1:15 Yes. All the issues stated here is exactly why I subscribed so fast in the first place. Nobody else puts in the same effort as you do. I greatly appreciate the substantive quality I know I’ll get when I click on your Witcher videos, and I eagerly await each one. Thank you.
A 40+ minute Witcher lore video from Neon Knight? It must be my Birthday. Yes your Witcher lore videos are incredible, your humor 10/10, your editing skills 10/10, your knowledge 10/10, your passion 10/10. Please keep making these videos.
Dammit, I could've sworn Geralt killed that cat in season of storms. Paused the video as a matter of fact, looked through the book's final chapters, eager to prove you wrong, as people are wont to do in this world. Finally I forgot all about what drove me to open that polish guy's book, and once again got lost in his exciting, unique storytelling. Only remembered what had prompted my reread (which will be continued for the following couple of days it seems) when I saw my pc screen, 2 hours later. All in all, your knowledge and deductions regarding anything in the Witcher's universe I would now fully recommend to anyone starting to enjoy it!! Truly well done, sir.
it feels like there's so much care and cleverness into the making of your videos; the witcher youtube community really benefits from having you. so yes, i would fucking love a witcher video every month if it's a comfortable arrangement for you; much love.
I completely agree with your statement that most Witcher lore coverage is subpar. This is probably the best lore channel I know of so yes, one high-production value Witcher video per month would be a godsend. Looking forwards to it!
yes sir a witcher video a month shall keep my witcher addiction alive. Honestly though i have begun reading the witcher books from start again and its so good. This channel is just the perfect thing that could have happened to youtube witcher fans two years ago and i hope you keep it up.
Ha, I've read that same reddit thread about Karadin and I also was surprised at how confident everyone was with their decision to take him out. As though they had played some part of the quest I had missed, lol. To be honest, the whole 'coming up with elaborate out-of-game theories to reverse-engineer evidence that the choice you picked was the right one in a video game quest that was clearly included before it was fully written' is the most reddit thing ever, haha. Good video
TLDR: I interpreted it as Karadin is at the bare minimum twisting the facts to seem less culpable, Karadin seemed to wash his hands of his grim past and friends, rather than repent. So I begrudgingly back Lambert up rather than let himself get killed. Idk if its just the demeanor, but IMO Karadin sounded like the most untrustworthy, had the most to lose by Geralt digging into their past, and therefore the biggest incentive to lie. Lambert who we know, thought highly of Aiden, where as this random guy, who knows we are out for revenge just says, oh Aiden fucked up so we just HAD to kill him. The letter I think is genuine, but being on the body I took it as something recent, and more of a "It would be bad if I'm seen with you", rather than something a changed man would say when asked to join a slaving business. From the beginning Geralt knows that this is a quest to find and kill Aidens killer, and Karadin may not be "beyond a reasonable doubt" guilty, but imo is "more likely than not" guilty, so I chose "kill him" taking it as "lambert do what you must"
I totally agree about the lack of quality Witch lore content on TH-cam. The most prominent channel I've found is Old Witcher, which is usually common knowledge padded out by made up shit. Quality lore videos are very rare.
I watch most of your other game videos, but I originally came across your channel from the witcher content, which I love. You do it better than anyone else, and most of your fanbase is here for it as far as I'm aware, so if you're up for it you definitely should.
You don't GET muscles, he's a big mountain of muscle because he wants to be and worked for it I'm always more fascinated by how such a big bloke can be so stealthy, the way he moves in the games is really impressive 🙂
Oh hell yeah!!! Papa has blessed us with more Witcher content! I like the other content as well, you're a funny dude, but the Witcher videos are my favorite. Keep up the good work! ⚔️
Your videos are amazing. Your attention to detail and research is incredibly impressive and gives me new perspectives on quests and stories I've played through many times. Great work dude.
The high quality Witcher lore videos is what youtube desperately needs IMO. I watched a streamer finish the witcher 3 just recently and he wanted to deep dive into the lore of the universe. All the english-speaking options are just not it. And I, personally, will watch those videos twice each if you do that. I believe you can make the it best.
9:36 From my old playtrough I barely remember that in polish voice lines there is more emphasis on "none here can say they know Berengar" which as I remember (but might be wrong) implied that those witchers have met Berengar but he never really opened to them. Idk I haven't played witcher 1 in a while
Awesome video dude! All of the reasons behind Geralts choices makes so much sense not to mention there was lore mentioned here that was was not aware of during my time playing these games! Keep these style of videos up! :)
Loved the video, I’d look forward to your monthly Witcher uploads. You seem to be very thorough with your respect to source materials and citing of information
2:10 This might honestly be my favorite thing about witcher 1. I absolutely love the fact that you can even change the outcome of main quests by talking to random NPCs
There's this fan mod that tells the story of Geralt and Yen's wedding. Letho is there and we get flashbacks where the 4th viper school witcher is there with them, but leaves shortly after rescuing Yen. In this situation it is possible that he was captured as others, just seperately. Maybe CDPR can take it into consideration when remaking the order games
Honestly I feel like your format for Witcher videos fill a hole the community has had for as long as I can remember. While there are others who go into the tiniest details and have encyclopedic knowledge on the games and books, I tend to miss a more longform analytical style
23:28 I love the dynamic between Lambert and the others. Lamber is clearly a prick, but he also clearly loves them and he clearly doesn't like showing that he loves them because he must be tough and strong. And the others love him too and engage in his prickness just to get back at him, but also in good fun.
Great Video! I've more or less binged watched all your witcher vids the last couple of days. You're doing a fantastic job covering the lore and without a doubt you should keep making them! IMO, you're lore vids are the best out there on TH-cam! Cant wait for the "what would Geralt do" blood and wine edition! :) And regarding a new witcher video each month, sounds like music to my ears! The note and the family being fake is such a far-fetched theory. And it just doesn't make sense why a bad guy would try to rely his life upon a good faith of someone he doesn't know. Surely you can always find out the truth later, than what he would do? And after all, it's just not right to kill some guy 2 vs 1, unprepared and in front of his family. If Lambert wants to fight him, surely he can find a better time and circumstances for that, he can catch him red-handed doing sometthing bad and fight him there. But I feel like Lambert wanted Geralt to be there because he expected Geralt to stop him from giving in to his anger. Nothing is stopping him from fighting that witcher later on his on, except for his own doubts, which he obviously has

Now that you pointed it out I really dislike how the Witcher 2 doesn't cover reactions to Geralt killing two good friends. Also love witcher content so make more please
the witcher lore and comic book review/breakdown would be cool
I need to add Jad Karadin to the list of characters I want to recruit for a redo of Brothers in Arm.
Going from yelling at someone to Off Themselves over to playing victim.
Actual sociopathic behavior, wow
Witcher Lore PLEASE! Just discovered you and I am enjoying this!
Well, that sure wasnt in the intro CGI
Clearly the third person in the Geralt Memory cutscene is John Witcher, from the famous Witcher series. With his famous quote, "Every Witch has its Er."
Geralt's wardrobe in your videos is crazy 😂
