Upon a Time in the Woods" yet, but I have high hopes for "Witch’s Lament" because of its name, I love the darker aspects of this universe
I've been waiting for "The choices Geralt would/wouldn't make" video for Blood and Wine. Nice work as always btw! 😀
Yup!
Lmao the way you said “knocking hooves”
I love the Wild at Heart quest, it's the first quest in the game I remember playing and thinking 'woah, that took a few unexpected turns'.
Being Geralt must be very exhausting when he has a main quest to do. He can't walk away from evil being commited if he runs into it but sometimes they're really are more important things to do. Yen at the start tells him not to be a hero and focus on finding Ciri but there's tons of quests and stuff to do in White Orchid alone
For the "wild at heart" contract in NG+ i agreed to get paid then proceeded to complete the quest on my own and when geralt saw the sister again in the cave he said something like "changed my mind" which is a cool detail.
Geralt made a lot of money in the books from several men of Toussaint who offered to outbid The Duchess to spare the harmless succubus who only occasionally "bewitched" grown men at night and never harmed a hair on anyone's head. 😂 The women just wouldn't understand so Geralt was paid even more to keep it a secret lol
The Yen smiling faces on the succubus killed me! But thanks for making another one of these, they're always great and made with a lot of love. You also have a really good voice for narration!
I remember loading an earlier save on the last one because i didn't want the werewolf to die. He had things under control untill the sister interfered. Though yeah if the player can easily pick up on the sister being a liar, no way Geralt couldn't.
Interestingly when I went back you can ask a villager about them. He mentions the sister being killed by a wolf and the guy leaving the village. Seems he found out the truth eventually.
With the last one I’m surprised lie to the sister isn’t an option as geralt says he’ll drop it but then you continue looking for the body
A day may come when we grow tired of the Witcher 3 content, but it is not this day!
Thanks for another awesome video, man. Btw, I gotta tell you, I really love your sense of humor, as well as your delivery (with little to no change in intonation, which somehow only makes a joke twice as hilarious).
May Melitele bless you.
Notifications do work! Keep up the good work Neon Knight 🙏 Absolutely love the stuff that you create.
We are back, love ur content!!
Nice, was waiting for this, really like this series
I love watching these videos, always look forward to them keep up the great work!
I ran straight past the Novigrad entrance, ignorant of what was going on to my left. When I entered the square I assumed I was watching a scripted cutscene
Just saw you upload and the thumbnail of the video, immediately got really excited! Thanks a lot for all your amazing work, it's really appreciated!
Cheers witcher and farewell on the path! 🍻
Ahh I love these types of videos! Keep up the good work!
Whilst I love your variety videos as well as the witcher, I love hearing your passion about this game its contagious really!
Please do continue being you man!
Awesome video. You’re among the top creators for Witcher content, so thank you!
Are you a fan of the golden one? Where have I seen you?
your videos legit make my day man
huge fan of the content man! Please keep it up!
Great video! We need one about the skellige troll wham-a-wham that kills the miners. That one was always a dilemma for me.
Love your channel man, I used your code to try a meal service for the first time. Keep the Witcher videos coming!
Thank you very much for your content from France !
I did an "evil Geralt" run on my last playthrough. Accepted the sister's bribe, then took the money from the husband, too. Couldn't stop laughing for like five minutes; that was horrible xD
Another great video!
Top quality content as always man
every time you drop a video i know its gonna be quality
These videos are never gonna stop. And I hope they don’t !
Can't argue with any of those. Just a shame I never get the Succubus decoction that way.
I was going to mention the choice about a certain Doppler in Novigrad, but now I think you already discussed that one in another video? I can't remember...
Just came to the comments to show appreciation. Your videos are great and as a witcher a fan its always a pleasure seeing content centered towards the games that's actually good and orginal. Been a fan sice day one, keep up the good work 💯💯
The Wild at Heart quest is one of the most interesting outcomes for me. On one hand, you could argue that Geralt would kill Niellen because he's a werewolf threatening to kill a human woman. However, every time I play through this quest, I'm always reminded of one of my favourite scenes of the entire Witcher series, specifically with first Witcher game's final boss and a very important quote from The Grand Master as Geralt towers over him with a silver sword:
"That sword...is for monsters!"
This is very telling of Geralt's character that we obviously know well enough at this point. And as you mentioned in regards to that specific trailer, that our Witcher is fully aware that humans can also be monsters and won't hesitate in slicing a few heads (also reminiscent of the quest with that Witcher from the Feline school in which Geralt lets the guy walk away) And exactly why I always allow Neillan to kill the sister. Because I find the end result to be a lot more interesting. I was surprised to say the least.
If you do consider discussing this in a seperate video, the final scene from the first witcher game might be worth mentioning. Wonderful vid!
Bro I lobe these "what would geralt do" videos please keep this series going 🙏
Cool fact I've done a lot of times. In Nielien's quest, if you accept the money but keep investigating, you'll get more rewards and Geralt will say: "I've changed my mind" went confronting the sister in the werewolf's cave.
Thank for another witcher video! I’ve played this game so many times and it never gets old! I’m about to do my first play through on my new PC. Keep the content coming 👍🏼
LOVE YOUR CONTENT KEEP IT UP!
Great video as always NK. Couldnt agree more. Also, would love a comic book video :)
Neon striking without warning. That's nothing to complain though hahahah
Great stuff as always man
Love your vids man. Leaving a like and comment to help with the algorithm.
I remember finishing up the Devil by the Well quest and getting the choice to refuse payment so the father could save the money for his daughter's dowery. I groaned because I was broke and needed to repair my equipment, but I refused the payment because it's what I'd do.
Man I love this channel ❤
I love this serie! I was waiting for new witcher videos 😍
I can't imagine how long you've worked on this video. WOW❤👏
Please do the silver basilik in Beauclair next. Kind of surprised that you haven’t done it already considering that it is a real moral gray area of a quest.
I love your The Witcher videos! I'd love to hear your opinion on "A Greedy God" quest.
I recently finished Witcher 2 and decided to take a proper look at a map of the continent. It's really cool to get a better picture of where events took place in the world.
Maybe you'd consider making a video of interesting places on the continent?
You are one of the handful of peeps I have seen that actually uses a brand they talk about in sponsorships. It must be good.
Love the content
I'd totally watch you deep dive into a lot of the more morally ambiguous outcomes to some of the contracts! It's one of my favorite parts of the game and why it's ranked as one of my favorites.
I literally just did the succubus quest nice timing.
Im on my first playthrough
Another Witcher 3 video? Nice 😎
Any info on WWGD Blood and Wine?
love your content
Here we go again, you made me want to play the game once more
its great when neon knight uploads a new witcher video, and on april's fools no less
It's a great day when you upload !
Also, do you have a link to the map that appears around 8:00 ? Thanks
I’d love a comic video! Fading Memories is one of my favorite and not enough people talk about it
4:29 That sounds more like The Doctor than The White Wolf.
I just watched the first Geralt Choices video yesterday! Sounds like the universe is wanting me to subscribe, I wont deny its wishes.
looking forward for the Blood and wine expansion.
and i mean, the entire quests choices beyond the main quest.
:}
A video on the comics would be great, I had no idea they existed.
Massive "yes, please do" to a video on the comics!
Thanks for reminding me about how awesome this game is
I guess I need to continue my unfinished Blood & Wine although I can't stop thinking about Dragon Dogma II
Man, I'd love to see two trolls in The Witcher 4 named after you and xLetalis😂You two are the best.
Thanks for the new video
I just finished my 6 playthrough of the game recently and found around 10 plus new things I didn't find before, this game is amazing I have around 1.500 hours in it and am planning to do more playthroughs in the future I also found your channel around 23k subscribers and being watching you ever since am hoping your channel continues to grow.
Babe wake up, new NeonKnight video dropped
I would LOVE a video about the witcher comic's!!!!
Agreed
Not little sarah to the woodchipper
Ahhh this made my week :D
Here's to another 15 minutes of you talking about our favorite game
Love those witcher videos.
please make more of these
We need a video on choices Geralt would make for the blood and wine dlc
I just recently started Witcher 2. There are so many instances where civilians and non-humans are in danger when you have a much larger quest to follow. It feels extra wrong to skip them. I had so many instances of my blood boiling at humans harming elves, made burnt elves at Novigrad gate mid.
You know how Geralt with how the cutscene when meeting Whoreson plays out.
OK FINE!!! ILL PLAY THE WITCHER 3 AGAIN FOR THE GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES! Love your videos
your favourite quest - about the sister killing killing Hannah is loosely based on polish play "Balladyna" by Juliusz Słowacki
Winds howling
I don't know if anyone corrected you . But about those baron's man . They are there right after you "save" Anna from swap. And there Are 2 groups of them . One Is where you show on video And other Is on left side after you cross thé bridge sir ❤ but any way great video i can't Wait to see more of you
i love, love, love your witcher videos, and the witcher books and games. not so much the Netflix travesty. Thank you.
I would love a Witcher comic books video!
I'd like a video on the comics considering I didn't even know they existed
I wonder if you use some mods that enhace the visuals or if you just use in-game settings. Great video by the way. 😃
There are Witcher comics!?😱. This feels like a future WTF Neon video
I slayed all the succubi and felt right doing so
In Velen, that's not a bug. It's a feature
Hello, binge watching those videos at the moment.
How do I get the little fighting stats showing up at the left hand corner? I'm not sure where I find this in my settings :(
To be honest during the wild at heart quest i tottaly forgot about what the children said and i took the bribe and i didnt know she was lying i just learned about this.
Just wanted to come here and say that I’ve decided the funniest line anyone says in the game is the kids at school who asks Geralt if he can “teach me how to cut someone’s head off?!”
Geralt would never get involved into Radovid's assassination
I'm still waiting for Witcher 1 - Every Choice GERALT Would Make
i'll happily start the debate on the wild at heart final choice if neon won't lol. it's one of my favourite side quests mainly for that, i think it does a great job of showing the difference between geralt's moral compass and a typical adventurer. the woman is awful and the hunter is a good guy, so naturally a lot of people will think leaving him to kill her and not killing him is the moral thing to do. and that might be true, but im 100% sure geralt doesn't do that, because two defining characteristics of geralt are that he will almost never decide someone deserves to die, and he cares a lot about his responsibility to deal with potentially harmful monsters. it's important to note that she didn't deliberately kill her sister, she just wanted to steal her husband which is cruel but not anywhere near bad enough to deserve death, and doesn't suggest that she could hurt anyone again. and more importantly the hunter proved beyond a doubt that if he ever changes at a bad time, or if someone wanders too close to his hideout, he will attack anyone he sees. so you have a woman geralt would never think deserves to die, and a werewolf who's proven to be extremely dangerous to humans threatening to murder her right in front of him. in that scenario i don't ever see geralt walking out, he'd not even consider the idea of letting her die, and it's his job to kill the werewolf. and in the end she got what she deserved by losing the man she accidentally killed her sister for, which i thought was fitting
Interesting look on this quest, and I must admit I agree!
